Honestly not sure why people love these sky rockets II's. I was not a big fan when I rode this, the best element was the backwards launch and everything else just fell flat. The capacity on this ride is also trash, I only rode it once because of this: what a shame.

Pretty fun ride. Has good hangtime at the top and good forces on those steep angles. The comfort collars definitely bring down the ride and it is also really short. For such a short layout, it does to a great job of making itself not at all repetitive even though it uses the same track, but it is still shorter than I wish it was.

These Sky Rocket II models are fantastic! There's a good reason they're cloned as often as they are. The swing launch is very fun, cresting the element after the launch gives some wicked ejector in the front, then the roll that high up has oodles of hangtime, and the subsequent drop has some unhinged ejector in the back. Very fun layout whenever you seat, best ride in the park shall I say! It's a shame its so quick but it's understandable for a coaster whose purpose is to be compact and fit in a lot of parks. The cramped trains and bothersome comfort collars aren't a problem at all during the ride, just annoying to get in and out of the train.

This is my first Sky Rocket II and I thought it was pretty fun. The hangtime on the roll is the highlight of this ride, the train absolutely crawls through that roll. The biggest downsides are the capacity (being a shuttle coaster) and the comfort collars, which are really annoying.

This is the best Premier SkyRocket2 model out there. It runs the smoothest out of all of them and is extremely re-rideable. As a ride itself, it is very short but the point of this ride is a small and compact but high scale rollercoaster for parks to buy. The swing launch picks up speed quick and the heartline roll at the top gives some killer hangtime. If this ride didn't have comfort collars and had full throttle style lap bars, it would be ranked so much higher. You then go through a quick ending with another inversion and a few turns right back into the station. Very fun ride and recommend it when you come to SeaWorld.

Electric Eel is decent. There is airtime on the first swing forward in the front, and ejector on the drop into the loop in the back. The hangtime on the roll is crazy and sustained. The 180 transition going up after the third launch is very sudden and quick. However, the Comfort Collars don’t do anything good. You’ll likely bang your head throughout the ride. They’re also very inconvenient trying to take on and off and slows operations. The trains are also very tight. However, the ride operations are typically very fast. There isn’t much theming other than a little bit of rockwork that isn’t very obvious.

Electric Eel is a fun coaster. It's not amazing by any means. It's pretty short. The comfort collars are annoying. But all in all, you still get a great inversion and some really forceful, whippy moments.

Seaworld San Diego is obviously the least roller coaster oriented park in the Seaworld chain. This park has always focused more on conservation efforts and animal shows. it was the birthplace of the original Shamu, it was the first park to remove their orca shows, heck, it was the first park in the Seaworld chain. The park's future looked to stay that way for a while, maybe Seaworld would've added one or two rides every 5 years, but the park was always gonna be more of a marine park. Then, enter Blackfish, and with all the protesters that surrounded the park every day, Seaworld was forced to change their image from a zoo to a thrill park. This is when they added Electric Eel, a Skyrocket II clone, a huge step up from the family rides they had been adding the last 10 years. 150 foot tall ride with huge inversions and launches. In my opinion, this ride is one of the best coasters ever created. Maybe it's not the greatest ride ever, but the thrills it managed to fit in such a small layout are pretty unbelievable to me. To ride this ride, riders enter an unthemed queue with generally short lines, but long wait times because of the slow operations. Once the wait is over, you proceed to sit down on the train, put on the comfy lap bars, and the maligned comfort collars, which in my opinion, aren't that big of a deal. Once the ops check the restraints, you are launched forwards and go up a bit, then come down again. You go up the track facing forwards, go down backwards, and then the ride gets intense, as you go high up the track facing forwards, drop down, experiencing floater airtime, and gather enough momentum to go to the top of the coaster. By then, the ride crawls through a small straight section before going through an inline twist, which in my opinion, is the best moment of hangtime I've ever experienced. Your body separates from the seat, and it seems like the only thing stopping you from falling is the comfort collars. After that twist, the train goes through a small section of straight track once again, then drops to a non inverting loop, but the loop isn't what impressed me, it was the drop into the loop that did. You just get ejected out of your seat in the back row, and I've heard that moment delivers -2 g's, and it definitely feels like the airtime is that strong. I am torn on which part of the ride is better, that drop or the inline twist. Well, after the non inverting loop, the train heads back to the station, goes backwards and forwards once again, and then the brakes stop the ride. This ride is obviously the best at SWSD, and luckily, the lines are always short since the park's most frequent visitors are elementary schoolers going on school field trips, and most of them can't ride because of the height requirement, so they head over to Manta or Atlantis. That makes the ride really easy to marathon. In conclusion, this ride is short and sweet, with two amazing stand out moments, one with amazing hangtime and one with amazing airtime. And of course, the launches, backward and forward. I'm a big fan of this ride, and even if it isn't loved all that much because of its consant cloning, its comfort collars, and its length, I'm a big fan. Once Emperor opens up, SWSD will have a great top 2, and this ride, the other rides, and the zoo exhibits make me happy this is my home park

Very fun little ride with a lot to offer. Having fun launches, both backward and forward, a memorable heartline roll at the apex that gives great hangtime with those lapbars, and some picturesque views of the surrounding bay while at said apex, this compact ride is definitely worth a ride or two. Unlike Sky Rocket 2s at larger parks like Superman: Ultimate Flight at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, you don't really run into too many problems with capacity at smaller parks like SeaWorld San Diego; wait times end up being pretty mild, allowing for plenty of re-rides. Would definitely recommend that you sit in the back.
