It IS very cool that this coaster has been around since 1966. But it also FEELS like it's been around since then. It is so rough. I was very happy to get off this ride. But maybe that's all part of the charm and true to the "mine train" feel. I think they way it uses the terrain and a lot of the theming is great, but it was hard for me to enjoy the ride overall.

The ride was incredibly rough and boring. On the first chain lift, my back slammed into the padding and I had immense back pain for about an hour. the layout is boring and very horribly paced. The only good thing I can say about this ride is the final drop into the tunnel. You got some great airtime in the back and that drop itself was very unexpedcted. But the rattle on this ride is so annyoing. I would either decide to re track the ride, or close it for good.e

this is the very first coaster that Ive ever rode and I remember this more than any other coaster out there,its a classic and its very special to me(even more than judge Roy scream) I really don’t have anything negative to say about this, the ride experience is very tame and very long this is also one of the very few coasters I actually rode last year

I still have my cons against it like some dead spots and weird pacing but that seems to plague a lot of Six Flags's mine train coasters. I still enjoyed how long the ride lasted and was quite surprised how much effort they put into theming. It doesn't reach the levels of a top-tier park like Dollywood for example but most of these in the Six Flags chain just put random tunnels but this had a themed house and everything. Definitely better than its kiddie coaster counterpart as well. 2.5/5 stars

The theming and integration with buildings and tunnels is truly amazing and if Six Flags took better care of it then it would be Disney quality themed ride. It’s a rare mine train that deserves a reride for me and this one really puts all others to shame for being just a jerky steel coaster with no theme in a field. Kings Island has a decent mine train but nowhere close to this and what’s up with Cedar Point’s sad mine train with no theme or buildings or tunnels or animatronics?

This is a fun mine train and it might be one of the better mine trains out there. This ride has its pros and cons. It has a great setting. The first two thirds of the ride is mostly tame and jerky but there is still this one turn that had intense whip but unfortunately slammed my sides into the side of the train. And the ride in the first two thirds did have good whip and mild force at best. But it did have a great setting with lots of trees around and it really was cool when you go into those tunnels which are especially good at night. But it’s the finale that is the stand out moment of the ride. It takes place in a well themed saloon and then the drop was great. You get some great ejector airtime if you are in that back car. And if you’re in the back the front is already going down that drop when you are in the saloon so you get pulled down that drop. It’s not a big drop but it still gives great airtime. It’s even crazier because the lap bar is very open. Then I really liked the tunnel you go into after the drop. Then when you arrive at the break run the setting alongside a lake is really cool. This ride is especially cool at night because it’s pitch black in the tunnels and it’s dark because of the setting. I rate this coaster a 6 out of 10.

Runaway Mine Train is a long, relaxing, fun ride. It winds through the trees at a leisurely pace, sporting three lift hills and some typical janky mine train turns. The ending however, where you travel through a wester saloon and take a surprising drop into an underwater tunnel caps off a very solid mine train. I should add that it gets very long lines, so you might want to try this one earlier or later in the day.

This is one of the best mine trains I have ridden. The first half is your typical mine train with just turns and little drops in a nice location. After the second lift however is a nice surprise. You go through a well themed saloon and then head into a surprisingly good drop into a tunnel. The finale is enough to put this into my top 5 Arrow mine trains.
