    Discomfort Tear it down!

Dislike it a lot. Uncomfy and painful. A really bad ride here from intamin. (Right next to one of their best XD) Really short but at least that means that it is over quick.

    Fun

Really good maurer spinny boy. Cant go wrong with the 3000 series but this is a really nice one. Expectations exceeded.

    Masterpiece Intensity Ejectors

WOW. Really forceful, great elements, great transitions and there are no dead spots between elements (unlike most RMCs). This is like the perfect child of Taron and Lech coaster. Intamin really has a great model with the blitz coaster combining the best restraints, best LSM launches and great trackwork. If this had Taron level theming I wouldnt know which ride could beat it. Also dont be fooled by the POVs, just like Flying Aces the videos dont do the justice for this ride. Glad I got this as my number 200.

    Smoothness

Fun times. Was surprised by how smooth it was and its double down. Epic!!!!!

    Discomfort Tear it down!

I wish I could say something positive about the last one of its kind, but as with most models that only sold few units the problem is the model itself resulting in my mixed E Motions when riding it. At least until it smashed me against the ride side of the train sending this ride straight onto my flop list. Glad I have the credit so I dont have to ride it again.

    Disappointing! Tear it down! Pointless

This is teacups on track. Not what I expect from a spinning coaster. Abolutely horrible. Just go ride a Maurer SC2000 or 3000 they are simply better.

    Disappointing! Pointless

Having ridden quite a few gerstlauer bobsled coasters I was quite disappointed. I found this one to be a fair bit less forcefull that the others. The layout is cool but taken at a too slow pace.

Great for what it is supposed to be

    Theming Masterpiece Layout

F.L.Y is a brilliant new ride. It is crafted into one of the best if not the best themed area in existence. The ride is phenomenal and really does provide the sensation of flying through the steampunk theming. Positives are on point, transitions are whippy and the launches are not amazing but good enough in order to not take away from the experience and the ride is incredibly long. The new ride system absolutely deliveres both in terms of the coaster ride as well as the darkride sections. I love how the transition to the flying position and back are part of the ride and fit in with the storyline. Restrsints are comfortable and easy to use for the riders. The coaster does not quite live up to Taron but it gets very close but the theming combined with the way it is crafted actually makes it a superier overall experience. F.L.Y is also part of the rookburgh experience. I had the opportunity to stay at the Charles Lindbergh Hotel which I can absolutely recommend. Views are phenomenal and you can really get up close with the coaster. The whole themed area deliveres such a complete experience which at the time of the review it is probably the best in the world. Also big thumbs up for their locker system. It just works well and makes riding fly without geting smacked by flying phones effortless.

    Theming

I love tripsdrill and they nailed the theming with this one (as always). Unfortunately it suffers from the same problem as all family boomerangs I rode: More rattle than it should have, Forwards part feels slightly too fast and the backwards part feels slightly too slow. Vekoma has proven that they can build great coasters (like the ride intertwined with this one) but this ain't one of them unfortunately.

    Headbanging Discomfort Tear it down!

If you find the spinning mouse coasters boring I recommend you try this one. Its like the zamperla version but with an SBFVisa twist to it (Spoiler alert: OTS restraints). In my opinion its absolutely horrible. The pain is real and even worse than that on an SLC

  • Flurin S.

For some reason the family boomerang model always feels cheap. Unlike vekomas other new rides which are fantastic and feel high quality. Unfortunately this ride is no exception.

  • Flurin S.

Little girl in the row behind me probably caused irrepairable damage to my eardrums while riding this. The times when collecting credits is just not fun

  • Flurin S.

    Discomfort Tear it down!

I wasn't expecting it but this might be one of the worst thing to have ever come out of SBF's factory (not the worst since that goes to another ride at this park). The side to side slaming is unbelievable.

  • Flurin S.

This is the proof that you can't build a good SLC. (R.I.P shoulders)

    Airtimes Intensity Launch

Another great vekoma layout on this space warp model with a great balance of positive and negative forces. Unfortunately the restraints were quite restrictive and totally different from other vekoma vests like lech coaster. My main complaint however is the launch. I think that a forceless launch can ruin a ride quite badly and I would rather see more coasters with lifthills and decent drops being constructed so I do think that I would probably like the lifthill version of this more.

    Airtimes Fun Masterpiece

This ride blew away my expectations. It had so many incredible sustained airtime moments (most of which are ejector), one of the best first drops in existence and a fantastic layout. Personally i'm not a fan of the expression that a coaster feels "out of control" but the one ride that I got on this on the back left wing seat came really close to it. This ride is truely phenomenal. Furthermore Intamins fantastic "unstaplable" restraint design makes this ride just too much fun.

  • Flurin S.

    Nice surprise!

Unexpected fun ride. The drops are mental and the rides design makes it stand out (like the questionable breaking chain for example)

  • Flurin S.

    Airtimes Smoothness Dead spots

Finally got to ride colossos in 2020. The smoothness of this ride was unbelievable, however the airtime was a slight disappointment. Even though the first two hills have fantastic ejector airtime the rest of the ride is mainly floater and a pointless helix. Really fun and smooth prefab woodie though

  • Flurin S.

Very dank one that is. Lovely. Just how I like it

  • Flurin S.

    Nice surprise! Fun

More than I was expecting. A really fun maurer x car that I can highly recommend. The elements are fun, the ride is decently forceful and the launch is quite good.

  • Flurin S.

I was expecting a clone of rasender tausendfüssler at tripsdrill but I got more something like a kiddie SLC. Didn't check but this ride could have square wheels too.

  • Flurin S.

    Location Launch

Really good backwards launch on this one. The ride doesn't do much other than that but I do appreciate it as a design element for the impressive building too.

    Airtimes Lap Bar Intensity Rattle

Before visiting ferrari world I've heard some positive things about this ride but especially because of the official POV on which this ride seems to be crawling I wasn't expecting it to be mind blowing. Don't let yourself be fooled by the POV! This ride is awesome: Insanely intense, Really long, Well paced, Fantastic Ejectors and an overall well balanced package. I also got to do some nightrides on it and I was not disappointed. Unfortunately the ride does rattle a fair bit but that does not prevent it from being one of the best coasters of all time.

  • Flurin S.

    Launch Pace Smoothness

As a coaster enthusiast I was thrilled to visit Ferrari World and ride Formula Rossa as my 147th credit. I was not disappointed. The launch is fantastic, the top speed is face warping fast and the turns are more forceful than I expected (sustained 3g in the turns accoarding to my watches measurement). I also got some night rides on Formula Rossa and it was just amazing to do night rides on the coaster that I waited to ride all my life.

    Discomfort

Falcon started out with a solid drop and a fun loop, on which i said to my travel mate that it so far was a surprisingly fun ride. But then came the cutback ...............

  • Flurin S.

    Dank (and insane laterals)

  • Flurin S.

    Theming Nice surprise! Fun

I was excited to get on this ride since at the time of riding it was the only other mack inverted powered coaster besides arthur (which I rode a lot). And since im not only a coaster but also a darkride enthusiast I was happy to find out that this ride is phenomenal. It felt ovarall more balanced, less jerky and just more well put together than arthur as a ride. I really had the feeling as if they put everything they have learned from arthur ant put it into practise. Great!

  • Flurin S.

    Nice surprise! Pace Rattle Capacity

Note: This first part of this review is no longer up to date - This is just a phenomenal ride. It's one of the most complete packages you can get. Queue, Pre shows, Theming, Ride, Effects, Layout, Forces (any many more things) are truly world class. The moment when you leave the last pre show room and enter the station with the empty train in that mystical lighting is just incredible. One of the only negative points that I can say is about the theming during the ride (mainly the dark ride parts). After leaving the station the train drives into complete darkness and that's where the theming stops and does not return until reentering the station. On the enclosed lifthill for example you can clearly see that you are in a concrete building and not in the old tower that you are told to be in doring the pre shows, just placing brick textures on the walls of the indoor parts would help it quite a bit. The second point is the capacity. They should put in a single rider queue to make up for the terrible capacity. When I was there, a 16 people train was dispatched around every 3.5 minutes which is just terrible. Seeing empty seats on them though makes it even worse. Nevertheless is this coaster one of the best in the world and deserves his five star rating no doubt. - ride from 2018 --- Update: Had another visit in 2020 and the cosster was really really shaky and could even be considered rough. It felt more like a wooden coaster on steel track (not in a good way) Operations were horrible and enthusiast unfriendly. It's a shame to see a coaster fall so far from a revisit. Kärnan easily left my top ten because it was more painful than fun that day ;-( - Also there is so much lost potential in the theming. The "Special effect" which I am still not spoiling (despite the fact that probably everyone knows about it already anyways) is just in a concrete box. Just think about what could have been done there: Lighting, Themed walls, Sound Effects, Breaking wooden bar effects for example, the list goes on

  • Flurin S.

This is the first coaster I rode with banked turns. As stupid as this sounds it's what makes me kind of like it, hovever I only rode it once as a kid and never again. Still, being an enthusiast now this has a special place in my hart just for the fantastic banking on it ;)
