    Discomfort

I had much better memories of this ride in the early 2000s but after a fresh ride in 2024, this thing sucks. How did Arrow get away with such terrible steel transitions that not even a wooden coaster would inflict on its passengers?

  • David Parrett

    Intensity Discomfort

Maverick is twisty and fun but for me just too forceful to fully enjoy or want re-rides.

    Theming Comfort Layout

The Top Gun theming on this along with the smooth ride and wonderful layout makes it by far the best B&M looper I’ve ridden. I love the way it uses the terrain including a section at the end above water. Too bad so many B&M loopers just end up being parking lot coasters because this shows how good they can be when they fit their terrain and have good theming.

    Smoothness

It was a smooth and fun wild mouse, loved the first drop!

  • David Parrett

    Discomfort

It really hurt my lower back.

  • David Parrett

    Layout Discomfort

It obviously has not been maintained so it’s just painful no matter where you sit. I generally love GCI but this desperately needs new lumber. I haven’t felt this much pain on a wood coaster since Roar at Six Flags America.

  • David Parrett

It’s a solid, big B&M floorless looper. It’s too forceful for me, I prefer the two B&M loopers at CGA nearby. Best thing about this was the amazing flowering bird-of-paradise plants in the queue.

  • David Parrett

    It’s a kiddie ride.

  • David Parrett

This spinning wild mouse was smooth at least.

  • David Parrett

It’s an S&S 4D clone that barely qualifies as a coaster. Do these deserve unique credits, probably not?

  • David Parrett

    Fun Smoothness

It’s a Premier skyrocket 2 clone but I really enjoy all of them in the front row with the view.

  • David Parrett

    Inversions Pace

It’s really a wonderful ride, no complaints at all. It’s exactly what you expect from RMC with all the wonderful zero-g airtime moments and twists. As for the operations, only one train was running with 5+ minute dispatches with a full park on a holiday so I was very happy to get my one ride in the back row. This ride deserves a better owner.

    Comfort

This was a fun ride for adults and little kids and was really smooth. The ride ops let you go around the whole circuit twice since it’s short. It features a tire drive lift hill and a decent drop and lots of near misses with the beautiful redwoods all around and in the middle of the ride.

  • David Parrett

    Theming Smoothness

This is such a pleasant and well maintained mine train coaster which is perfect for little kids and adults. It looks like it just got a fresh coat of paint. The ride starts with a short lift hilll and some lateral swerves down the hillside to a second larger lift hill which then features a wonderful curving dive into a valley and back up the other side and then winds through some more theming including a shed and other ‘wild west’ props. There’s an odd reference to raccoons playing with dynamite here or there with even an animatronic set of raccoons wagging their heads and laughing. The lift hills both have a loud and sharp jerk as the chain catches the train but otherwise it’s a smooth ride, much better than all the old Arrow mine trains it’s based on.

    Theming Inversions

This has the best theming of any Arrow coaster I’ve been on by far. I love the Demon laugh at the starting tunnel and how you start the corkscrew by entering the demon’s mouth. Imagine if every park put this kind of effort into telling a story with their coasters. It’s still an old school Arrow custom looper but it’s very smooth and re-rideable compared to most Arrow loopers. The second vertical loop always makes my head spin and so my vision blurs as I enter the tunnel with the red lights right after. It’s an interesting effect, I never thought how the devil could use a coaster to work his evil will ;-)

    Nice surprise! Intensity Discomfort

I read everyone’s negative reviews before riding it so I was surprised how intense and weird and interesting this ride actually was. It has a big unique personality and could be a solid fun ride, except the park stopped giving it much needed new lumber. You have to ride it very defensively and it’s just not good like that. Come on CGA, do the right thing with your wood coasters.

  • David Parrett

    Smoothness

It’s a wild mouse so it’s not a great ride by default, but it’s probably the smoothest and least annoying wild mouse I’ve ridden along with the one at Cedar Point. If you gotta ride a wild mouse, why not choose one of the last rides from a dying legend in 2001, Arrow.

  • David Parrett

    Comfort Smoothness

This is a really good B&M floorless looper. It has snappy transitions and I love the vertical loop that you later helix through the center. I feel like this ride has a the right balance of intensity and smoothness without hurting my head too much. It reminds me of a Batman clone in terms of size a little but seems like a custom layout. It’s one of the few B&M loopers that I enjoy re-riding along with Flight Deck.

    Intensity Rattle Too short

    An intense little rattle trap

  • David Parrett

    First Drop Duration

It’s a solid coaster without charm or uniqueness. It’s on a flat piece of land so it’s not a terrain coaster like Dollywood’s Lightning Rod which is absolutely stunning how it uses that terrain, and it’s not visually very appealing the way ArieForce One and Hakugei are. It’s a full scale but very rubber-stamped RMC. Wildcat’s Revenge, Iron Gwazi, Lightning Rod, and Hakugei are hands down better.

  • David Parrett

    First Drop Pace

This was the best coaster in the park. That drop really surprised me in the back row and then the pacing was really good. It’s got that old school looking track but is super smooth and fun.

  • David Parrett

    Pace Intensity

Ride this in the back, it’s such a rush you can’t catch your breath the way you whip over the top and plunge down the first hill and then get smoothly whipped around that track. It’s pure Intamin genius.

  • David Parrett

    Comfort Fun

Phantom’s Revenge is smooth, big, fast, and a rush. It feels super solid from the track to the cars, there’s no rattle or hint of movement to the track. I love the first half with the slow clack lift hill, swooping first drop, rush of speed on a straightaway up into a hilltop before the largest plunge. It is big and classy and a joy to ride, which is why I saved it for my 100th coaster credit.

  • David Parrett

It’s easily the best boomerang I’ve ridden since it didn’t leave me in pain like usual. It was really enjoyable with a smooth ride in the back row. Moving backwards is always my least favorite part of riding a boomerang but here it was tolerable.

  • David Parrett

This corkscrew actually was comfortable for me for the most part. Cedar Point must be doing something right because most other corkscrew copies give me a headache.

  • David Parrett

    Comfort

This is the Arrow ride to recommend and keep around, Cedar Point. The water below and fairly smooth flow of this keeps it fun for everyone.

  • David Parrett

    Comfort Intensity

This is a rare B&M looper for me that is not too forceful and is worth a re-ride. It’s got plenty of length and height and just is a lot of fun. The gate near misses are sort of gimmicky and not the best part of the ride but the rest is really well done.

  • David Parrett

    First Drop Comfort Pace

Having just ridden this after many years away, I thought maybe it would diminish over time but nope, it’s just as amazing and perfect a coaster as it was on its opening day. I love this ride.

  • David Parrett

    Comfort

I usually hate spinning rides and I usually hate wild mouse rides so a spinning wild mouse would usually be skipped. However, this one was easily my favorite coaster in my least favorite categories so that must add up to something near mediocre.

  • David Parrett

    Intensity Duration

This ride has been on my bucket list for a very long time so I saved it and rode it as my 200th credit. Unfortunately I found it bit disappointing in terms of its roughness and overall design being sort of nothing special. It’s definitely a front row coaster since that helps cut down on the roughness and you get the great view and airtime.
