Fun Ejectors Hangtime Intensity
I’ll step out on a limb and say Cannibal was a little disappointing for me. The ejector on the first drop is so intense it’s hard to really enjoy it. It’s borderline uncomfortable sadly, at least for me. Only rode once and it was the first ride of the day, so I probably would have enjoyed a second run better later on. Oh well, it makes me excited to try it again soon! Cannibal helped me realize two preferences I have that many other enthusiasts don’t. One, I don’t like steeper than vertical drops. The further past vertical you go, the more time and space you have to spend leveling out, taking away precious height and “drop” floater airtime. Two, hangtime, at least the kind on Cannibal is too intense for me. It’s a cool sensation, but is not very comfortable. I guess I’m weird like that haha. But just had to be honest! The rest of this coaster is absolutely stunning and truly incredible. From waterfalls, to tunnels, to the lagoon roll, this coaster has something for everyone and is wildly fun overall. I just wish the first drop wasn’t so “sweaty” haha.

Launch Smoothness Layout Capacity
West Coast Racers is exceptionally good - way better than most people give it credit for. I didn’t find the restraints to be painful at all, just slightly claustrophobic in those small trains. The ride experience itself is really really cool. The dualing is SO CLOSE it feels like you can really grab someone’s hand on the other train at times. I love how this coaster hugs the ground and has very balanced forces. The maneuvers are very RMC-esque, but the forces are more floaty and regulated instead of intense, which I think fits the racing cars theme well. The biggest downside here is the capacity. This crew runs slow as molasses, which makes the experience of that halfway wait painfully long. I wish each side was its own separate track so you could run two trains on each track. On a slow day we waited 40 minutes for this. Can’t imagine how long of a wait it would have been if busy.

Airtimes First Drop Comfort Capacity
I’m usually not a big fan of inverts but I loved this, the first drop was great and there was an amazing sustained airtime moment towards the end

Location Intensity Harness Disappointing! Discomfort
I agree with the review below. This is such an overrated ride not only at magic mountain but in general. Rode back left and got insane forces on the pretzel loop, but everything else was honestly trash. There’s a painful rattle back there, at least on the train I was on, and these flying coasters just aren’t my style I guess. It’s such an uncomfortable way to ride. I even heard many teenage girls in front of me commenting on how rough and painful it was. Maybe that specific train needs maintenance. Hope to get a better ride in the future, but for now it’s gonna be a solid 5/10

Comfort Launch Fun Capacity Harness
The line for this ride seem to always be bad. But if you can catch it at an off time it's worth the ride. Very smooth, fun layout, and the dual adds excitement. Climbing into the cars is a bit difficult as it is extremely cramped. I'm 6'2" and 200lbs but in shape, and it takes contortion to get into the seat especially if you have to cross over the first chair. The harness seems excessive as well, a single lap bar would work much better than the over the shoulder which scraped my face as I pulled it over (you have to lift your arms just to get into the thing). However once you are wedged into your seat it's comfortable enough. It's a fun ride. Anything that guarantees a duel adds to the thrill of the experience.

Pace Layout Headbanging Harness
First ride for me even though we frequent the park. I enjoyed the stand up experience having not been on one since Iron Wolf at Great American years ago. It's a unique experience and the ride has an excellent layout. At first I thought the harness was fine. I was comfortable enough through the lift hill. Then during some banks I experience major head banging, and smacked my ear against the harness a few times. Now that I'm aware of that I could try to resist that effect in the future, since the ride is fun overall.

Intensity Discomfort
Nothing but pain. We skip this ride every time we go to the park. OK I have to edit after our ride on 11/2/2024. We rode front row and it wasn't as bad as I remember. Maybe because after riding Apocalypse beforehand nothing can compare to that rattle.

Intensity Rattle Discomfort
Has this ride gotten worse? I remember being pleasantly surprised at the pace and enjoyment on this ride. It's intense for such a compact layout for sure. But after our ride yesterday I'm pretty sure my internal organs were all bruised. It's so rough. I used to think Viper was the more painful ride at Magic Mountain but after riding both on the same day Apocalypse is the undisputed king of body harm. We only rode it once so as to protect the future well being of my body, off to the dentist tomorrow to have the fillings in my teeth replaced.
