Inversions Fun Hangtime Headbanging Discomfort
some of the best hangtime i’ve had on an arrow coaster. on those corkscrews. the breaks after the first loop cause you to take them very slow, so you get some great hangtime on it. there is a shit ton of head banging on this though, even for an arrow looper, and because of that, i enjoy it way less than i should

Theming Headbanging Tear it down!
Rode this in June this year and not only was this rough I literally felt like I was bouncing on the two vertical loops. The tunnel with the lights was the only cool thing about Demon

First Drop Theming Hangtime Headbanging Discomfort
It maybe not be the most comfortable coaster at the park or the smoothest but it's still fun if you're willing to take it on. Theming is still nice even without the rocks and blood water, plus the first drop is a top 3 drops in the park.

First Drop Theming Fun Headbanging Discomfort
Solid Arrow looper! The corkscrews are the only uncomfortable part of the ride, but the great theming makes up for it.

I havent ridden in years (review for credit on ride) But it used to be my all time favorite as a youngin. Definitely a bit rough, but i loved the corkscrew.

Theming Inversions Headbanging
The first drop was a surprise the theming is on point some call it a classic I call it just ok the double corkscrew reminded me of corkscrew at cedar point and that ride is thankfully being torn down. Loops were ok I was uncomfortable during the whole ride but I have ridden worse before.

Airtimes First Drop Nice surprise! Rattle
I was definitely surprised with this coaster. The theming is a nice touch and the first drop pulls surprising airtime - especially in the back row. The loops do not hurt as much as many other arrow loopers and the corkscrew is taken surprisingly quick offering good g's and a little hangtime. One of my favorite Arrow loopers

Theming Headbanging Tear it down! Pointless
Tear this painstaking monstrosity down immediately or I might have to do it for you.
-
Theming Headbanging
Definitely the better demon of the two. Theming was great. Still not the smoothest experience.

Inversions Fun Smoothness Rattle Reliability
A true classic, that’s for sure. The park unfortunately tore down the rocks around the loops, but it was apparently just a safety problem. The ride itself is great. The tunnel you go into when you start riding is cool and the loops are okay. The second tunnel is more of the same but still cool and the rock work before the double corkscrew is really amazing. The double corkscrew is the best park of the ride, as to be expected. The first drop is surprising in the back row. I would definitely recommend this if it has a low line, which it almost always has. I was able to get a ride in the front and back back-to-back with no wait. The front is okay but you do get to take in the scenery. The back is where it’s at though! Sure, the ride’s a little bumpy but this Arrow is remarkably smooth so it isn’t too much of an issue. In the back, the first drop is wilder, the corkscrews are cooler, and everything is just better. Overall, a great ride for coaster enthusiasts and newcomers alike! 5/5!

One of the OG Arrow Dynamics looping coasters. a.k.a. Turn of the Century

Headbanging Inversions Dead spots
ow, this one was not fun, the loops were the only good bit, the rest, especially the double corkscrew were just painfull. not whorth the time.

Theming Inversions Headbanging Harness
Theming is amazing, loops are good, and of course the corkscrews suck because it's arrow.
-
Theming Inversions Fun
Solid ride. I love this thing. The entry into the first corkscrew is a little uncomfortable but thats the only problem i have with this ride.

Theming Location Headbanging
I feel like the theming on this one is fantastic. They introduced their own song when it first opened and continue to play it in the queue line today. It also contains great rock structures and lighting through tunnels showing they put a lot of effort into making it an overall great experience. The first half is way better than the second half. After the lift hill, you turn into an actually decent drop with airtime in the back. You are then hit with a couple of loops that aren't exactly back to back but still give you great sensation. After you crest the hill you get to the part where it's essential to keep your head back. Even if you're very careful I still felt a lot of headbanging with the double corkscrew. I don't believe Arrow ever got the corkscrew correct without discomfort but later models don't hurt as much as this one. The location right in the middle of the park is fantastic too and gives you plenty of options for the next ride. 3/5 stars

Theming Rattle Headbanging Tear it down!
Theming is very good. That's it. There is nothing else good with this painful ride. Don't ride this.
-
Theming Headbanging Harness Discomfort
As much as I enjoy the theming, the headbanging on the corkscrews is very uncomfortable. However, I know that there are arrows worse than this. But I am kinda biased for this one. This was my first ever looping coaster I was tall enough for

Theming Layout Headbanging Harness Tear it down!
Absolutely phenomenal theming & layout for Demon. That's it. That's the only thing this ride offers. You should admire it from far away & stop there. It genuinely HURTS. No wonder there's absolutely zero line & the trains usually leave with 2 or 3 people on them. Absolutely skip this if you don't want to have a headache for the rest of the day. Thankfully went on it last so the headache wasn't that big of a problem...

Inversions Headbanging
A classic ride, I've avoided it for years now, but it's probably time I tried it again. Bumpiness is a huge con, but the loops are still so much fun.
-
Theming Headbanging Dead spots Layout
A really well themed old style arrow but the layout more to desire with alot of empty spots and reliance on repeats of loops

First Drop Inversions Nice surprise! Headbanging Dead spots
Over the years I have had many opinions on Demon, when I first rode Demon I was younger and I loved it. Slowly I grew taller and Demon caused me more and more pain. One time I rode Demon 4 times in one day and what followed was a terrible headache that ruined the rest of the day from that point on I swore off ever riding it again. This would follow through until recently when I decided to give it a shot and I must say I either caught it on a really good day or I had really poor judgment because it was the biggest surprise of the day and it shot up in my rankings (it still isn't very high as it is just an Arrow corkscrew just with 2 added loops). Now to begin the review let's start with the pros. The first pro is definitely the initial drop which gives some of the jankiest ejector airtime I have ever had (I haven't ridden many Arrow Dynamics casters and I am riding Magnum in under 2 weeks so). The next notable pro is its 4 inversions which are all pretty good and not too bumpy. despite these two good pros, Demon has just as many cons the first of which is its two dead spots which are, the first turnaround before the corkscrew and the turnaround before the brake run. These are both rather slow and take the pacing down a lot. The other con is the headbanging which is most prominent in the ride's double corkscrew, now my last 2 rides on Demon I got no headbanging but I did ride defensively so that is probably why.

First Drop Inversions Intensity Rattle
Demon is in my opinion the best Arrow I've ridden. Sure it's rough, but I honestly don't care (I ride defensively anyway). Do not skip! Number 5 at Great America for me.
-
I still like and appreciate these old, classic loopers. The thing I like best about Demon is actually from the walkway parallel to the loop. Just watching the train bend over backwards in a seemingly too tight to fight radius loop is rather impressive. It almost seems like the riders at the front and the back of the train could reach up and give each other high fives as the front exits and the back enters. The tunnel at the beginning is...interesting. The first half is decent, not too much banging. The one spot that is really a killer is the transition into the first corkscrew--it really throws you sideways into your restraints. After that it is decent again. Again, I still enjoy these type of coasters as they still deliver a decent ride. This one is pretty standard, middle of the pack. It is no where near the best or the worst of the genre.

Theming Headbanging Dead spots Layout
The demon was my first looping coaster when I was 12. It's fun because of how old it is, and the theming. I love the rock formations around the loops, and the light up tunnel. The corkscrews feel like they're gonna kill me tho.
-
Theming Harness Discomfort Tear it down!
OUCH. I thought this might have been a better decision than some of the other Arrow/Vekoma loopers, but I was wrong. I got the credit, and I paid for it. It does have some decent theming, especially for a Six Flags coaster, but the restraints killed my shoulders, chest, and neck.
-
Inversions Headbanging Harness Airtimes
It was fun as a kid because you don't mind the discomfort as much...can't ride it anymore because of the headbanging, but thanks for the memories Demon!
