Lap Bar Disappointing! Pointless
I have quite fond memories of when this ride was known as X. It's a much smaller coaster than others in the park but the theming when it was X was really interesting, and the ride itself had a cool feel to it. As The Walking Dead however, the theming feels a little flat. The entrance to the ride now has a large cattle pen outside with nothing really happening, you then enter a room where a slightly cringey video plays and then walk through some more corridors with absolutely nothing happening (besides struggling to see where you're actually going) and then you arrive at a station where you're obviously supposed to feel some urgency but the atmosphere just feels a little lacking. The ride itself is decent, I'm a fan of dark rides so that's a plus for this, however I feel the ride itself was much better as X. Overall it was a bit disappointing as The Walking Dead, which is a shame as I felt X was a decent little ride. Big step backwards for me, personally.

Fun Smoothness Ejectors Theming Lap Bar
I hate what Thorpe did to X. The whole walking dead theme is completely inappropriate for this ride. Whilst the corridors on entry and exit are atmospheric, as is the preshow, it's actually rather annoying that you have to walk such a long way to the ride, after having queued already. And on the ride itself, it's like riding through Poundland at Halloween, lots of very poor zombie statues and effects that are unreliable. Personified by the caged zombies that fall forwards at a snails pace on the brake run. The day they bin it all off and revert it back to the disco coaster will be a great one. Because the actual ride is great fun. Very snappy turns, good lateral force, decent feeling of speed with it being indoors too. And on the back row, there's one moment of violent ejector airtime that really catches you off guard, really whippy and very enjoyable. I can but hope that they do the right thing soon, and bring back the party vibes. It seems to be the in thing at the resort currently!

Theming Nice surprise! Fun
People will think I'm crazy, but this is one of my favourite rides at Thorpe Park. The theming is really fun, and the addition of live actors is incredible. I'm terrified of the dark, so maybe that's why I loved this ride so much and found it scary, but it's just an incredible fun ride to do after doing loads of thrill rides

I love The Walking Dead but this ride was a big disappointment. It's almost as if the people designing it have never seen the TV show. British voices, instead of well-known characters, car horns honking when there are no almost cars in the show. My list could go on and on.

Theming Fun Dead spots Layout
A really immersive ride experience. The ride is themed very well but the ride itself isn’t that great. It’s just a family coaster. But the part where you have to escape the canteen after it got overran is great as there is scare actors in there. The pace of the coaster is very good but a little underbanked.

Fine, nothing really good about it, but nothing bad. exists as a step up from Flying Fish, but is themed to zombies so kinda dumb on Thorpe's End.

Theming Disappointing! Pointless
Horror themed rides are supposed to create suspense, right? Then why do I feel absolutely nothing from start to finish. Between the pre show and the station is a completely blank walkway where NOTHING happens, which used to be a fantastic queue for X which was infinitely better and more immersive than this. All of the queue was moved into an outdoor cattle pen which is ugly. In the station you're clearly supposed to be feeling some sort of fear but I just don't really... get it. They took every aspect that made X good, removed them, and created this. What a downgrade. The fact that this replaced X, which was genuinely fantastic, just doesn't sit right with me. Decent layout though.

Theming Capacity
what a fucking embarrassment of a ride. It has a reasonable layout but also an abhorrent theme, obviously very cheap, constantly broken effects, a ride from thorpe at it's worst that was designed by a fuckwit who doesn't know what "tension and release" is.

Theming
It is a decent ride, but with that said it is a family coaster. Even with the Walking Dead theme. It's just really okay.

Theming Comfort Fun
It’s a fun coaster with some good theming. Although it’s not very re-rideable, I still enjoy it. I do prefer the original (X) though.
-
Theming Capacity Discomfort
An improvement on X - the new Walking Dead theming makes the ride a lot more interesting. The trains aren't the most comfortable - on several drops you're thrown into the sides of the car, but it's nice to see the return of some of the lift hill effects from the original X:\No Way Out ride. They could do a lot more with the winding entrance and exit paths, and the 2-per-row rule makes loading a lot more convoluted than it needs to be.

Pointless
The only thing that made this ride interesting is the pitch black. I don't think the theme was particularly well done. I would have preferred it as a nightclub coaster like it was before.
