Now THIS is how you do an indoor coaster. This is my favorite of all the indoor coasters I've done. I enjoyed it more than Expedition Everest, Space Mountain and Rock N' Rollercoaster. This ride throws quite a few surprises at you (no spoilers), which are way more intense since you can't see anything for most of the ride. Also, the theming is amazing. Don't miss this one. It's just a super fun ride even thought it's not super intense.

This is another WDW coaster that I loved as a kid. Just like Thunder Mountain, it has great theming and was very unique for its time. While the ride's top speed is not very fast, it does have some surprises in the layout. For its time, it was the best indoor rollercoaster. Of course, there are now much better indoor coasters. Space Mountain isn't going to excite the hardcore coaster enthusiasts, but it's a great starter coaster for the kids.

When I was younger, I loved this ride. It's actually got some fun and unique elements, especially considering how old it is. No other mine train coasters started with a launch like this one did. The layout was actually pretty fun for a "family" coaster even though it wasn't super intense. Nowadays, it doesn't stand out as much. However, it's a great starter coaster for the younger kids.

Expedition Everest was a very fun ride. As usual with Disney, theming plays a big part of this attraction. There is a lot going on with this ride. Some of it is outdoors. Some of it is indoors. One part is forward and the other part is backwards. It makes the total ride experience a lot of fun. One issue I have is that the ride should be a lot better given the time and cost. This thing took 3 years to build and cost $100M. A decent rollercoaster costs in the $20M - $30M range these days. For the kind of investment that was made for Expedition Everest, I'd expect it to be in my top 10, which it is not. Still, it's a really solid ride that's worth doing if you visit Animal Kingdom.

I rode this coaster as a kid not too long after it opened. I had just gotten interested in riding rollercoasters and I was blown away by how much fun it was. I especially loved the variety of inversions such as the dive loop and zero G rolls. These early B&M coasters really stood out for their smoothness and creative layouts. At a time when the majority of the steel looping coasters were the rough Arrow and Vekoma models, these B&M loopers were great examples of what modern engineering were capable of creating. I'm sure it's aged a bit since then, but this one definitely holds a special place in my coaster riding history.

This is an amazing ride and easily became my #1 rollercoaster. This ride is just so close to perfection. There is so much to love about this ride: the air time, the first drop, the insane outward banked air time hill, the 2nd half inside the structure is just as good as the first half. My only real complaint is the lap bar. I really wish it provided some kind of handle to hang onto like Wildcat's Revenge does. Still, I can overlook that because of just how good this ride is. BELIEVE the hype. This ride is amazing. Just go ride it. If you don't like it, you need to get your head examined.

Fahrenheit is a fun multi-inversion coaster. It's got a great vertical lift hill to build the excitement and an awesome first drop. All of the inversions are fun and the pacing is great too. There is a good level of intensity and even a bit of air time. There are 2 main complaints about this first. First off, the capacity is pretty bad. The trains only hold 12 people and Hersheypark operators tend to be very slow. As a result, this ride tends to have a long line. Fortunately, it's in a good location to be able to get a quick look at the line as you are making your way to/from the back section of the park. So, occasionally you can get lucky and catch a time when the line happens to be short. The other issue is that it's a little bit too short. It could use a few more elements. Because of it's short length and long wait times, it loses some points. For those of you who are wondering how to convert Celcius to Fahrenheit, the formula is: F = (9/5)C + 32

I just recently returned to SFGAdv since Kingda Ka first opened and FINALLY got a chance to ride El Toro. I had really been wanting to ride this to be able to compare to Skyrush and Steel Vengeance. El Toro is every bit as good as it's hyped up to be. The first drop is amazing. The first half of the ride is loaded with strong ejector air time. The last half is very forceful with its tight turns. I would say the air time on El Toro is comparable to air time on Steel Vengeance. It's both forceful and sustained. I do think Skyrush has the overall strongest airtime with its low hills taken at high speeds. Still, El Toro is truly a masterpiece. It did have a little bit of roughness, but is still smoother than most wooden coasters I've been on. I recommend getting a ride on this when it is warmed up. My first ride was immediately after the ride opened. The second ride was right before the park closed and it was a much faster and more intense ride. The difference was significant.

This is the 4th B&M invert I've ridden. As expected, it's a high quality ride. It's probably the least forceful of the B&M inverts I've ridden. However, I loved the unique layout on this one. The front row rides were definitely my favorite, not only for the nice view but also for the more forceful inversions. My favorite elements were the Immelmann loop and the final turns that were low to the ground. Overall, it's a solid ride. It gets bonus points because (1) we pretty much walked right on every time and (2) the operators had to boot some kid who was under 54" and was trying to sneak his way onto the ride by standing on his toes. Raptor is still my favorite among the inverts, and then the others sort of all blend together. Don't forget to carry a big wrench!

I don't understand the hate for this ride. It was a lot of fun. I actually prefer this ride to Valravn. I only experienced the "rattle" in the back row on the end seats. The front and middle rows didn't have this issue. The front row is the best since you can really appreciate the pause before you plummet. I love the variety of inversions. Yes, it's a short ride. However, there was basically no wait so I got to ride this 4 times. It's a solid 4 stars and it helped improved my opinion of dive coasters. They should consider getting Iron Mike Sharpe as their mascot.

This was my 3rd ride on a B&M floorless coaster model. Medusa was my first and Rougarou (previously Mantis) are my others. Overall, I liked Hydra a lot. It wasn't quite as good as Medusa, but it had a lot of unique elements. I wasn't a huge fan of the "Jojo roll". Doing an inversion right out of the station without any speed and forces means that you just hang there for a few seconds with all your body weight transferred to the shoulder restraints. If they wanted a unique inversion, they could have done something like Steel Curtain did with adding a corkscrew to the first drop. Other than that, the rest of the ride was very solid for a multi looping coaster. I had to convince E Rock that it was okay to go on this ride. He was concerned that "The Revenge" part implied that this ride was a sequel and it's never okay to do a sequel before the original. He eventually came around and we got 2 rides on this (1 front and 1 back).

This was very underwhelming even by old wooden coaster standards. E Rock almost fell asleep on this ride. At least it counts as another coaster credit. RMC needs to come in and work their magic on this lame ride.

This was my first ride on an Intamin Impulse coaster. I was not impressed. I rode in both the front and the back. The front was a slightly better experience because you get farther up the twisty side. There just isn't much exciting about this ride. It's more like a flat ride than a rollercoaster. There are much better compact launched coasters nowadays.

I just got to ride this again after only 1 ride a few years back. I appreciate it much more after my recent rides. It's a fun hyper coaster, considering how old it is. The rides in the front of the train were much better due to the better air time on the final bunny hops. The helix at the far end was quite intense, too. I admit that I've gotten a bit spoiled by B&M hyper coasters. However, I found Steel Force a lot more enjoyable than either Magnum or Phantom's Revenge. This coaster needs a different name. People might confuse it with Steel Vengeance, which is the greatest rollercoaster ever created.

TT2 was a very fun coaster. I never rode the original TTD, but I rode Kingda Ka twice. I much prefer the TT2 to Kingda Ka. The modifications make the ride longer and more interesting while sacrificing a single powerful hydraulic launch. I love how you get a free roll back with the first launch. The second launch gives you a crazy face-down view from nearly 400 feet up. The third launch finally gets you over the top hat and down to the end. Overall, it was a lot of fun. My main complaint about TT2 was that it was constantly having problems during my 2 day visit to CP. Even during my wait in line, the ride experienced a roll back, which apparently requires an entire ride reset followed by a number of empty test trains. This added about 20 minutes my already 1 hour long wait. I thought E-Rock was going to beat somebody up because it was taking valuable time away from getting our final Steel Vengeance rides. These constant problems, along with its already low capacity, meant that the wait was always at least 1 hour. We would have gotten more rides on this if there weren't so many issues. Overall, it's a great ride and worth doing at least once. It doesn't quite make it into my top 10, but it's still an excellent ride. I also applaud CP for modifying TTD instead of demolishing it like SFGAdv did with KK.

When I first visited Kennywood in 2023, I was disappointed to find out that Steel Curtain was closed. I finally got back to Kennywood this year and got 2 rides on this coaster. This is an excellent coaster and a great addition to Kennywood. I love how unique the layout is. It has such a variety of elements. In addition to the inversions, it also delivers some air time and hang time. I also love having lap bars so there is no chance of any head banging. The coaster is also very smooth. I really hope to see more S&S coasters in the future.

Raptor is the 3rd B&M inverted coaster I've ridden. I've also been on Batman at SFGAdv and Great Bear. While they are all fun, quality rides, I probably like Raptor the best. I really enjoyed the first drop, cobra roll and helix. Batman is pretty close, but I think Raptor edges it out. There is a little bit of head banging with some of the elements near the end, but nothing too bad. My coaster riding partner "The Real E-Rock" complained about the lift chain noise on this ride. Just ignore him. He is suffering from Steel Vengeance withdrawal.

This is a super fun and unique ride. The launch is super strong, 0-70MPH in 2 seconds! The top hat delivers great air time. The inversions are all very fun. The problem with this ride is that it's too short. The entire ride lasts less than 20 seconds. That's fine if there is a short line for this ride. However, Storm Runner has had a surge in popularity in recent years, resulting in 1 hour or more wait times. I definitely don't want to wait that long for such a short ride. Of course, a longer line would allow me to east some of E-Rock's fast food so he won't regret eating it.

I don't know what the point of this ride is. It's super lame and not even dark inside the building. I once saw a kid in line who was super excited because he was looking forward to getting "skull" on this ride. I'm not sure what he was talking about.

This is not a bad ride for a wooden coaster, but it seems to be really popular for some reason. It always seems to have a long line. I don't get it. Maybe the young kids like it since it's not too intense. The Real E-Rock only gives it 2 stars. He's wrong.

I waited an hour for this piece of junk just to get the rollercoaster credit. It was pretty lousy. The Real E-Rock doesn't like it either, but then again he only likes a ride if he gets physically ejected from the train.

Medusa was the only floorless rollercoaster I had been on until I rode Rougarou. While Medusa is very smooth and loaded with fun inversions like the dive loop and camelback twist, Rougarou is nowhere near as good. Since it used to be a stand up coaster, it has only loops and corkscrews. I was also surprised at how much head banging I experienced during the corkscrews. CP should really look into replacing or modifying this ride.

This was the major attraction at SFGAdv for many years. It was a decent coaster for its time, but definitely not as smooth or interesting as modern looping coasters. While there was a bit of roughness on this ride, I think it's generally over exaggerated. This was nowhere near as rough as a ride like Viper. The trains had a little bit of a rattle and the restraints didn't secure your waist, so you did jostle around a bit. Still, the coaster was pretty fun. Seven loops was a record for its time. One complaint I had about this ride was that 3 of the inversions were regular loops. There could have been a little more variety in the layout. Still, you had to appreciate this ride because of how it helped the park get back on its feet after a few tragic incidents in the 80s.

Jersey Devil coaster is a great ride. It's basically a stand-alone version of an RMC hybrid coaster. The first drop was awesome. The air time hills and inversions were all fantastic as well. I also appreciated the smoothness of the ride. I do have some complaints about the ride, however. Because each car only holds 1 person, the entire train only holds 12 people. Compare this to a typical B&M hyper coaster which holds 32 or 36 riders. Since there was a light crowd the night I went, this wasn't too much of an issue. However, the wait time could be quite long if the queue was mostly full. Also, the loading process is very strange. Rather than the entire train stopping and having all riders exit simultaneously, the train keeps moving slowly through the station as each rider exits a car and a new rider takes their place. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind using this process and it doesn't seem like it's very efficient. Also, foot placement is strange on this one. Since the car straddles the track, you have to put one foot on each side of the track. This is not the most comfortable position and I can understand why some taller people dislike this ride. I didn't have too much a problem with it, but it was definitely noticeable. I still enjoyed this ride a lot. It doesn't quite make my top 10, but is probably in my top 15. I definitely recommend getting some rides on this one.

I'm really not a huge fan of shuttle coasters, because they generally have very poor capacity. This is definitely the case here. Because the ride has 3 separate launches and the layout is fairly long for a shuttle coaster, the line moves very slowly. I was there on a Thursday night with a light crowd and we STILL waited 45 minutes to ride this. Something like a dual track loading station would be a huge help with this one. The ride itself is actually really fun. The 3 separate forward and backward launches were great. The first inversion has a crazy amount of hang time. The layout is very unique and definitely feels much different doing it backwards. I also appreciated the lighting and sound effects. It's definitely worth doing at least once. If you get lucky and happen to catch it with no line, be sure to get multiple rides on it.

I wasn't expecting much when I rode this one. However, I wasn't actually pleasantly surprised. The big drops at each end are actually quite intense, especially when you are facing backwards. It's a crazy feeling to flip backwards and drop straight down. The middle sections weren't too exciting, however. Also, the ride basically repeats the same movements over and over. The only change is in the amount of car rotation. In addition, all of the spinning gave me a little bit of a headache by the end of the ride. Overall, it's a fun ride and worth doing if there is a short line. It's not going to be making many top 10 lists, however.
