Theming Location Fun Rattle Discomfort

This is the roughest coaster at Parc Astérix by far. The seating is uncomfortable. Just like the trains on Vol d’Icare, the trains on Trace du Hourra have tandem seating and it is bad. It’s not as uncomfortable as it is on Vol d’Icare, at least according to my friend. To me it felt mostly the same but oh well… but the roughness is what really killed the ride for me. It is incredibly shaky to the point where my vision was bopping up and down. The theme is nice though and the location in great next to the upcoming Toutatis coaster. The bobsled aspect is fun though and the layout for a bobsled coaster. Roughness is apparently an issue on all Mack bobsleds so I’m just gonna accept it, and remember, I was in the FRONT row, which is supposed to be the smoothest row in a coaster so I can only imagine how it is in the back. My friend told me he didn’t feel the roughness that much probably because he was in the front of the seat with me protecting him from the vibration. I’ll probably pass this coaster the next time I go there or maybe I’ll ride it last because if I’m gonna get my brain shaken around, I’ll ride it last. Still a tiny bit better than Vol d’Icare but barely. Update May 2023: I rode it twice this time around because there was next to no line so I thought back to back rides like that were a bargain. First of all, this has got to be one of the most efficient coasters I have ever seen. It is not rare to see two trains on the lift hill at the same time. I got a ride that was extremely rough in the middle but I was resting by back on the seat. At the end of my first ride, I figured out that not having your back on the seat was much more comfortable. I got another ride in the very back and it was good. The first midcourse didn't hit at all which not only made for some awesome whip on the following turn but also some good positive G forces. The S turns are quite fun at the beginning. What's funny is that someone threw up on the exit platform in the train right in front of me. I've heard many people call it "La Trace du Vomi" which literally translates to "The Vomit Stain" and there you go so that was quite funny but overall it's a good family ride that brings some life to the festival area.

eh, its pretty good, but the metal lap bars arent really comfy, especially when youre riding on someones lap (which i did) and it pressed kn my stomach a bit.

It's a Mack Bobsled so it's not gonna be too crazy, but I enjoyed this one for its long duration and sense of speed. It felt like it was flying through those turns which was great! Plus the view on Toutatis is a nice extra. It does have a slight rattle but nothing too bad.

Fun. Ran more rough than avalanche (other Mack Bob I rode) I really appreciated the long layout with some good spots of intensity.

my favorite mack bobsled, but the bar is low. pulls decent forces and lasts a while.

Fun Dead spots Lap Bar

My first bobsleigh ride and I thought it was a fun one. Followed the advice in the reviews to ride alone, and stay sitting a bit forwards not touching the backrest and this helped the comfort a lot. Due to capacity there are a lot of break runs which does create some dead spots, but overall it was still a fun ride for me.

The age of this coaster is showing, but the freedom in the seats and massive height (for a bobsled) more than make up for it.

Location Fun Rattle

Was a bit disappointed by this one, was way more rattling and shaky than expected. The location around Toutatis is cool though and the layout is kinda fun. Though the many breaks always kill the pace

Fun Duration Dead spots

Ride alone if possible, don't lean against the back rest and you will have an enjoyable ride filled with some decent laterals and some fun experiences since it is a bobsled coaster. Ride with 2 and lean against the back rest and you will experience a lot of rattle and discomfort.

Nice surprise for a Mack Bobsled, offers a very long ride and good fun for the whole family.

Fun and long Mack bobsled-coaster with some unexpected intense moments. Obviously with the standard bobsled problems (rattle, harness) but nothing too serious.

By far the best Mack Rides bobbahn out of the ones I tried. Unfortunately I could only get one ride on it (which was in the front row) but I really enjoyed it.

Theming Fun Capacity Pointless Layout

Fine family ride but too dull with the many break runs needed for capacity. Not worth the wait. Cool theme though
