This ride is still just confusing to me and at first not what I expected. On one hand some elements I found to be quite overrated like the top hat and backwards launch, on the other hand I really enjoyed the spike, 3rd launch and the snaps on the top hat. The downwards spiral in particular is so insane and not even all in a good way. If you ride right seat and ragdoll it is so unnaturally snappy that it’s not even fun, it feels like a freak injury. When ridden properly it is a very insane yet still fun element. Overall it’s a hard ride to rank for me because it feels different every time to be but when I get a good ride it can be a great coaster, it’s just a lot of times parts of the ride are either kinda boring or too insane.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most overrated coasters. This isn't to say it's bad, just that it's really not that good. There's a couple of things dragging it down for me. One, it's REALLY short. I'm normally not one to complain when a coaster is short, but this one is S&S freespin length (in terms of duration). Two, it's uncomfortable, and three, it hurts. Going through the layout, it starts with a really slow dispatch. Once you get to the top of the lift hill, you hit a pre-drop that makes you think you're going to valley every time. You get a drop that gives a super satisfying pop of ejector in the back, but is pretty underwhelming in the front. After getting through a valley, and going through a rock, you hit a dive loop that gives some mild ejector. After that, you hit the most insane airtime on any coaster I've ever done. It's a twisted airtime hill that absolutely LAUNCHES you out of your seat. This would be an amazing moment, but the comfort collars and hard lap bar completely ruin the moment, and you end up with a bruise on your neck. Then there's a turnaround that delivers mild laterals. You dive back down, and go into a cutback that's pretty boring. You do a corkscrew for the final inversion, and get another pop of ejector into the brake run. Overall, it's a great coaster, but the comfort collars ruin the ejector and it's way to short to actually get a lot out of it.

Orion is an incredible B&M giga coaster. I've done both B&M giga's in the USA and Orion is superior to Fury 325 which is the other B&M giga in the USA. Orion has very strong airtime, especially in the front row. The drop in the backrow gives unbelievably strong airtime. The ride is actually really forceful and the pacing on it is amazing. The ride is also glass smooth. The ride also honestly has a very good layout. The ride may not be to long but it still packs a huge punch with its amazing airtime moments and pacing. Overall Orion is a incredible B&M and is for sure the best coaster at Kings Island

This is the best floorless model I've ridden. The pacing is good, and It has a solid layout with a lot of variety. However, the OTSR smacked my ears hard a couple of times. The ride is smooth in the front, while my ride near the back rattled a bit.
