Theming Launch Headbanging Discomfort Dead spots

The theming in the queue and station is great. Unfortunately, the ride can’t hold up to the expectations built up in the queue. Xpress starts off with a surprisingly intense launch followed by the seaserpent-roll making for the rides highlight with only a few rattles. After that there is not too much happening and it’s quite the rough experience overall, with the seats being super uncomfortable too.

    Airtimes Fun Duration Harness

My first RMC raptor, and I absolutely loved it! Definitely a back row ride--unfortunately, there is no seat selection--but man does that first drop rip you out of your seat in the back! Tons of airtime and unique elements throughout. Only thing I didn't like about this ride is how the seat positioning makes you straddle a big metal block in the middle--if you have longer legs this might not be a comfortable experience for you.

Fun kiddie coaster. Goes around the short track 4-5 times.

    Location Fun Duration

By far the best alpine coaster I have ridden. I love how they incorporated it into the terrain so well. Surprisingly fast and has tiny pops of airtime too! This ride does have a bit of a slow moving line since it's only one person per car, so ride this early in the day and get multiple rides before the line gets long!

    Location Discomfort

Janky little ride, but has some interesting turns and quick drops. Amazing location and views!

    First Drop Location Too short

Enjoyable ride in an incredible location. The lift hill and first drop are awesome--on the lift, you are staring up at the clouds, and then the drop has you looking down at the city a thousand feet below! Defiance is a very short ride, but this is likely due to the lack of space on the mountainside. Some have said it is surprisingly rough--I personally didn't experience too much of this, but I did hit my head hard against the restraint on one of the inversions, so brace yourself! Definitely worth a trip up the mountain to ride.

    Theming Comfort Fun Dead spots

Taron, on paper, is extremely overrated. The second half of each half completely meanders and it has very few moments of extreme force. But despite that, Taron is just so fun. The first launch is great and the first half of each half delivers, with highlight moments being those turns, hills, and twisted hills following the launches. Speeding through Klugheim is unlike any other experience, and even though the layout could be much, much better, I can’t knock Taron too much for that because it’s an incredibly fun ride overall.

    Airtimes Theming Duration Disappointing! Discomfort

FLY is one of the most overrated rides I’ve been on. Many people praise it for its reinvention of the flyer, saying it delivers a fantastic ride experience with all sorts of forces. I can see where these people are coming from, but FLY didn’t even come close to blowing me away. The theming and near-misses are fantastic, yes, but in order to appreciate them, you’ll have to wait for the front row. I could talk all day about this awful loading system, but I won’t. Just know that if you want to wait for the front, it’ll be very frustrating. Back to the ride itself, FLY does deliver some great moments of airtime which are really unique sensations on a ride of its type. It’s decently intense (despite the lack of a pretzel loop), but even with Vekoma’s attempts to make flyers more comfortable, FLY’s still not. Even with those negatives, the ride itself is very good. It’s long with great forces and inversions, as well as fantastic theming and landscaping. This isn’t a bad ride by any means, but I was expecting more.

    Theming Inversions Intensity Dead spots

Black Mamba is a very solid invert. Like most others of the model, I prefer it up front where it’s more intense and you’re able to appreciate the lush landscaping that accentuates the ride experience. Despite its modest stats and a bit of meandering towards the end, Black Mamba packs a punch and is a great ride.
