When people say it’s exactly how it was when it first opened, that’s a double edged sword. The layout is quite fun and the turns through the dark are enjoyable, but so much light leaks in it’s pathetic. The first turn overlooking the pathway through the rocks is quite nice, though. Front facing theming does not hold up with the ride within.

Its a small ride in a box. Not intense at all but relatively smooth. They do a terrible job at blocking the light from coming inside so you can see the track. Does not go fast and has basically zero forces. Might be a good coaster for kids since it is calmer. Does not have terrible capacity although this is helped that it is not very popular. Is not unique or interesting however it is not painful.

I hated this ride. The operator was taking very long to load out cars, and when I finally got on, it was very disappointing. It was sunny outside, and when we reached the inside of the "Mountain", you could see everything. So I was on this family coaster, in a semi dark room with no indoor theming. I wouldn't go on this unless you want a credit, or you have a small child who might enjoy.

This thing looks so cool over the midway, however the skull is still missing its jaw and the show building is really obvious. Sadly the actual ride doesn’t carry that same level of ambience as it’s literally a family coaster in a box. But what makes this the best family coaster in the park for me is the back row. Sit in the back and you’ll get legitimate airtime on the drop. There’s also a transition that will give decent airtime as well, but the drop steals the show.

Skull Mountain is a rather intense family coaster located entirely indoors in the dark. The theming for this ride is above and beyond for Six Flags: it’s in a cavern with a rock skull formed in the top of it. The queue feels like you’re in the caves of a mountain. The first drop, especially in the back, is crazy forceful and will make your stomach drop. There are slow spots and some turns that cause a bit of whiplash, but a solid time all in all.

Un peu caché dans le parc, le crâne surgit en nous laissant nous questionner sur "est-ce que je suis déjà passé par ici" ? Son entrée est légèrement dissimulée si bien que pour les non-chasseurs de crédits, on passerait à côté ! Le parcours en lui-même est assez oubliable totalement borniolé créant un espace dans le noir où s'engouffre le train dans ce qui devait être alors un repaire de pirates de l'époque ?

This ride has pretty cute theming in the queue and outdoors, especially for a Six Flags park. It might be a hot take, but the first drop on this ride is the second best in the park. There's an absurd yank in the back row that is honestly comparable to some of the best drops out there. Granted, it's incredibly short so that airtime doesn't last very long. The rest of the layout isn't anything special, and just a bunch of family coaster meandering. It's worth a ride if the wait is like 20 minutes or less. 6/10 - why do they play Mr. Saxobeat in there

Un family coaster situé à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment avec un énorme crâne. La théma de la file d'attente est plus poussée que dans les autres attractions, on se situe dans une grotte où on passe derrière la cascade de l'entée. Cependant, une fois montée à bord et que le train monte le lift, on se retrouve dans le bâtiment sans aucune théma, juste les supports, le toit et les murs en métal. Il y a quelques lumières et un squelette mais c'est tout. Egalement la 1re descente est assez marrante lorsqu'on est assis au dernier rang, mais le reste est très mou. A faire pour le crédit ou si seulement vous avez le temps

This ride has a fantastic location within the park and looks like it could have something special going on from the outside lookin in. Alas, it does not. I also found it really uncomfortable as my knees were bashed the entire ride. Granted, I have fairly long legs at 6'3". There were some little ones screaming/enjoying it - which is why I didn't give it a "Tear it down" con. Someone enjoys it...it just wasn't me. Feels like the real-estate and space could be leveraged to create something much more interesting.

Skull Mountain, for an indoor family coaster, delivers some forces and has a really fun first drop into total darkness which actually feels great. The outside of the building is also very well themed. However, the lap bar restraint was very uncomfortable, riding more into my stomach than my thighs (and I'm a thin dude), the indoor is almost entirely unthemed, and after your eyes adjust to the low light, the coaster is pretty mediocre. It's a junior coaster, so can't expect much, but it should at least be comfortable.

There was surprisingly a decent amount of positives in the first half, but the second half was just meandering and me yelling at a person who had there phone out (It was on the boring part but still no phones on rides).

As for the ride experience, it's a nice layout and is fairly smooth. There's also a good moment of ejector airtime towards the end of the ride if you sit in the back. Nice family coaster. Absolutely would recommend.

I’ve been aware of this coaster’s cult-like status, but I’d never seen a POV before, so I went into Skull Mountain blind. It’s a pretty enjoyable, smooth family coaster with that uncharacteristically steep and intense first drop. All in all, I enjoyed Skull Mountain for what it is.

I compare it to the screwed up pancakes I made for breakfast and overdid on the baking soda so it turned into a lump of tan styrofoam. This coaster would be so much better with theming. Heck, outdoors? That would be better. It's overrated, this ride is and it wasn't worth my time. At least it was a decent family coaster.

It's not even dark on the inside because they have lights around the interior walls, so you can definitely see where you are going. I was expecting a little more out of this coaster, but its fine for a family ride.

The ride has a solid layout but it is so wicked short. Its definitely a ride that you should ride with the family but it would be better if it was longer and had more on ride theming.

A decent indoor coaster, not a lot of effort to theming but I prefer a good ride over good theme. The turns are fun but I think the main focus is the ejector you get in the back car. You get whipped on that first drop. The rest of the ride is nothing special, and it's pretty bumpy. I prefer The Dark Knight Coaster because it is longer and the exit doesn't contradict to the dark theme.
