    Inversions Launch Smoothness Capacity

Haven’t ridden too many coasters, twisted colossus and Tatsu are currently atop my list. This ride has given me a new love for launch coasters. The first launch is soft. The second launch backwards is much more forceful. Then the third launch is smooth as butter. The track is nicely laid out, with all the elements rolling into one another seamlessly. Lap bars help create a bit more drama and excitement. Of all the inversions, I think the last corkscrew(?) is my favourite. I do rate this ride quite highly. My biggest con would be ride capacity (only one train). I can’t see why there couldn’t be a second train loading up while the first is already on the track.

    First Drop Headbanging Discomfort

This corkscrew model is seen in a few spots around the world. And from what I’ve read, they are all quite uncomfortable. I believe this is the same model sea world Gold Coast used to have. Bit of nostalgia for those who rode it in their youth. But most definitely a headbanger nowadays.

    Fun Smoothness Too short

A good (albeit short) family coaster. If the queues are short, it’s worth a couple of rides. A hidden airtime hill at the bottom of the second drop is a nice addition. Also, you are likely to get wet!

    Launch Fun Too short

This is such a fun little coaster. Total ride time of about 30 seconds. The whole track is within 6ft of the ground, and that combined with the 70kmh speed equals a fun time. Rode it 3 times in a row it was that fun.

    Airtimes Smoothness

Until the age of 32, I had an irrational fear of roller coasters. On a holiday to Japan from Australia, we ventured to Disney and Universal. Hollywood dream was my first ‘big’ coaster. The first drop was one which filled me with so much fear, but after that, the ride was so smooth and pleasant. I listened to Michael Jackson’s Beat It to try and ease my nerves. My fear of coasters is slowly diminishing, but this one will always have a special place in my heart.

    Theming Smoothness Duration

Great entry level coaster for the whole family, including the little ones. As with most Disney rides, the theming is fantastic. Lots of tight turns and drops. Great fun.
