    Fun Too short Capacity

A fun ride and the perfect fit for Legoland Windsor, although the ride is very short and not the best fit from a capacity standpoint in a park that gets lots of crowds throughout the year. The theming is brilliant, especially the part where a team leader is selected which makes each ride feel a little more unique and fun for younger riders!

(Before the retrack) I absolutely love Nemesis for how much it packs a punch. From the first drop until you hit the brake run, Nemesis is just pure intensity with the forceful helix at the beginning, the vertical loop and all of the corkscrews and 0G rolls. I hope that with the changes of the retrack, too much of the theming is not altered because the Nemesis theme is so iconic, but I look forward to seeing how it will look and ride after the retrack. After the retrack, I find the theming incredible but the ride experience is much worse than the original. The trains ride really rough and the forces feel weird as opposed to the original experience. The ride also takes the layout much slower than before which is understandable for a new ride but still disappointing.

Airtimes Comfort Hangtime Rattle Too short

An incredible first drop and lots of insane airtime moments! Unfortunately there is a massive rattle on one of the trains, especially in the back row and the ride is incredibly short compared to many other large-scale coasters.

    Airtimes Nice surprise! Intensity Rattle

This coaster absolutely surprised me. I expected a rattly and small wooden coaster but I’ve got a pretty punchy airtime machine. Those airtimes actually have some solid flojector moments and the drop was also very good. I only rode it in the Backrow and I totally recommend it. Biggest con is that the ride has a bad rattle but that doesn’t really take much away from the ride experience in my opinion

Most of the benefits of this ride derive from the loop. The loop is insane, why is a loop this good on a family coaster. Sustained positives with a bit of float at the top. The rest of the ride is the reason it can have a 42 inch height requirement. It’s very mild. Some elements are pretty good for a family coaster, but after the loop, it does nothing. At least it’s aged well for a coaster this old, many people can still have a good time riding this as their first looping coaster, if they ignore the fact that the loop itself is insane.

    Theming Fun Capacity

I’ve already done this layout at Seabreeze, and it’s generally the same ride. However, this doesn’t spin on the first drop and following turn. However, it is in a building filled with theming, so it’s much more disorienting. Hersheypark is more popular than Seabreeze, so you’ll obviously wait a lot more for this.

    Fun Intensity Duration Capacity

9/4/2024: I honestly preferred Force for one reason. It's smooth. Fear has noticable jolts, especially during its pullouts and helices. It's the longer of the two and the most thrilling, with a few zippy drops and.a longer indoor section with an incredibly unique tilt track that catches you off guard. The kink in the final brakerun is also odd but it makes the ride all the more fun... and weird. All in all, it's just an incredibly unique spinning coaster that's slightly hindered by a few potholes. Update 10/4/2024: I rode Fear again at the end of the day and it didn't rattle much. It's just rather uncomfortable. The brakes are just really violent and the trains are uncomfortable. The lap bar rather bulky and contacts your stomach. Update July 2024: This is the better of the two Winjas now that I think of it. The tricks are more interesting and plentiful, it's longer and rather smooth too. The trains on both Winjas coasters have the lower section of the bar higher than Crush's Coaster, so you have way more room for your foot. The trains are also more padded than those on Crush's Coaster.

    Nice surprise! Fun Smoothness

9/4/2024: This is, unexpectedly, the best side of Winjas. It's shorter, but it's more varied. It has a few snappy transitions at the beginning mixed with a wild mouse section, which is better than a straight up wild mouse section. The drops are zippy and the helix in the middle of the area is disorienting and the switch track that just brings your train forwards after that section is just bizarre. You are inclined, so you think you're gonna drop down, but no, the car just rolls to the right or left, depending what side you're on. The following twister section has some energy to it. And the towards kink on the brakerun is just odd. This might be right behind Euro Mir in terms of how weird it is. My only complaints are the capacity and a few jerky sudden stops. Upadate 10/4/2024: I got the last train of the day and I stand by what I said. It's the smoother, shorter and slightly less thrilling side of Winjas. I got an off-balance ride and the car spun like a top during the wild mouse section. Update July 2024: My opinion has changed on both sides on Winjas. This is the less thrilling, shorter one, yes, but it also has the better capacity. I do prefer Fear, as it has the better tricks and more punchy layout and drops. The trains on both Winjas coasters have the lower section of the bar higher than Crush's Coaster, so you have way more room for your foot. The trains are also more padded than those on Crush's Coaster.

    Theming Inversions Intensity

This is the best B&M invert that I've been on. Mind you, I've only ridden two but Black Mamba the better of the two. It has world class theming, especially its gorgeous station. It starts off strong, with an intense loop and an insane zero-G roll. The pre-drop is weird but it gives a bit a character to Black Mamba. It's mainly about positive Gs, near misses and scenery. It also throws in a bit a weithlesness and two snappy corkscrews. It's one of the best looking and most confusing coasters I've even ridden. It also has the same weird double seatbelt as OzIris on the right inside seat of row 5. Just note that the max height is 1m95 due to its interactions with the scenery. Update July 2024: After having ridden Monster at Walygator, I have to say that Black Mamba feels like a smaller version of Monster. It has a drop that reminds of the one on Monster, a similarly intense loop and zero-G roll, whippy corkscrews, an intense helix and intense turns. All of the elements on Monster have a bit more punch, but those on Black Mamba are still very intense. The theming is also wonderful, as can be expected from Phantasialand. I recommend the back or front if you can choose. You get the unobstructed view up front, and the better forces and drops in the back. There was no wait on a quiet Friday in July, and I managed to get 7 rides, which makes it the perfect coaster to marathon at Phantasialand (F.L.Y. had next to no wait too but the queue is physically very long and there are the annoying lockers and wait in the station, and Taron always had a 15 minute wait at a minimum).

This ride is way overhated and is nowhere near as rough as people make out. I think it has become one of those coasters that has become 'cool' to hate. For a ride from 1989 it was way ahead of its time. The main positives for me were: - The layout is amazing. The first 5 inversions flow brilliantly into each other and the positive Gs are really strong but in a fun way. The corkscrews are also a bit different to typical Vekoma/Arrow corkscrews, there is a bit of pump and surge through them which can give some cool hangtime depending on where you are sat in the train. - For the most part the train ran smoothly over the rails. Yes there are a couple of slightly janky transitions but they are not that bad and are very brief moments. There were a few spots retracked several years ago I believe. Tbh I am not sure that retracking the whole thing would make that much difference, new trains would probably be a more significant upgrade. - The trains have padded headrests which are comfortable. Just rest your head against the headrest and you should experience zero headbanging. Only negatives I would say are: - The trains are a bit cramped if you are tall (especially the front of the front car which curves in in the footwell). - No negative Gs at all and the shallowness of the first drop feels a bit of a wasted opportunity given the height. But then again, back in the 80s there were not that many coasters with steep drops. If you want to experience a truly rough ride, go and ride Tonnerre 2 Zeus just next door to it, that ride gives the full jackhammer experience..
