Theming Fun Duration
I mean what bad things can you say about Taron? Sure, some like to title it "forceless" because some people can't hanle thrill rides which are not about (sustained) forces. The fact is that Taron is a ton of fun and while it doesn't feature too many sustained forces, it has endless pops that are just as rewarding or even more.
-
Theming Comfort Fun Dead spots
Taron, on paper, is extremely overrated. The second half of each half completely meanders and it has very few moments of extreme force. But despite that, Taron is just so fun. The first launch is great and the first half of each half delivers, with highlight moments being those turns, hills, and twisted hills following the launches. Speeding through Klugheim is unlike any other experience, and even though the layout could be much, much better, I can’t knock Taron too much for that because it’s an incredibly fun ride overall.

Theming Comfort Launch Dead spots
This ride is good because of the theming. I wish I could give this more stars, but I can't, sure it has insane launches especially the 2nd, some good airtime pops and some good twisted transitions. It is very comfortable and fun and fast ride, but it haves dead spots especially before the 2nd launch and in the end of the ride, some turns are forceless and that shouldn't happen on a ride like this. It is still a good ride, but it's only because of the theming and would be mid without it.

Theming Launch Duration
Wow. The theming is astounding. Every time I enter Klugheim I am speechless. The launches are punchy, the near misses are awesome. This is not a airtime filled ride, although it has a lot of airtime. The main focus seems to be the near misses and the twist and turns through the village. The 2 launch is where this coaster really gets going. I don't mind the few shower spots in the ride since it gives you a breather and you can enjoy the theming.

Theming Masterpiece Layout
Taron is a masterpiece in theming and layout, great work between Phantasialand and Intamin. This 2-launch Blitz-Coaster features no inversion and it does not need it to become one of the best and smoothest ride experiences. The Theming of the whole world of Klugheim is Phantasialand-like perfection, Taron and Raik fit perfect into the medieval-fantasy-village between massive basalt-like walls. While the first launch sends the riders to the first overbank and some great snappy transitions, the second launch, supported by a intese sound effect shoots the train into a basalt wall and up a waterfall to the topmost point of the ride. My favourite moment of the whole ride. The layout is so confusing, you never know whats next and the fast transitions rips you out of the very comfortable seats. No banging, all in perfect harmony and well balanced. The watch the trains flying through the course from spectators view is impressive as well, because of the insane amount of track-crossings, the layout provides. One of my top rides.

Onride videos online don't look as amazing as this ride is at all!

Theming Smoothness Layout
You can only indicate three pros? That's disappointing! I would like to mark ten pros... One of the best roller coasters out there, without a doubt. It's not the most challenging of them all, but this is a masterpiece. A LOT of people can get on it, because it feels so comfortable and safe. Some people like other coasters more because more people don't dare to get on it, but I then you only rate to brag. Top class roller coaster!

Airtimes Launch Layout
Taron is one of those roller coasters that becomes a legend from its opening. Everything about this roller coaster is well done, everything is in its place. From the location, theming, queue area, to the passenger loading and unloading pace in the station. Everything until you manage to sit on the roller coaster is already an experience. But this experience is heightened once you are propelled by the first launch and it already captivates you. The ride is a collection of elements which stand out, for me, the launches and airtime. Also, what stands out about this ride is that even if you've ridden it multiple times, it's very difficult to memorize the layout and you will always be surprised by what comes next. A true legend.
-
Lap Bar Launch Pace
Warning: You need to ride Taron when it is warmed up. Otherwise you will be disappointed. When warmed up, the ride will haul you through the layout with some whippy transitions and a little bit of airtime. The best part is when the 2nd launch rockets you into the "mountains". Although it is a fun ride I think it is overhyped being the best coaster in Germany. I can't agree. The ride is too much family oriented and lacks intensity for the thrill seeker. It is also very sad, that no inversions have been integrated.
-
Comfort Launch Smoothness Intensity
Taron is an excellent launch coaster the whole family can enjoy. However for me it leaves something to be desired to consider it as more than a very good coaster. I think it should feature at least one inversion and the elements could use a bit more intensity. I personally think Helix at Liseberg takes a similar approach and succeeds just a bit more with its execution. Nevertheless Taron has a lot of snappy transitions and two very good airtimes to offer, when the track is warmed up. Overall it is a very good coaster which offers a special ride experience which I highly recommend to make.

Theming Launch Duration Dead spots
This ride is really good i like some of the ejecter airtime it was really fun and the launches are really stupid good i love the theming its one of the best in the world. But main con with taron with me is the dead spots like the trims on the bunny hills if the trims were never added this could of bean the best ride in the park but beacuse of the trims its a 9/5.

Launch Layout Duration Disappointing! Airtimes
My Experience with Taron was not optimal. Unfortunately I did not got any airtime. Because of this, the ride was a bit disappointing. However, everything else about the ride was great. There are two intense launches, forceful and disorienting transitions and a lot of different forces throughout the layout. It's a long ride too. The theming is also quite nice.
-
Airtimes Theming Intensity
This is a prime example of: don't judge a ride by its POV. The first time I rode Taron I was absolutely blown away by how good this ride is. Theming is excellent (as expected from Phantasialand), providing lots of near misses throughout the layout. The ride itself is a great mix of airtime, positives and incredibly snappy transitions. And the sound of that second launch is such ear candy!

Lap Bar Launch Masterpiece
I will admit, the first time I rode Taron, I was just a bit underwhelmed. The ride was very good, and the whole area of Klugheim is amazing, but I didn't quite get the hype for it. This was early in the day, and i'd had a 90 minute wait in sweltering heat, so when I noticed later in the day that it had just reopened after downtime and only had a short queue, I had to give it another shot. And oh boy, did it blow me away. When people say Taron warms up, Taron really warms up! Both launches are superb, though the second really does hit, my second favourite launch only behind Stealth. Both halves of the layout have some amazingly whippy transitions, and there's 3 really strong moments of ejector airtime, which stand out even more because this isn't really an airtime layout. Even the trimmed hills at the end gave some nice floaty stuff, not as good as feeling like you're going to be thrown into a rock wall, but still fun. And even after a long ride, you still hit the brakes with some good speed. All of this whilst speeding round an incredible themed area, with numerous head choppers and even a little sprinkle from the waterfall at the end of the second launch. And Intamin's train design is one of the best ever, super comfortable and the lap bar really makes you feel exposed to what's happening. A truly spectacular coaster in a truly spectacular themed area, and don't forget, if like me you get off and it's missing that little something, go round again a few hours later. It will blow you away as well

Capacity Launch Duration Dead spots
Riding this thing, late in the day, in the pouring rain is by far my favourite memory on any coaster. While it whips through the course in the morning, there are some weak elements/dead spots at the end of each launch block. Towards the end of the day, it flies through the layout a couple of the switchbacks can provide some powerful ejector. Klugheim itself is phenomenal, and the way it interacts with the ride makes it such a unique experience.
-
Theming Launch Pace
Two incredible launches that are sure to put your hair up on end, the first one was fantastic but the second just takes it to another level. On top of that you’ve got an incredible twister layout that interacts beautifully with the scenery constantly crossing over itself

Theming Launch Masterpiece Airtimes
After a very, very disappointing first ride on our first day in the early morning, we gave it an other chance on our second day in Phantasialand in the early afternoon and right before the park was closing. The difference between the early morning ride and the afternoon rides were night and they, it was like riding two different rides. It was amazing. It's not an intense coaster by any means, but it's really whippy and the sense of speed is awesome. I'm usually a back row person but this coaster is absolutely worth the wait for a front row ride. I've heard a lot about the second launch, how amazing it is, but it felt like nothing to be honest as the train already arrives here at some momentum. But the first launch ... WOW. It felt punchy and I could feel the forces pushing me back on my seat. It is a pure joyride. Loved it! Also I need to mention how breathtaking the Klugheim area is, where the coaster is located in. I've never ever in my entire life seen anything this impressive. The rockwork looks like every individual stone was carved by hand, I'm sure that's not the case but still ... The coaster is twisting through the buildings and pathways and it's integrated so well with everything surrounding it. The station music is epic and sets your mood for the ride really well.

Theming Lap Bar Pace
This rollercoaster is absolutely incredible, blowing away my expectations, which were already insanely high. Taron is defenitely a front row ride, since the speed of this coaster, blows the wind in your face. Along side the incredible village of Klugheim, that is not only stunning, but also has great food, the amazing visuals on this ride make it my number 1 coaster by far. It isn't an airtime machine, like some other coasters, but this long, smooth, beautiful, intense ride, featuring great launches, is not only worth it when visiting Germany, it's worth it wherever you are, even on other continents. This ride also has great supporting coasters, like FLY, Black Mamba and Winjas, making Phantasialand a whole experience. When visiting Phantasialand, Taron is a must ride, 100%. Lines never get too long in Phantasialand (in comparison to other European parks), so I was able to get 5 rides on my 3 day visit to the park. good luck riding Taron!
-
On a par with velocicoaster and is the best ride experience of my life. The theming is the best in the world, some beautiful moments of airtime, a long worthwhile ride. So enjoyable. The thrill factor is high, the intensity hits just right, no discomfort. It was perfect. You’d be wrong to assume a ride can’t go upside down

Theming Launch Masterpiece
I was lucky enough to ride Taiga and Taron back to back within a week, which are very similar in principle, given the coaster type and the park's space limitations. For theming, the launches and also the overall ride time, Taron easily wins, but when it comes to the layout, Taiga wins it for me with its inversions. Taron has one pretty good airtime hill, but then lacks variety and even has a couple of "dead-ish" spots. The brakes before that last smaller airtime hill towards the end of the ride should have never been there, if they aren't 100% necessary for safety. But all things considered, these are my only points of criticism, as i would still call Taron a masterpiece. The near misses on buildings and terrain adds a lot and it gives me an adrenaline rush and puts a smile on my face every single time.
-
Airtimes Theming Launch Dead spots
Very strong layout with violent ejectors and laterals! The sense of speed on the 2nd launch is absolutely insane! There are a few spots that are very sluggish.

Theming Capacity Duration
What else can be said? I expected a disappointment, as the POVs didn't look very impresive and I tend to disagree with the widespread opinions. How wrong I was. Firstly, Klugheim was breathtaking. Even though I knew that it was one of (if not the) best themed area in the world, pictures can't really show how intricate, complex and full of detail it is. The only way to start to acknowledge it all is to walk through the area, a single shot doesn't take in what Klugheim is. Track above and below and all around you, extremely close. The quite nice soundtrack. The wonderful, unique rockwork hiding the rest of the park. The storyline behind Klugheim and both its coasters, the most detailed one I've ever seen (it's out there on the Internet, though quite hard to find). The many stairs, tunnels, trenches and so, making Klugheim not at all flat. Left me wordless. And so did Taron, which, by the way, has nothing to do with what it seems on the POVs. I'm not a fan of laterals, but Taron has plenty of them, and, to my surprise, I did enjoy them a great deal. Whippy transitions, a few intense turns, some decent airtimes, a hell of a ejector twisted hill (the one everyone mentions) and a non-stop, never-ending ride experience. After my first ride, I couldn't tell what good things Taron had, as it didn't have any particularly strong element or forces, but it was sooo much fun. And it didn't get boring after 15 rides, one of them in the rain (had to close my eyes at the second launch, the laterals afterwards almost killed me XD). Intamin's new trains are great, and the raised seats are so much better than the ones on Red Force. On pair with Mack's for me. The near misses are the best I've experienced yet, beating even other Phantasialand rides. Loads of them, and extremely "near". Riding Taron hands straight up is a unique experience. The launches, thought, aren't as good as people say. Maybe I've been spoiled by hydraulic launches, but the ones on Taron didn't feel THAT forceful and they were too short. I hardly had time to enjoy them. Great anyway, only they're not the bests. Right seat is better for handchoppers, it has more, but the left seat is great as well, and I prefer it due to some better forces on some turns of the first half. And the capacity. Wow. I'd never seen something like that, not even at EP. Three trains operating, with loading and unloading station, all quite fast. That's more or less normal. But not when the park is EMPTY. On an extremely quiet day with a horrible weather forecast, the line was physically 20 meters long. And three trains were operating. Almost no wait! (hence the 15 rides) Finally, before I shut up, I must say that I don't have any nostalgic preference towards Taron. I rode it and FLY for the first time the same day. However, and contrary to expectations, Taron (and Klugheim overall) beats FLY by a fair bit. Better near misses, more intricate theming and Taron is still a solid ride without the theming, whereas FLY... I'l talk about that on its review.

Theming Launch Layout
Taron was everything I expected it would be. It is really forceful with a lot of sharp turns and airtime. The first row was the best row, so it's definitely worth waiting a bit longer. The theming of the whole are was also really great.

Tied with Untamed for best coaster in Europe

Launch Masterpiece Ejectors
What-a-beast. This proves a rollercoaster does not have to be high or whatsoever. The theming is outstanding first of all! The ride, suprises, launches, just everything is so well done. The music really warms you up for what is coming. And then the (first) launch. Great views, excellent power and the following upwards hill never bores me. Neither does the rest of the ride. You just rush in and around this Scandianvian style village and the track is rarely flat out. The ride wants to keep ejecting you. And then came the second launch. Lurking around the corner and oh my, this just gets me smiling every time I get on it. After this insane launch and sound effect (magnets vibrating?) it reaches its highest point on top of the basalt looking mountain. And it just goes and goes and goes. No moment of rest throughout the ride. I love it and it is worth travelling for together with all the other things this parc has to offer.
-
Launch Masterpiece Duration
Launches punchy even more so than velocicoaster. Trains are short like maverick but with good restraints and it feels snappy. A few airtime moments but it focuses of raw speed and even good laterals. Longer than I thought and very fun Front row was when I realized what a masterpiece was. Obviously theming is top notch as is expected from PHL

Theming Launch Masterpiece Airtimes
Finally got to ride Taron after years of waiting !! It did not disappoint ! And I think it might have even taken the spot of my top coaster!! :D I love it! The themeing, the layout, the speed, the comfort, and its pretty intense the way it throws you round some of the corners. I love a launch coaster, the 2nd launch is just perfect in my opinion. I love the twists and turns. the interaction with its own track, the near misses. Its perfect I love it. Its just missing a bit more airtime for me, but I still love it. Awsome awesome ! I wish I lived closer so I could ride it all the time !
-
Theming Launch Pace
This coaster is worth all the hype. It's pace is amazing. Doesn't got any dull moment and the fact that the layout intertwines that well with the area of klugheim is amazing. Love this coaster and always will
-
Launch Pace Masterpiece
It is as good as everyone say. It has great pace, great launches and really cool layout with gorgeous theming.
-
Lap Bar Launch Masterpiece
Taron is a speed Monster. It doesnt invert, it doesnt Feature huge ejector airtime moments, it just focuses on speed and i love it. While 117kph isnt nearly the fastest in the World, the tight layout and tons of near misses really make you feel how fast it goes. Its a unique "idea" of a rollercoaster (much like every other ride at Phantasialand tbh). The Nightrides are phenomenal since the already amazing Atmosphere comes in even better with all the smoke and dim lights everywhere. Phenomenal Coaster to me <3
-
sensations are perfect. BUT it goes so fast we can't really appreciate the setting

Theming Comfort Launch Dead spots
Taron is the absolute star of Phantasialand and at present is my favourite Intamin coaster. Some coasters excel at theming but poor as coasters like Baron at Efteling. Some excel as coasters but lack theming. Taron is the first coaster I have done that offers a masterful coaster AND gorgeous theming. The theming on Taron and how the ride interracts with Klugheim is absolutely incredible. The coaster itself has two fun launches ESPECIALLY the second, some nice airtime moments and some nice snappy transitions. This is also helped by the brilliant open next gen intamin trains. These trains and restraints to me are the best in the industry as the bar isnt bulky and heavy like the Mack equivalent and the raised seat is super comfy. Thumbs up in this area. The MAIN critiques I have for Taron is that it lacks variety in its layout and is repetitive, the pacing can feel off especially the way it seems to be running out of steam before launch two and those trims at the end wreck those hills. Those aside, Taron is every bit the masterpiece that its fans say it is!!

Theming Launch Masterpiece
I had the most insane ride on Taron yesterday. The lap before me had a rollback, so after a bit of waiting, because of standard procedure (5 minutes orso), we were put on a calibration lap. And my god, the LSMs were soooo much more powerful than they were. The coaster is already insane normally, but the punch this calibration lap had. One word, mindblowing. Taron absolutely tried to kill us. Sooo good. Even the trimbreak at the end did _NOTHING_ and those tiny airtime hills flung us out of our seats. I can now understand why on coasters like Top Thrill Dragster they tell you to put your arms down, because I still feel that launch a day later in my neck hahaha. INSANE, absolutely INSANE. I wish that Taron could have all their laps like this. To add to that luck it was a night ride too! Generally outside these ultrarare laps my ranking currently would still place Taron at 5th place in my top list, but this rare lap absolutely blasts it to no 1. Wow, just wow.

Theming Comfort Duration Capacity Dead spots
It's a good ride no doubt, great theming, fun long layout, great launches and a really complete experience. However, the ride is still a little overrated, it has some dead spots where it just meanders around and doesn't really do much. It also has a disappointing trim near the end. But even though these minor flaws exist, it's still an amazing coaster that I really enjoyed. (Bonus Tip: Take advantage of the Taron Hour between 2pm and 3pm, wait times get significantly lower during this time for some reason.)
-
Theming Comfort Duration Airtimes
Almost perfect ride. Great launches. It would benefit from a few airtime moments tho. Otherwise great fun

Taron got me into Rollercoasters, its crafted with love and the Goal to make a really good ride for everyone, and it does this really well!
-
Launch Fun Masterpiece
This ride held my #1 spot for longer than any other coaster, and it's hard to explain why I love it so much. The theming is unmatched for a thrill coaster, and the ride is almost as fun to watch as ride. From the moment you first launch, the ride is just pure fun. It has its intense moments, particularly the second launch and overbank, but overall my favourite thing about the ride is that you can just put your arms up and have an absolute blast. My favourite seat was the front for the better views, sense of speed, and near misses. Can't wait to get back on this ride soon!
-
Launch Pace Masterpiece
This is my favorite coaster in the world. It’s an absolute masterpiece. The launch is super Intense, especially the second one. And that’s very special considering the fact you’re coming into the second launch at high speed. It still punches you ahead with a roar and a rattle that’s just pure aggression. The pacing is incredible with a couple of nice ejectors and plenty of airtime, plus there are too many near misses to count which makes the sensation of speed extra intense.
-
Theming Comfort Fun Airtimes
Very good ride, with the worlds best theming, the music is amazing! The second launch is pretty intense and gives you a big adrenaline rush, the transitions are snappy. I got some good airtime on the first hill, but the trim on the last hills is a bit dissapointing, but you get some floater.
-
Theming Launch Layout
I was expecting Taron to be absolutely amazing but he was even better and exceeds my expectation in all of the ways. I have ridden him the first train in the morning and on the late afternoon and I have to say, that I have never seen some other coaster to warm up like Taron. Taron is fast in the morning but is even much faster in the afternoon. Spectacular. Full package. Great soundtrack, amazing location in Klugheim, no dead spots. No more words needed. Go to Phantasialand and ride Taron.
-
Airtimes Launch Masterpiece Dead spots
What a amazing worldclass coaster! The launches are insane and this ride is really snappy! It has some great ejector airtime on a twisted hill. The second launch is were the ride starts to get insane. I do have one complaint, before the second launch the S-turn feels like a small death spot but it's a minor one so it doesn't affect the ride
-
Theming Launch Masterpiece Capacity
Just the best roller coaster I've ever ridden! The theming is on the highest level, the launches are forceful and sound good, and the ride is very intense. You get thrown from side to side with awesome airtime. There are also some spots with strong positive G's. The part before the second launch is a bit slower which I actually like because it builds anticipation for that launch. Sadly the last two airtime hills are trimmed, but you still get some airtime. This and the capacity are the only negative things about Taron.
-
Comfort Launch Duration
A great long ride with awesome launches, snappy transitions and good pacing. The theming is incredible and takes this ride to another level.
-
Theming Launch Masterpiece
People can overrate some rides and I can see why people would be disappointed, but for me Taron is a fantastic ride and also an experience. Highly enjoyable ride and the whole area works in its favour aswell.

Airtimes Theming Layout
It is 3 years ago when i did this beautiful ride for the first time. After a good party we went with 11 friends to Phantasialand and that was for me the first time ever in the park. This park have amazing coasters and this one was my favourite with al the rocks everywhere. You ride like an animal to all the theming and the second launch is amazing. Now i rode this thing about 30 times and still is a strong coaster so number 8 on my top list coasters is deserved.

Theming Pace Intensity Dead spots
This coaster is a masterpiece! The launches are brilliant and pacing really wild. The trains has very good comfort and the forces during the ride are very very strong. The theming is the best I have experienced. There are 2 dead spots during the ride, but they don't take away from the experience. Overall this is an 10/10 ride. World class
-
Theming Launch Layout
This might be right now the best themed coaster in the world! The theme Klugheim is amazing and immersive. The coaster has 2 launches, very fast paced curves, very smooth, some intensity, nicely interwoven with the scenery and very fun to ride. There is really nothing bad to say about this ride, (a barrel roll might have been a cool addition though, but thats bickering on a high level) Thrill: 3.5/5
-
Theming Launch Layout Airtimes
This ride is a masterpiece! It has everything in its very long and twisty layout. You've got 2 good launches (especially the second one), fast tranitions, good positive g-forces and a very good airtime moment (and some weaker ones). This all is packed within an amazingly themed area. While it could use more airtime moments, it's still a great coaster that earns a 5-star rating in my opinion.
-
Theming Launch Duration Airtimes Reliability
A masterpiece especially in the front. The best LSM launch i have experienced its getting close to hydrolics. Theming is great, soundtrack is good and the ride looks amazing. Lots of rapid transitions, but a shame the air time hills got trims on Them. Also surfers with downtime.
-
Comfort Masterpiece Duration
Nonstop fun. What a masterpiece with a phenomenal layout and immersive theming. And all of that with the most comfortable coaster trains ever
-
Launch Fun Masterpiece
Absolutely Unbelievable. Long Layout. Insanely Fun. Probably the best themed coaster. Two strong launches. Quality airtime moments. Great whip. Such a complete package. Nightrides are Phantastic. Queue is a letdown compared to the rest of the ride but just going there at the ERT event makes up for it. - Also the ride provides a unbelievable experience in every seat of the ride with the front ones being the best (Right a tiny bit better than left)
-
Theming Pace Masterpiece Dead spots
The theming is incredible and makes this fast and twisty ride unique. The second launch is insane and the highlight of this layout. Apart of that it has a long duration. However, I think there are a few sections before the second launch which could be more forceful. But all in all this ride is truly a masterpiece!
-
Theming Launch Masterpiece
Just an amazing Complete package! Superb night ride!
-
Theming Launch Masterpiece
For me it's the best roller coaster I've been ridden until now. Two great launch experiences, feels insanely fast, throws you from one side to the other, super long duration and a mindblowing theming with multiple head choppers and near misses. I don't have a weak stomach - but after my ride on Taron, I really felt dizzy for at least half an hour. Well, the warm weather conditions on my day of visit may have contributed to this, but I never really felt something like this. Such a masterpiece of a roller coaster.
-
Theming Launch Duration
This coaster is absolutely outstanding: the ride is a real rush of speed from the beginning to the end, the theming is faboulus and the second boost is (and sounds) extremely forceful. The layout looks not really extreme from the outside, but it still provides plenty of fun and great thrills. Additionally, the track is very long, on my first ride it felt if the ride didn't want to end because when you expected the brake run, there was still another turn or twist. Definetely one of the best rollercoasters of Germany (and maybe even in the world...)
-
Theming Capacity Comfort
Amazing ride. Amazing theming. I would love it somewhat more if the launch was a tiny bit snappier. Love the capacity of this thing. Only real downside is the catterpillar queue near the sound barrier.
-
Airtimes Theming Intensity
Jesus Christ this ride is fantastic. It has everything I love in a coaster. It has great airtime, great positives, great laterals & whippy transitions, it's so long, it's incredibly smooth & comfortable, and the theming is the icing on the cake. My favourite part of the ride was probably the twisted airtime hill midway through the second half, but no part was especially weak to me. Any parts that could have been weak were made infinitely better by the constant interactions with the theming, with the hand choppers and head choppers adding a great amount of excitement to the ride. I will say that I experienced it on a very good day. It was very warm and it flew round the course, so I can imagine my opinion changing if I ride it again on a worse day, but overall, I love this ride, and I can't wait to get back
-
Airtimes Theming Ejectors Dead spots
A truly fantastic coaster, 2 great launches and surprisingly varied elements given the entire ride just appears to be s-turns. Fantastic variations in forces and the feeling of rushing through an intricately designed village couple together to make a jaw-dropping experienced, let down only by 1 deadspot where it feels like the coaster does very little.
-
Launch Intensity Ejectors Dead spots
What a nutty ride, especially once it's sped up in the evening of Wintertraum. Taron has fantastic trains with fantastic seats and restraints, fantastic launches and a fantastic themed area surrounding it. I went in with low expectations as it looks to just be 'S-Bends: The Ride', but it's safe to say that I was very wrong to think that. Whilst the layout is still pretty bland on paper, each transition rides differently due to the raised heartline and track shaping. Sometimes you'll be ejected from your seat vertically or laterally, sometimes you'll be folded entirely sideways, and sometimes you'll get all of it at once! The ride is stupid intense. A fantastic mix of positives, negatives and powerful launches. The theme and near-miss elements certainly increase the thrill of the experience, racing through the medieval village of Klugheim, and it's the kind of ride you will immediately want to do again. There are, however, a couple of dead spots on the ride that don't match up to the rest of the layout; a banked turn before the S-bends leading in to the second launch, and the turn before the final airtime hill. I feel that had these been ironed out then it would deserve a full 5 stars.
-
Theming Comfort Smoothness Airtimes
The Theming is stunning! The ride itself is fun.
-
Airtimes Theming Launch Dead spots
Random and violent moments of combined airtime and laterals, relentless layour bar a few deadzones, great launches and absolutely fantasic ride area and layout integration. Night rides are a must.
-
Theming Layout Duration
Taron is nothing but a masterpiece. I get it is not the most intense coaster, but to me intensity is not the end goal of a coaster; the end goal is to provide amusement and amazement, and Taron provides a ton of both of them. But don't get me wrong: it still provides a punch. Some says it's almost a "family" ride, but it is not. It provides some great airtimes, some curves are nuts and the launches are very cool. I especially like the sound Phantasialand created for them. And obviously, the theming is an absolute wonder.
-
Theming Capacity Duration Dead spots
For me this ride has some great moments however some parts of the ride are considerably less forceful and fun than other parts. This ride is also made better with the immaculate theming which adds new layers of fun with the many headchopper elements throughout the ride

Amazing coaster. Breathtaking, fast, great theming and an overall masterpiece coaster.

Lap Bar Nice surprise! Comfort Dead spots Reliability
It is a good to very good rollercoaster, but considering it's hype it will disappoint many riders. It does a lot of different things, but nothing what other coasters couldn't do better. There are rides with better theming (Big Thunder Mountain), better airtime, better twists, better intensity,.... A great rollercaster for the GP, but as an enthusiast it lacks a punch.
-
Theming Launch Masterpiece
I ride it regularly (several times every few weeks) and it does not get boring at all. It sustains its speed and it feels that it never slows down. The two launches (especially the second one) are very intense. Secret tip: If you happen to get assigned to the second row, take the right seat. There are two points on the ride where this seat is the most intense one :-) (don't ask me why, test it for yourself). The park just recently won the award of Europe's most immerse theme park. One of the reasons is Taron and Klugheim in general. Even if you don't ride it, you are part of the ride. Taron crosses the village of Klugheim several times. And if you are eating your Schnitzel on the market place, you will hear it, feel it and you want to ride again after your meal :-)

Theming Masterpiece Intensity Reliability
This is a true masterpiece... from the theming, to the layout, to the intense two launches.. it was the most intensive ride i've ridden so far... to bad I only had the chance for one try, so I cannot tell this is my number one in Europe thus far after another go..
-
Airtimes Theming Nice surprise!
First of all this is a visually most stunning coaster. The whole area of Klugheim is expertly themed and the coaster is extremely well integrated. The new seats are comfortable and leave nothing to be desired. The first launch has great sound design, but is not one of my favorites intensity-wise - it is merely good fun. The entire rest of the layout though is action-packed and consistently intense in just the right way. First half already feels way fast and features two amazing moments of airtime, the better one being a twisted airtime hill. Having a second launch and thus being able to increase the speed throughout the ride is a fantastic idea and adds to the sense of euphoria you feel. It leads you to the highest point of the ride, followed by the best element - another very violent twisted airtime hill. The trim brake before the last hill is too strong but might be necessary to reduce the forces in the final narrow curve. Duration of the ride is fantastic and you instantly feel that this is a highest quality ride. Very minor shortcomings (trim, some parts without interesting Elements,...) prevent it from receiving a perfect score.

Lap Bar Launch Fun Disappointing! Discomfort Airtimes
The poorly designed seat makes the transitions quite uncomfortable (There's nothing that keeps your body upright). In addition, the ride only has one moment of airtime and suffers from having an uninspired layout. On a brighter note the launches are excellent and very snappy for an LSM launch. The lap bar is very comfortable on your thighs and doesn't staple you.
-
Theming Launch Duration Airtimes Dead spots Intensity
It's almost perfect and the immersion is unparalleled for a coaster of this size, but - for me - the layout itself lacks a bit of airtime and is a tad too repetitive with too few iconic moments.

Launch Masterpiece Duration Reliability
Taron is easily the best coaster I have ever ridden! The launches are surprisingly snappy and the whippy transitions are top quality! The only downsides are the fact that the ride is a bit sluggish at the end of the first half, but that means that the second launch hits really hard! The only other thing is the reliability as the coaster went down a few times during my day at Phantasialand. Overall a great, amazingly themed ride experience!

Amazing coaster with an incredible launch, great airtime moments, pops of intensity, and rapid transitions. Still my favourite EU coaster having ridden Helix, Shambhala and many other top rated EU coasters.

Theming Launch Masterpiece
My number one coaster...The theming is incredible. Klugheim is absolutely magical and beats Disney's theming. The ride is epic with no slow moment, second launch is the highlight launching upwards past a waterfall that is the best element in the ride. Counting down to ride it again.

Theming Layout Duration
Definitely my favorite ride. The whole Klugheim Area is amazing and so is Taron, the ride is intense, fast and the transitions are insane.

Launch Intensity Ejectors
I would add way more "main pro's"but I can only add 3. It is up till now the only coaster that gave me euforia when I left it. It realy feels like taking drugs

Airtimes Theming Launch
An amazing double launch coaster with some of the best theming i have ever seen on a thrill coaster. As the day moves on it warms up and just gets better and to top it off, it gives one of the best night rides you will find on any ride in the world.

Airtimes Theming Masterpiece
Brilliant coaster! Silky smooth yet incredibly intense throughout the entire ride. Lots of airtime too. Overall just an amazing coaster.

Theming Launch Masterpiece
So, Intamin finally manged to create seats which are not uncomfortable - still not on par with the Mack seats, but a good step forward. Phantasialand has created a mind-boggling setting called 'Klugheim' for this ride and the coaster is indeed roaring through the buildings and pseudo-stones. Especially the second launch is great - the rest of the layout is very repetitive. I don't say this often, but an inversion would have been a nice distraction from all the twists and turnarounds during the course.

Airtimes Theming Masterpiece
Taron is simply amazing. My 3rd favourite rollercoaster.

Airtimes Masterpiece Harness Dead spots
So this is probably the best coaster experience I've ever had. I've followed the construction of this ride since the first supports started going up and have been amazed by what my new favorite park in the world has been able to pull off. I always looked at this coaster as a bucket list coaster that I wouldn't be able to ride for years but I was finally able to get on this beast this summer. I love this ride to death and there's just so much about it that's great. As a layout, this coaster is not the best since there are a few weak spots (though flying through theming does help a bit) and the trims at the end put a small break in the pacing. However, as an experience it is the best coaster I have ever ridden and if you would ask me what coaster I would want to ride right now over and over again it would be this. Both launches on this ride are fantastic (the second in particular), there's some great airtime moments, and some amazing near misses with the incredible scenery the park has built. The restraints really do make this ride since they outdo Mack's in every possible way. These are the best and most comfortable restraints and seats I have ever experienced on a coaster and the amount of freedom you have is incredible. The ability to have so much free movement makes this ride. I've loved this coaster since the beginning and I'm so happy I was able to ride it. I highly recommend a visit to Phantasialand as it is the best themepark in the world in my opinion. I know I'll be returning in the near future! P.S. I know I'm definitely overhyping the ride but we all overrate our favorite coasters.

Airtimes Theming Intensity Dead spots
I can't even find words to describe how fantastic this ride is. I'll put it simply, it's been years and years since I've walked off a ride feeling quite like that. The launch, the airtime, the transitions, the intensity, the near-misses, everything about this ride is flawless. It's the most incredible experience I've had the pleasure of doing in my life. But, I gotta get in depth somewhere. I'll just start off by saying that the restraints on these newer Intamin rides are fantastic! Some of the most comfortable restraints and seats I've ever sat in personally, but I don't think they're quite as good as MACK Mega trains or GCI Millennium Flyers. But the lapbar is amazing and even if you pin yourself to the seat (the ride-ops do that, unfortunately), it feels really comfy, and it does not at all get in the way of the ride, like some restraints do when tightened too much. And it being a lapbar (Unlike other Intamin Blitz coasters) means that you get total freedom on the layout, specifically the airtime. Speaking of airtime, this is some of the most incredible airtime I've ever experienced. I remember somewhere I read that the highest negative G-force you get on the ride is 0.75Gs, which is BS. After the amazing first hill, you enter a really intense turn and then one of the most amazing "Intamin twists" ever, and once again, the lapbar makes it better than say, Maverick's, to name one. You pass really close to some buildings and dive over the launch track. It kinda meanders before the second launch, which is kinda boring for a bit, and then you hit the launch. When you do, it just friggin takes off at incredible speed, it's a bit unfortunate that it vibrates because the second launch is really good, and quite intense. Not as good as the first, though. After that, you the highest point of the ride, with a fantastic view over all of Klugheim. During the ride, you race through this really intense overbanked turn (After the highest point) which is, in my opinion, one of the most fantastic moments of the ride and one of my favorite overbanks. I find it to be quite similar to Maverick's Stengel dive, actually. The ride's a blur from start to finish, and I can almost guarantee that you will be light-headed for at least a second after riding. But it's absolutely fantastic, and surprisingly intense. To me it seems as though it was slower in the videos, but videos do not do this ride justice, at all, it's much more intense than it looks. (as everyone had previously said). The lapbars , IMO, make this ride a lot better than it would be otherwise, and allows for some really fantastic laterals without making the ride uncomfortable. (PS, sit on the right side. You get a lot more near misses, and you also get wet on the waterfall after the second launch. It's amazing). BY THE WAY, you won't get bored in the queue, it's surrounded by track and trains run every 30 seconds or so, so that's an awesome plus. And since trains run so often, the queue is in a constant state of motion as well.

Simply breathtaking coasters. The first half might have slightly sluggish pacing, but what comes after the second launch more than makes up! Insane succession of twisty turns taken at sheer speed. The intensity of that second half is really impressive. Phantasialand has produced yet another jaw-dropping theming to make the experience even more awesome.
