Theming Fun Duration Dead spots

This is a good family coaster with a decent theme. Some people say this ride is rough, but if you ride in the right seat (middle row of any car), you will be fine.

This ride is so much rougher than I remembered. My friend and I had to actively dodge bumping heads throughout the ride.

Hey I love this ride the theming the surprising intensity night rides are great as well. Yes it can be a little rough but it doesn't bother me at all it's a must ride every time I'm at kings island

WHAT IS THIS RIDE!!! Adventure Express has the craziest laterals I’ve experienced on any coaster and there’s like 15 moments of them. They’re so abrupt that it feels like you teleport to the other side of the train and they’re so strong and sustained that it feels like you will just rip right through the train. On top of that this ride has an amazing sense of speed and a shocking 5 ejector moments. The restraints are also amazing as they allow for a ridiculous amount of room. On top of all of that the location and theming is awesome as well. Lapping this at night with each ride getting faster and faster was one of the best experiences I’ve had on any coaster. Every turn just felt like death while also being just plain addicting. Overall this coaster is astronomically underrated and I can’t get over how what everyone calls a family coaster ended up being one of the most unhinged coasters I’ve ever experienced. Adventure Express is world class and one of the best coasters I’ve ever ridden.

Theming Fun Dead spots

It's a fun little mine train. The trains themselves are much better than the ones on Carolina Goldrusher at Carowinds and actually have enough room for real people in them. The pacing is a bit weird. Starting directly into the course after the station is nice, but the lift hill directly back into the station at the end is a pretty big dead spot. As with (almost) any Arrow, the transitions are janky and can throw you around some, but I never experienced any pain and it isn't difficult to brace if you want to.

Kings Island's mine train Adventure Express is a ride that has certainly held up for its time. Opening over 30 years ago, the ride still tracks well. Whether it be a testament to Kings Island's care for their rides, or just simply fine aging, the ride still is fun to ride today. Unfortunately, that is certainly not to say that the layout for this ride is smooth. While it may track well, the layout for the ride features a plethora of the janky turns and track profiling that Arrow Dynamics was and still is known for. In my opinion, I do enjoy some of the jank from the old Arrow Dynamics creations, and this ride is no exception. I do believe that it adds to the wildness of the ride, albeit, it does make the experience less comfortable. Another point to mention is how the ride uses its speed. The coaster uses the surrounding terrain to its advantage, leading to a better sense of speed throughout. Overall, the pacing throughout the experience is nothing short of great, except for one major complaint: the ending. There may have not been many other options to reach the top of the hill again, but having a drawn-out lift hill leading straight into the station is a very anti-climactic ending to a fun ride. Thankfully, the ride recently underwent an overhaul, resulting in a significant upgrade in theming for the ride, with engaging props and even animatronics throughout. For what this ride is meant to do, I do find myself enjoying this ride more than I should have, as it is a mildly thrilling mine train that feels out-of-control and features great theming.

This was hands down the best Arrow mine train I’ve been on because the theming was really great and the ride wasn’t as spectacularly painful as usual. It was still much too rough but it might deserve a re-ride.

A lot of people say this ride is too rough, but I personally think it adds to the experience. Luckily I have ridden so many times that I know where the bumps are, and I can plan for them accordingly. I love this ride!!!

This easily my favorite mine train with some fast and lateral filled downhill turns and cool terrain usage. The ending lift hill is weird but cool and the ride is overall fun.

The best mine ride out there! Obviously nothing crazy, but it's a fun ride, and worth taking the time to ride on a visit to King's Island.

This ride is comedically good. The ending is so stupid that it makes me laugh every time, the theming is actually quite good for a Cedar Fair park, and despite being a bit janky the trains are very comfortable and do a good job of negating most of the roughness. One of my favorite mine trains easily.

This was my first “real” roller coaster after Scooby Zoom and the Beastie, so there’s that.

It's a little janky, but that's to be expected of an Arrow Mine Train. The theming on this thing is really fun, and elevates it past most mine trains. The layout itself isn't special, but the theming makes it an experience worth doing.

Pretty typical arrow mine train, with janky transitions and weirdly well themed lift hill at the end. Not a terrible ride for its intended audience but pacing completely off.

This is my favorite arrow mine train I’ve ridden. It has some decent laterals and is fun. Plus that lift hill at the end is just funny

This was my first larger coaster so it has some significance to me. The ride has fun laterals and fun theming and is quite a long ride, but other than that, this ride is rough and a little uncomfortable. Still enjoy a ride on it from time to time.

Kick-ass mine train with great location but ending lift hill is a crazy buzzkill! Still a pretty good ride none the less. 7.5/10

Theming Fun Discomfort

Adventure Express although very uncomfortable at times is a very solid ride. Lots of good turns, tunnels, and hints of airtime here and there. The best part is hands down the end chain-lift but it is the most disappointing thing ever though since you think its going to be this huge crazy track section with all this build up but no the ride end right at the chain-lift. But once again this ride is a fun family ride and is a ride you should try when you visit Kings Island.

Adventure Express is a pretty good Arrow Mine Train. My 4th favorite overall. I found the ride to be pretty average Amun’s other Mine trains because of its shorter length and it didn’t seem to do so much throughout the layout. The lift hill at the end is cool with the theming I just wish the ride did more.

Tear it down! Pointless Lap Bar

I loathe mine trains, and this ride is why. Lap bar and exposure to nail in seat I was in caused my leg to bleed. Rickroll this thing outta the park; it knows the rules, and so do I.
