    Pace Smoothness Too short

This is the shorter Boomerang layout, and probably the weaker one out of them, however still fun and it does feel fast up against the landscaping. Very nicely themed too in the Lost Kingdom area

    First Drop Fun Layout Theming

Cobra is just pure fun, Gerstlauer really do a good job fusing a wild mouse with a more varied layout with their Bobsled models. Nice snappy first drop that's quite floaty, before the wild mouse section that really is pretty wild, absolutely no trimming so it flies through the turns, Then there's the double helixes, a run of airtime hills which are again floaty, before a final helix. Such a simple layout but just super enjoyable. The ride runs nice and smooth as well, probably the smoothest Gerstlauer in the country in all honesty. Unfortunately, being one of Paultons' older rides, it's completely unthemed, and it does stand out like a sore thumb amongst the other gorgeous immersive areas of the park. So hopefully in the future they can integrate Cobra and Edge into a new themed land (perhaps the viking area rumoured for 2026). But the ride itself is excellent and another great family coaster offering at the park

    Lap Bar Comfort Intensity

Another of Paultons' excellent family coasters, this time the suspended variety. Vekoma do a great job with these and Pterosaur is no exception, the layout is fun with some floaty moments, and the nice intense final helix into the station. First drop is good in the back too, not as whippy as the longer model but you still get a nice bit of pull off the lift. Speaking of, there's no doubt that the longer version provides a more complete ride experience, but this baby model still gives a fun ride. It's really nicely themed as well, the queue aside as that's just a cattle pen, lots of dinosaurs around and plenty of good landscaping. Great trains on these too, really minimal lap bar and really comfortable. An ideal family coaster really

    Airtimes Ejectors Duration Reliability

After a steep climb up, the coaster flies down at a speed of 113 km/h and the coaster repeats this 2 more times. My brace was quite loose, so it was not very comfortable.

    Theming Intensity Layout Too short

Storm Chaser is a really excellent coaster, in one of the most immersive themed areas going in Tornado Springs. It really dominates the area with the track running above the main pathways, and forms such a cohesive theme that's just really well thought through. The main queue building looks great with lots of props and atmospheric lighting, and the great soundtrack playing throughout. The station is equally detailed with loads of great theming, and the trains are great as well. Nice and comfortable when you get in, quite a bulky lap bar but then it does need to service it's 1m height restriction, so it's understandable. Then off you go up the lift, lovely views of the park from the top. From then on, the ride experience well outperforms it's family status, there's some great moments of intensity, in particular the helix really pulls some good g's. You can get some serious spinning too if the cars are weighted well, although on some other rides you barely spin at all. Runs nice and smooth as well which is important at a family park. Only quibble is it is a short layout, could do with maybe an extra few turns and an airtime hill, but it's still an excellent ride and one of the best family coasters going. It's certainly the best themed!

    Capacity

Its a kids coaster with a massive train. Not much to say.

    Discomfort Pointless

The ride did its job by spinning alot, but it was so freakin jerky. Every turn was unnatural and really uncomfortable. Plus the first half of the ride was pointless.

    Inversions Fun Too short

My first experience on an S&S freespin and it honestly was pretty fun. Just too short.

Theming Nice surprise! Fun Dead spots

This one was so much fun and I couldn't wait to get back in line! The theming is fantastic and I'm obsessed with the German lady voiceover. It's just too cute, "Auf Wiedersehen!" This has probably been spoiled in the past but there's also a fantastic surprise at some point in the ride duration which makes this so cool. The lighting and theming in the indoor section is fantastic and I think it's done better than DarKoaster. It gives such a spooky feel to it. My only noticeable con is how apparent the dead spots are. It doesn't kill the ride experience but it has very awkward pauses throughout the duration that inhibit the momentum. It's still a fantastic ride though. 4/5 stars

    Intensity Headbanging Reliability

I'm glad they opened it, but the headbanging is terrible on this ride. I really wish I liked it, but I really don't. I would love it if they could remove the stupid OTSRs, but at least it's not been scrapped.
