Fun Smoothness Duration Intensity
Great ride. Was able to ride 4-5 times without leaving the cart due to empty ride queue. Airtime is great. Restraints are spooky, you feel like you're going to fly out. Very nice + long coaster. The spiral near the end of the ride is very intense, however. Ridiculous amount of force, blacked out every time I went through it. Lift hill takes a long time to climb + is very loud but that's just a side note. Overall great coaster.

Airtimes Fun Smoothness
The Six Flags website said that this ride was temporarily closed, so I was shocked and thrilled to see this actually running and get rides when I visited. This is in stark contrast to how Maverick was closed all three days when I visited Cedar Point, yet the website said nothing. Life lesson folks: under-promise and over-deliver. But I digress. Nitro is a great coaster with some fun elements that I haven’t experienced on other similar models. Infinitely re-rideable.

Capacity Comfort Smoothness Disappointing! Pointless Airtimes
This coaster pulls absolutely zero force and feels like it will valley on most of the hills. However it’s a very smooth and comfortable ride so it’s a great monorail. Overall one of the most overrated and boring coasters I’ve ridden.

Airtimes Comfort Fun Dead spots
Nitro is one of the better hyper coasters out there in my opinion. While the airtime on some of the hills may be weak, the large camelbacks in the first half of the experience give some nice and sustained floater airtime. I also really like the helix before the midcourse block section, because you gray out as the train is navigating through the upward spiral helix. That moment also pulls strong positive G-forces. While it may not be the best hyper coaster, Nitro is a really enjoyable ride and is one of the most popular rides at Six Flags Great Adventure.

Comfort Smoothness Disappointing!
This was a pleasant ride, but I got only minor thrills from it.

Location Comfort Duration
One of the best B&M's. Some people say it's forceless, which makes zero sense. The ride has significant floater airtime and laterals. Nitro is signifantly better than Mako, which is praised as one of the best B&M's. Plus the layout above and throughout the trees is tremendous.

Airtimes Comfort Duration
I expected Nitro to be weaker based on opinions I’d heard, but in reality, it far exceeded my expectations. I rode twice in the morning, and came back to re-ride later in the day. The first half is pretty standard (but well-done) for a B&M hyper - first few hills providing graceful, sustained floater with an average turnaround - but Nitro’s second half elevates it above the competition for me. That helix into the MCBR is somehow VERY forceful (I’d liken it to a smaller version of Titan’s infamous helix), and the 4-5 airtime moments after that MCBR all deliver sustained floajector/ejector air. The clamshell restraints without seatbelts and the pleasant, forested setting were also a plus. It's my 2nd favorite coaster at Great Adventure, only behind El Toro.

Airtimes Fun Layout Rattle
Easily one of the most overhated hypers out there, a mid tier B&M hyper. I've gotten some phenomenal rides on this.
-
Airtimes First Drop Layout
A phenomenal B&M hyper with some of the best floater airtime I've experienced. The layout and pacing are also great. A definite must ride at Great Adventure.

It is my personal favorite rollercoaster as of April 2020! —Mathew’s Coaster Vids

Airtimes Capacity Comfort
This coaster is underrated. Ride Nitro on a good day and I swear you get three seconds of strong floater on every single camelback. The stats are great, and the ride has great dispatch times, even if it has a 90 minute wait. The B&M Clamshells are SO COMFORTABLE!! They rest smoothly on your thighs and they let you maximize your awesome airtime. Ride Nitro every time you come to Great Adventure.

First Drop Fun Duration Rattle
It's the worst B&M hyper I've ridden for sure, but it's still a really fun ride, despite what Millennium Force Man says.
-
Airtimes Location Layout
One of the best layouts for a B&M hyper. Very good amount of airtime spread out. Intense helix and whippy turns spread out the camelbacks. Fantastic drop and finale.

First Drop Lap Bar Smoothness Airtimes
Great B&M Hyper Coaster. Nitro's view is amazing as you get a great view of the park. The drop is also great because of the Lap Bar which gives you a good amount of freedom. The only thing that does disappoint me is that there is not as much airtime as expected in a B&M Hyper. But overall Nitro is smooth and they have solid dispatch time. And is definitely a must do coaster when you visit SixFlags Great Adventure.

Lap Bar Fun Pointless Airtimes Intensity
Not gonna lie, this ride is kinda mediocre. No air, no forces, and just an eh ride overall.

Lap Bar Fun Intensity Airtimes
This was my first B&M Hyper, and it was about what I expected. After riding El Toro a couple times, the airtime did feel weak, but the floater was still fun. My favorite parts were the intense helix before the MCBR and then the bunny hills leading towards the end which also had good airtime. I feel like I would enjoy this more if there was more airtime on the big hills, so I'm hoping I will get better rides in the future on Nitro. I also must note that I absolutely love the restraints. This is my first time with these clamshell lap bars, and they are extremely comfortable and provide an open-air experience.

Airtimes Nice surprise! Harness
If one more person rates this coaster with just 1 star i'm going to kill myself on live t.v.

Stupid or liar? Anyone that says there is no airtime is stupid or lying. Ive ridden 5 B&M hypers and this one is easily sitting in 2nd overall. Great location, strong floater, quick ops, killer helix, cool drop turns. Needs paint.

Airtimes First Drop Capacity
Nitro is arguably the best B&M hyper coaster. The floater airtime is great, the first drop is awesome, and the helix is intense. My only issue is that the train rumbles slightly in some parts. The layout is also perfect.

Airtimes First Drop Layout
Incredible B&M Hyper that's probably the best out of all the hypers I've been on, even managing to come close to some of the gigas that I've ridden. The layout on this thing is just so cool which, combined with the trademark insane floater that all the B&M Hypers have, makes this one of the most memorable rides I've ridden. The hammerhead turn, the helix, and all the airtime hills are just an absolute blast. This one is worth re-ride after re-ride, which you'll probably be able to get with how lightning quick the ops are on this thing.

Lap Bar Pace Smoothness
The speed of this ride could have given more forceful airtime, but it was still quite fun.

Airtimes Smoothness Ejectors
9.4 out of 10. to be an older one, great hang time and fast. smooth and easy, you are out of your seat a lot.

Airtimes First Drop Comfort
I was expecting El Toro to be my favourite ride at the park but this blew it away! It was silky smooth and I got airtime of every hill. B&M hypers may not always be the most intense but in the back row the helix and turns were fast and intense, all while being exceptionally smooth.

Airtimes Harness Smoothness Dead spots
Nitro isn't the most forceful hyper going, a disadvantage when you've been on the incredible Superman at SFNE just a few days before. It's a superbly engineered B&M, but lacks features to stand out as an excellent ride. A shout out does go to the hybrid airtime hill/turn near the beginning, which does a clever combo of ejector and sideways-orientation at the same time that I've not experienced anywhere else.
-
Airtimes Ejectors
Silky smooth, amazing airtime and a crazy intense helix in the middle.

Airtimes Location Pace
I've found that Nitro is a perfect hyper coaster. It's one of only two B&M hypers in the US to not only feature a forceful helix, but also maintain its strength in airtime throughout the entire ride. The first drop is enormous and fun. The first turnaround gives airtime in the front. The two camelbacks give great floater. The hammerhead is surprisingly forceful. The turning airtime hill gives some surprising ejector air. The helix is suppressingly forceful and long. There is ejector airtime into and dropping off of the midcourse. And the three hills on the return trip give great airtime. It's perfectly paced, is thrilling beginning to end, is forceful in both positive and negative forces with some surprise ejector, has an awesome color scheme, and has a great location out of the way from the rest of the park in the forest. A phenomenal coaster that makes it worth to visit SFGAdv by itself.

Airtimes Fun Harness Theming
Nitro i would consider a pretty solid hyper. It's got tons of floater air and it's really smooth as well. It may get overshadowed by it's godly wooden neighbor but Nitro certainly is a fun ride. The drop is pretty good, more air on it than Apollo or SFMM Goliath. Then you go through these massive floater hills which are tons of fun. The hammerhead turn is pretty interesting as well and gets some decent force. More hills and then the Helix. Now this helix is intense. I was shocked by it. After this, there's more of these bunny hills and then you go into the brakes. Overall, Nitro is pretty damn good. Maybe it needs a little more vareity in it's layout but it does everything else pretty well. Give this awesome B&M a whirl.

Fun Harness Smoothness Dead spots
A fun B&M hyper with some good floater air and an intense mid-course helix. The rest of the layout lacks stronger G forces however.
