Alright, this is an interesting one to review. Around 10 months ago, I would’ve given this ride either 2 or less stars, and added discomfort and head banging as cons. However, I have experienced a massive 180 with my relation with this ride. Stand as high as you can on the first drop, turns, batwing, and double corkscrews, chill on the straight track, and keep your head forward on the vertical loops. By doing this, you get either way fewer head banging or none at all. The first drop is quite fun, but that is immediately overshadowed by the first vertical loop. Words cannot describe how intense this is, you need to ride it to know what it feels like. You’ll then take a left-hand turn and go into more vertical loops, this time being back to back. These first 3 inversions are powerhouses of positive g’s, which adds variety to the layout. (more on that later) Then you hit an airtime pop into the mid-course. This single airtime moment managed to make it into the pros, which for first time riders, will be a surprise. The mid-course slows you down hard, but not as hard as another coaster in the park. This however, is an example of what a mid-course slowing you down hard should be. Because after the mid-course, you’ll head into a turn and batwing. The batwing provides insane hangtime, all because of that mid-course. Brace yourself for the trimmed turn after the batwing though, this moment is going to give you the most headbanging on the ride, even with the “trick” mentioned earlier. Then, you’ll go into more hangtime filled inversions, with the double corkscrews. Back to the inversion variety comment, you get a mix of positive and negative g’s on the inversions, with the first half being fast-paced, and the second half being in slow-mo. After the double corkscrews, you’ll head into some straight track, and the final brakes. However, in between the straight track and brakes is where you’ll have another moment to brace for cautiously. There is a little dip in between these 2 moments, and just like the trimmed turn from before, it also gives a lot of headbanging. These 2 moments are the only parts you should be worried about in terms of headbanging. (assuming you followed the “trick”) If you’re able to, ride this at night. This thing is a whole different beast at night, where you can get some of the best night rides in the park along with Tatsu. Be warned though, when you ride at night, you might find the daytime rides to be underwhelming.

The best non-dueling raptor. I honestly don’t see why people rank Twisted Colossus over this, no hate to that ride, but this is the superior SFMM RMC. The first drop in the back row is something no one will ever mention when talking about the best first drops, despite it being worthy of being mentioned. Pretty much every single airtime hill delivers ejector, even the finale. In the front row, you get vicious whip on the dive loop and the turnaround that has like 3 names. During the 0-g stall, at least for me, I feel peace, just being by myself with no one to my sides while being upside down. I don’t know why, I’ve experienced many other 0-g stalls, but for some reason I feel this way on this particular stall.

This is without a doubt the most overrated coaster at Magic Mountain. As much as people try to praise this coaster for what it has to offer, they really only care about the pretzel loop. The pretzel loop is obviously really good, but I’m not riding a coaster just for one element. The main pros listed are genuine pros, but I had to choose something, and this ride is praised for those pros but like, it’s a B&M, most of their coasters have the same pros. Theming is also one thing that people praise this ride for, but be honest, you don’t care about theming as much as you want to. The people that say this are usually people who have Iron Gwazi as their number one.
