Theming Fun Duration
It’s amazing! My number 2, Taron being number 1. But man this is so good, probably the best themed rollercoaster IN THE WORLD, it has airtime, is comfortable, has the best operations that I have ever seen! Definitely book a trip to Phantasialand to experience this one of a kind attraction!

Theming Nice surprise! Fun Lap Bar
Pretty fun Vekoma family boomerang, not bad 🤷♂️

Airtimes Theming Launch
Absolutely incredible ride experience. This ride provides some of the world’s best theming, with a great layout. It is smooth, comfortable, provides pretty good airtime, and the launches are very, very good. The first launch surprised me, given that it’s an LSM, therefore I didn’t expect it to be as punchy as it was. And the second launch is one of the highlights of the ride. Well done Intamin and Phantasialand, wow 👏 🤩.

First Drop Intensity Hangtime Rattle Headbanging
It’s a really fun ride! Never has a long queue

Comfort Fun Duration Pointless
The clearance on this is awful 😭, but quite fun worth the credit at the end of the day 🤷♂️

Theming Fun
Pretty fun, the ride itself is a really tame vekoma family coaster, quite cool!

First Drop Theming Intensity Headbanging
I really do enjoy this ride, I know it’s often compared to its sister, located at Alton Towers, but regardless this is a great B&M invert. A bit of headbanging though.
-
Airtimes Theming Disappointing!
The theming is pretty neat. It contains some decent floater hills.
-
Launch Intensity Headbanging Harness Layout
A good ride! Underrated, in my opinion-not as good as stealth, though.

First Drop Theming Comfort Too short
My second favourite in the park, really, really smooth, comfortable ride experience. It’s overall a great rollercoaster.

Airtimes Launch Intensity Too short Discomfort
Fantastic, out of this world launch.

Airtimes Comfort Smoothness Theming Reliability
Really enjoyable ride, and yes, you do get a couple pops of airtime. Overall a very fun rollercoaster.
-
Theming Fun Pointless
I mean, it’s not a bad ride. It’s just a bit lacklustre, to be honest it doesn’t really do much, some decent theming, and overall a fun ride for younger people i.e little kids/children. And if you’re a hard-core enthusiast, and you haven’t done it, then I would do it just to get the credit.

First Drop Theming
I don’t really understand why people dislike this ride so much. It’s a fun little ride and you come flying out of your seat on the turnarounds and the first drop with only a little lap bar.
-
Theming Capacity Fun
A decent little suspended coaster. Not a bad ride! Definitely one of the best at Chessington.

First Drop Theming Headbanging Too short
A good ride, definitely the inferior gerstlaurer out of the Merlin parks-the smiler is better. Pretty rough ride experience, although it does have a pretty neat ejector airtime hill.

Airtimes Theming Lap Bar
Absolutely amazing. Best coaster at Towers, the first drop with the lap bar and the airtime hill following is just perfection. And that pre-show beforehand, oh wow, 10 out of 10 rollercoaster!

First Drop Fun Intensity Too short
I absolutely love this rollercoaster; fantastic! Drop is great, theming is great, and overall, usually has great queues. It builds up great anticipation through the queue line, you always seem scared no matter how many times you ride it.

Airtimes Theming Inversions
Really not anything bad to say about this ride. The Smiler is a masterpiece in engineering as it holds the world record for the most inversions on any rollercoaster, the ride is very intense, and pulls some great Gforces. The drop and inversion out of the station is very fast and takes you by surprise every time you ride it, and the ride has two airtime hills, one of which is mediocre, don’t get me wrong, it’s still good, but that’s the first one and the second one is really good, I mean, really good! The only rough spots on the ride are the transition out of the cobra role and the 2nd to last inversion. And yes, in the back row of The Smiler, it can be a bit jolty with some jarring transitions, but if you keep your head forward, trust me, you will be completely fine. One of my LEAST favourite things about the ride, though - although I love it - is the queue line. The majority of the queue line is right underneath the rollercoaster, which don’t get me wrong, offers some great views of The Smiler, but can be very loud, and the queue is mostly cattle pen and can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, and boring (like all queues 🙄). But overall, like I said at the beginning, in terms of engineering, this ride is a masterpiece, very revolutionary at the time and a phenomenal experience. A must do if you are an enthusiast like myself and I would certainly recommend waiting the long queue for it. 9.5 out of 10 rollercoaster, thank you for reading.

Very fun ride, not as good as vampire though :)
