Theming
Was expecting worse from a ride that looks and sounds like it could fall apart any moment but it is pretty smooth. It also doesn't have that annoying thing between your legs. I feel the theming could've been a little better, as this coaster is just plopped on a plain field of grass.

Airtimes Masterpiece Layout Launch
Damn. I came to this ride expecting it to be very good and it exeeded my expectations. Its so good. Its smooth, has good inversions, hangtime and theres two REALLY good and strong airtime hills. They are better in the back, and because of that Helix is definetly a back row ride. They are the best parts of the ride. Helix also uses the terrain amazingly, and that adds to the experience heavily. Theres also a few strong positive-g moments. I also like the queue and of course the soundtrack. The only con is the launches but i didnt mind that much. The lap bars were better than expected althrough they can come down pretty hard near the end but it didnt always happen. I was lucky because the wait times were 0-10 min all day. I got 16 rides on Helix and i'd say i got a good feel for the ride. Also its just fun to look at Helix from the pathways. It is my #1 for now. Amazing ride!

Theming Fun Duration Headbanging
It's over 40 years old and is still a solid ride. The age shows with how knocked around you get, but the loops are still fun and this ride has some great memories for most Virginians.

Airtimes First Drop Lap Bar Dead spots
Balder is a great woodie. At first i didnt like it at all when i rode it in the front. It had a rattle and the drop wasn't good and the airtimes were not that good. But then i rode it in the back. Its a different ride. The drop back there had great airtime and headchoppers and you got pulled into every hill. Great restraints too. The turns dont have any force but the airtime makes up for it. Good ride!

First Drop Comfort Smoothness Too short
I echo the sentiment that the duration of this ride is disappointing. That said, the short duration packs a punch. The ride is smooth as glass and no matter how many times you ride it, you always feel a twinge of helplessness as you're being dangled over the 90 degree drop.

Inversions Pace Masterpiece
This has been my favorite coaster since I was a kid. As many times as I've been on it, I'm still inevitably surprised at least once or twice. My trick is to avoid the front row. With the hanging layout, you'll inevitably not see what's coming next anyway (for the most part), but not getting the front row view is just that much more immersive. I could only select 3 pros, but if you're into theming, this one is strong in that department. It's also a fairly long ride compared to some of the other coasters in the park. This one is always worth riding twice.

Airtimes Lap Bar Launch Discomfort
Junker is an excellent ride and packs a great punch. The first launch is amazing and there are many airtime moments. It is also really intense and that is good but it makes my only con. The seat can hurt a little at those moments at the second half. If youre bigger shaped it isnt a con at all. But anyways an amazing ride and i really enjoyed it.

Nice surprise! Intensity Smoothness
I knew this one was going to be wild based on the track layout, but I missed the memo about how fast it was going to be until we rode it. (Of course, I saw the signs AFTER the fact lol) I experienced something I hadn't felt on a roller coaster since childhood- a healthy dose of fear. And that was exciting. This one has me re-evaluating what my favorite ride in the park might be.

Lap Bar Comfort Fun
The up and down on this one is pretty fun. Some of the later drops will surprise you. The way you're secured into the seat allows for a freeing feeling, arms can be up and making the most of it comfortably. This is an older ride at this point but it's still smooth and I don't get sick of it. Not my favorite in the park, but a beloved classic with no glaring issues, either.
