Twisted Timbers is an airtime masterpiece. It’s extremely out of control, and almost every airtime moment hits. The best moments are the barrel roll drop and the triple camel back hills. My only complaint is that operations can be pretty terrible, and they seem to like running only one train for some reason.

This was my first-ever RMC and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Most of the first drop is a 0g roll, which is pretty insane. That along with the other inversions provide great hangtime. Other than that, it is mostly a bunch of airtime hills that provide some of the most wonderfully, amazingly violent ejector airtime I have ever experienced. All of the elements are taken extremely fast and the intensity never lets up from the first drop all the way to the brake run. The entire layout is immaculately smooth as well, both in the macro (transitions) sense and micro (no rattle) sense. I only have 2 complaints. The first is that the shin pads on the lap bar are uncomfortable, bordering on painful, due to my very long legs. This happens on just about any restraint that uses shin pads. My other is the lift hill. The anti-rollback system is so noisy, especially as the train speeds up over the top, that it gave me a headache. I wish RMC could have used a silent anti-rollback system like what is becoming increasingly common these days.

DISCLAIMER: I want this rating to go up (yes, I know I'm giving it a 4.5 star). I recognize why people see this as a top-tier RMC, and I think it has the potential to get there for me, too. However, as it stands currently, I think this ride is a little overrated. When I rode this ride last year, it was my first RMC, so I had a lot of expectations kind of heaped on this ride. I went in expecting this coaster to potentially end up in my top 3 (with an outside chance at being my #1 over Velocicoaster and Fury 325 at the time) and hoped it would be the #1 in the park (definitely would take I-305 over this). This probably wasn't fair, given the type of ride this is. It is a smaller-scale RMC, but it has tons of power. I really enjoyed (some) of the airtime and pace. The barrel roll down drop is a solid inversion and the outward bank and three ejector camelbacks are awesome. However, I found the lap bar to be pretty painful on some ejector moments, and there are a lot of ejector moments on this ride. In all fairness, I rode this in March of 2024, and both rides were close to the front, where I tend to feel a little more pain on ejector pops on RMCs. I definitely want to get more rides, especially closer to the back of the car and during the summer. As it stands, it's slightly overrated in my book, but I still really enjoyed it. Definitely worth coming here for this ride and I-305.

Twisted Timbers is just a great ride. The triple back to back to back hills are absolute ejector heaven and the first drop is not only unique but awesome. Even the zero-g roll near the end of the ride manages to float you out of your seat. The airtime doesn’t even get repetitive, I’m trying to think of a con but I just don’t have one because this ride is so hard not to love.

If you're looking for airtime and basically only airtime, here you go. Anything that's not some sort of airtime hill on this ride is not that strong, but when those moments hit, they HIT. The triple camelback is a great moment, which some off-axis hills thrown in there to spice things up. Between this and I305, Kings Dominion boasts one of the best 1-2 Punches out there. My 150th coaster is one that entered my top 10 when I rode it and is still there 3.5 years later.

Mention spéciale à la First Drop façon Death Drop qui à chaud est excellente avec du très bon basculement. Une petite bombe d'énergie ce petit Twisted Timbers !

Encore une bombe atomique de chez RMC, un layout légèrement moins bien construit qu'Untamed dans le sens où niveau inversion, variation et rythme, le coaster de Walibi Holland est au dessus. En revanche, les éjectors sont beaucoup plus nombreux et plus puissant. Le début de folie avec ses 3 longues bosses éjectantes me suffit à préférer le coaster de Kings Dominion. C'est typiquement le genre d'enchainement qui me penser que si on met un RMC avec une série de bosses toutes droites en ligne droite, un virage puis la même chose au retour simple efficace c'est top 1. Globalement les enchainements d'éjectors sont plus rapides et plus incontrôlables en plus d'être plus puissants et pour un bon gros débile comme moi c'est juste parfait. Bref, chef d'œuvre intersidéral. Ce genre de dinguerie c'est dans mon top 10-15 pour la vie. Pour moi, Kings Dominion possède le meilleur one-two punch de la planète.

I only rode this ride twice, mostly because I was spam-riding I305, but I spent twice as much time waiting for the ride to start than I was actually on the ride. We were waiting for the train to start moving for a full 5 minutes one time, and 3 minutes for another. This is not the coaster's fault, however, and it deserves a 10/10.

Beaucoup de gens critiquent la lap bar, et je peux concevoir qu’elle peut être gênante mais ce n’est pas mon cas. Bref un chef d’œuvre à faire absolument sans retenue

Untamed mais avec moins de variété mais beaucoup plus d'airtime. Voici Twisted Timbers ! Comme pour un Untamed, des airtimes et des suites d'ejector incroyable notamment le 1er avec ces 3 bosses d'une puissance parfaite et d'une superbe longueur. La suite du layout est axé comme untamed sur des suites de petites bosses très puissantes et d'une inversion rigolotes. Je préfère la version Néerlandaises pour son côté plus varié avec des variations dans les éléments mais twisted timbers proposes des airtimes majoritairement meilleurs.

This coaster gets better with every ride. The barrel roll drop is such a unique experience and really sets the pace for the rest of the layout. It also has an incredible second half that really keeps up the pace of the first...as most have stated the twisted 2nd half camelbacks are just plain fun with the combination of airtime and torsion. I never ride this coaster just once, we always get back in line and ride it again! Rode it front row for the first time and it was pure joy and smooth like butter. An absolute must ride when you get the chance to go to KD. Come for p305, stay for TT.

I really like this one. The first drop starting off with the inversion is an awesome twist and great in the backrows. Furthermore, the airtimes are pure fun and despite a bit of bunny hop antics (I don't like them too much usually) the ride doesn't buck you into the restraint aggressively (unlike Wildcat's Revenge for example). The track could feature one or two more inversions in my opinion but that's just nitpicking. All in all, this is an awesome RMC and a second great attraction behind the 305 (or however they'll rename it).

Twisted Timbers is probably the best ride in the world for pure ejector. Practically every element is profiled flawlessly to provide incredible moments of airtime, especially that iconic triple camelback. There isn't much else going on in this layout, however. Aside from a few funky laterals and great hangtime in the front row of the first drop, this ride is just airtime after airtime after airtime. But that airtime is exceptional, so I can't complain. This ride being in the same park as the best ride in the world for positive Gs is a truly insane one-two punch. 10/10 - literally what is that big ping pong ball in queue

What an incredible ride! I'm sad this one gets overshadowed by Project 305 because this could be the best coaster in most other parks. I rode this once in the front as my first ride but then after trying the back row I stuck to that one instead and marathoned it. The first drop with the twist is so much better in the back row. The front row provides insane ejector off the first set of hills but it's almost better to experience them in the back since this coaster has sped up compared to earlier years. It ran super fast all day so the front doesn't provide anything better except a clearer view during the ride. The inversions were pretty good but it's probably the weak point of the coaster and doesn't match up to the other ones I've ridden. I prefer airtime over inversions, so I did not care that the inversions were low to the ground and nothing special. Don't skip this coaster because I could not get enough rides on it! 5/5 stars

I feel like this is one of the fastest-paced RMCs out there. Every time I've gotten on it it feels so so fast over every airtime hill. I love the barrel roll drop to start the ride and the three straight camelbacks all deliver. The second half is full of fun airtime moments and some nice whippiness.

I felt like Goldilocks on this RMC. Twisted Cyclone was too short, Steel Vengeance was too long (and intense), Twisted Timbers was just the right length. The first hill is pretty special and the third...

I felt like Goldilocks on this RMC. Twisted Cyclone was too short, Steel Vengeance was too long (and intense), Twisted Timbers was just the right length. The first hill is pretty special and the third row of hills came after I thought we were going to slow into the station...a nice surprise and what really separated this from Twisted Cyclone for me. A very repeatable ride...we hit it a few times. Back was better than front - but both are a blast.

One of my top 3 coasters of all time! Certainly my #1 when I first rode it two years ago. Best airtime ever! Twisted Timbers, in my opinion, is the better version of Steel Vengeance. More reliable, less downtime, shorter wait times, and you don't feel like you're going to be thrown off the ride every two seconds :P The curved bunny hills at the end are some of my favorites. The first drop also can't be beat, for thrill factor. The chain lift is wonderfully clacky and loud, and the whole thing feels very sturdy. Of course the worst part about the ride was the wait! But once you're on the ride, you feel like you're flying. I hope I get many more chances to visit!

So much of an improvement compared to Hurler. Great inversions, including the amazing barrel roll downdrop. The 3 consecutive camelbacks provide some of the strongest airtime, and the whole ride includes many quick pops of ejector. It's one of the better RMCs, and it fulfilled my wishes of an RMC of Hurler.
