Ravine Flyer II pretty much is the reason why a lot of people go to Waldameer. The park was fun and really enjoyable but the main incentive to go is still this coaster. It was especially so for me because Steel Dragon 2000 was closed. Fortunately, this ride hardly had a wait so we were able to ride it multiple times. The ride’s seatbelts can definitely be tightened a lot so if you like that then it’s good, but I found that just tightening not too much still gets the job done but also allows you to enjoy this ride’s airtime thanks to the PTC lap bars. Once you’re on the ride, enjoy the view of Lake Erie. It’s a beautiful view and a great aspect to the ride. First drop is great in the back, but I prefer going towards the front because the rest of the layout is more forceful there. You then go into a turn with strong laterals over the first airtime hill on the bridge. This hill provides good floater, but the second hill on the bridge provided more sustained and more forceful floater. Before this second hill though, you go through a few turns that have insanely good laterals. These turns are probably my favorite part of the ride. The hill before the second time over the bridge is forceless, so that element is just filler. The rest of the layout is more floater hills and turns providing more laterals. There is one noticeable turn and that is the 90 degree banked turn. This doesn’t have laterals, but the sensation of just being sideways masked it a really fun element. Overall, the ride is filled with airtime and laterals and provides a long ride experience. There is one major flaw though and that is the rattle. This is a rough ride, more than just the enjoyable wooden coaster roughness. Every time I went on it, I heard people that were complaining that it was painful on the brake run. It was a bit surprising because I hadn’t really heard about it being rough, but it was. It was enough to make it so that I only rode it 3 times the day I went. Hopefully the park gets Gravity Group’s precut track to fix the rough portions because that would keep the wooden coaster feel to this incredible ride. Even with the rough ride, this is an amazing ride and makes visiting Waldameer worth it.

Incredibly fun, well flowing layout with some fantastic inversions. The airtime power and quantity might not be there compared to other RMCs, but man this ride is just so incredibly fun. Pretty solid length as well. Wish it was operated better, the usual slow loading of RMC combined with one train and Discovery Kingdom's disappointing ops makes me sad this ride isn't easier to get on for such a fun and likely rerideable ride.

Now, I will start by saying that this coaster is great for what it does, but it is a ride that I expected a bit more of. The layout is fun and is very long, but I expected more thrill, something along the lines of Zokkon at Fuji-Q Highland. Except this is way slower paced. The transitions are slower and it even falls flat compared to Hiccup's Wing Gliders to me. In terms of theming, it really is fantastic, and blew me away when I saw it. The queue even pays hommage to Dueling Dragons, so that's quite cool. The queue moved really slowly though, despite the supposed high capacity of Hagrid's and there's one thing to blame: Express Passes. These things were the bane of my existence in Epic Universe, on Hagrid's and Rockit. They make the standby line move so slowly that it almost feels like a joke. They let more Express Passes into the station queue than they do people waiting in the standby queue, which is really appalling because you wait 120 minutes barely moving. Add to that the pouring rain on my ride and the train being stopped 3 minutes before the final launch and you see why my experience was not optimal. I do like the coaster for what it is and its theming is excellent, which is why I give 4.5 stars, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Wow. This thing should 100% be illegal, but I'm so glad it's not at the same time. It is so intense, and it has fantastic transitions from crushing positives to floaty negatives. The only con is that the ride's leg slamming is really bad, oh and it also pulls 3 hour waits because of trash capacity. I can look past the cons though because this is one of the best rides I’ve ever been on. Come out and ride this stupid thing! :)
