Most painful coaster I’ve ever been on. We all said never again after the credit. Better layout than Time Warp next door. Theming is great. Wish I could have ridden before it reaches tear it down stage. Recent front row re-ride was better and gives the impression of what new trains and a retrack could do for a good layout.

Great mountainside setting like the rest of Dollywood, and Lighting Rod makes full use of that in the layout. I never rode it with the launch, but it’s still great without. Despite it technically having more prime ride time than Iron Gwazi and ArieForce 1, Lightning Rod somehow manages to feel *much* shorter than any other RMC I’ve done, save Twisted Cyclone.
