First Drop Inversions Intensity Headbanging Capacity Harness

Wasn't sure what to expect from this ride, I'd ridden 2 Boomerangs and didn't hate them but I was skeptical of an inverted one. What I got were the positives of a regular Boomerang (intensity, drop, backwards section) amplified. The one big problem is the restraints which cause headbanging. It wasn't too bad to make the ride awful, but it did detract from the fun. If the harness could be replaced without fully replacing the train (we don't need another Goliath) then Invertigo would be great. Oh, and its capacity is kinda bad, but it's a Boomerang, what did you expect?

    Headbanging Too short Capacity

Shakes like FoF but without any "flight" and much more "fear" that you're head's not going to make it. The whole ride feels like Arrow transitions, and the old Vekoma restraints cause headbanging. They don't call them "Hang 'n' Bangs" for nothing. Sad because otherwise it's an okay ride to introduce kids to inverted coasters. At least you can let them know that the inverts only get better from here (unless they ride an SLC).

Inversions Launch Fun Rattle Dead spots

Some decent theming, and a nice launch. Flying through the darkness never gets old, and this ride mixes in some inversions for more insanity. The first launch and inversions are fast-paced, and the ending is very rapid-paced as well. However, the middle of the ride is a glaring dead spot where the mid-course stops you like the Giovanola hypers. Also, the ride shakes the whole way through. Fix these 2 glaring flaws, and this is an amazing ride that's probably better than Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

    Airtimes Lap Bar Fun Intensity

B&M Hypers are pure fun, and Diamondback is no exception. Floater airtime on every hill, and you get to enjoy every second of it with the clamshell lap bars. Plus, the splashdown looks cool. My only problem is the helices don't do a whole lot. SFOG Goliath really stands out with its helix halfway through to mix things up. Regardless, Diamondback gets 5 stars because intensity is never the main focus of a B&M Hyper, but airtime, and Diamondback does that very well.

    Location Fun Duration Rattle Airtimes

The Beast is quite insane. Even if you don't like it, you have to respect its legendary reputation and the fact that it was built by Kings Island in 1979! The Beast lasts forever yet I never want it to be over! Its location really stands out, going through the woods, and gives it a "don't miss for the world" kind of night ride. I think if the few airtime hills on the ride actually gave airtime, it would be 5-stars. Regardless, it's meant to be a speed machine, and it does that well. The ride still shakes and bounces a bit on the straight sections, but I'd imagine this is wayyy smoother than it was before the retrack. Thank you to KI and Gravity Group for keeping the Beast going strong!

    Inversions Nice surprise! Intensity Rattle

I didn't expect to like Banshee this much, but I did. I heard it strangely had a rattle for such a new coaster so I was worried. There was a rattle, but it wasn't bad at all and didn't take much (if anything) away from the experience. I thought I'd hate the vest restraints, but I was strangely okay with them on this ride. The first drop is good in the back, and the rest of the layout is non-stop intensity. The selection of inversions is great, especially the heartline roll at the end (that was a "Nice surprise!") Overall, I was very impressed. I still like Montu a bit better but it's definitely close.

    Theming Launch Fun Dead spots

Great intermediate coaster. First off, the theming is cool, really wish it told some kind of story (like why is a helicopter shooting at us?) but at a Cedar Fair park, I'll take what I get. The launch is good and that helix spiral right after is pretty intense. The finale is great too as it travels through a dark section. My main problem is that you stop at the "show" area for too long to see a helicopter "shoot" at you (which is just some lights flashing). It's cool the first time, but without fire or moving parts, it gets old quickly. Solid ride overall though.
