    Smoothness Layout

This is quite funny, because if someone asked me what are your best 3 memories from Heide Park rollercoasters, I would answer: Colossos airtimes, Desert Race launch and Krake's first drop. And this is, I think, the biggest problem with this thing - there is no "WoW" effect, even though there is very rare dive drop and the only demonic knot in the world. The second problem is the theming (which, compared to other coasters in Heide, is wonderful, but it is because absolutely dreadful theming of most of the attractions in this park) - OK, there is quite nice entrance, there are stylish trains, there is even speaker with scary sounds, but c'mon - I want to feel the evil. But if someone asked me what is the best roller coaster in Heide Park, I would answer Flug der Damonen. Why? Because there is everything (except from "WoW" effect moment) you can imagine: constant action, inversions, nice speed, good dive drop and legendary smoothness of B&M rides. Very strong 4 stars, with only a little gap to 4,5 stars rating. Strongly recommended!

    Launch Intensity Smoothness Too short

I love this thing, it is extremely good fun generator. Nicely design station equipped with new Vekoma trains, the same which are used in Lech in Legendia. I really like launched coasters, so first 2 seconds are great, albeit worse than on Desert Storm in Heide. However, remaining part of track is much better than there: great inversions (especially sidewinder), nice corners, few airtimes - everything in great pace, perfectly smooth, really close to the ground which makes that you feel the speed more. It is a shame that the track is not a little bit longer and the theming a little bit better - that is why "only" 4.5 stars from my side.

    Inversions Rattle Discomfort

Everything was said about Vekoma SLC. This one is however slightly better, due to new sits and restraints (no headbanging) and because of the age, it is a little bit less rough than its older brothers.

Pace Fun Intensity Discomfort Lap Bar

I've waited almost a year for riding Zadra, which was opened a week after my previous visit in Energylandia. My expectations were very high and reality, unfortunately, does not match them in all aspects. Visually beautiful, Zadra is located in Dragon Zone - area which looks much better then every other park zone due to its theming. The atmosphere of medieval village disappears however in ridiculously long queue line, which has no theming at all. After beautiful Hyperion station and overall presence of Dragon Zone it is a bit disappointing. Finally I'm in the train - OMG, the restrains are so uncomfortable! Lap bars have additional shin guards, which caused giant bruises on my legs after only 3 rides. Ride experience? After extremely noisy chain lift the drop comes - very good in last row (nice ejector), ok in the middle rows. After the drop, train reaches its top speed of 121 km/h and maintain great pace till the end. After twisted top hat the Zero-G stall comes - one of 2 best moments of the rides, which looks spectacular from the outside. Couple of turns and second best moment comes - great right turn immediately followed by sharp left - masterpiece! Shortly after you reach great ejector hill, followed by second inversion. Last section is close to the ground and to the structure of Zadra, with the final, third inversion and... ouch, painful, hard brakes at the end. The train has enough speed for further 200m of track, which is unfortunately missing. Overall, awesome ride, with extremely high G-forces, very intense with great pacing, but also with couple of drawbacks: uncomfortable restrains, brutal brakes and lack of theming. So which one is better: Zadra or Hyperion? They are different, so it is difficult to compare them, both have pros and cons, but let me put it this way: every time I'm in Hyperion waiting for departure, I'm excited and scared a little bit. And I love this feeling. On Zadra, I felt this only once, before the first ride.

    Discomfort

1.5 star for the ride, awful plastic alien theming which surprisingly is quite attractive for children, but this roller coaster is so uncomfortable that at the end only one star from me.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Inversions Discomfort Pointless Layout

Apart from 2 loops and unique row where you are going backwards, there is nothing positive I can say about it. Boring, uncomfortable machine.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

Well, it's an example of kiddy coaster - nothing really happens there, but for smaller children - it is ok.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Theming

Worse than Draken, better than every other kid coaster in Energylandia, Happy Loops is suffering from lack of cheap, colorful plastic mushrooms and other decoration, which makes it less attractive for children.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Pointless

0.5 star from me for the ride experience (absolutely dreadful), but children were delighted with colorful, cheap, plastic theming. Hence, another 0.5 star totalled to 1 star for the whole ride. It is a mystery for me why Energuś is classified as kid coaster, while Frutti Loop as family one by Energylandia.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

Although the track layout seems to be more interesting than on her bigger brother Energuś (even though it is shorter and lower), the ride was not as comfortable as on Energuś, which is quite disappointing, given the smoothness of other Vekoma coasters in Energylandia.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Comfort

My first "real" rollercoaster I have ever ridden. There are more than 20 of them all over the world, so it's not a unique experience. For me a little bit worse than Gerstlauer version of family coaster. Nevertheless, it's nice, smooth, comfortable machine for the whole family.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Theming Discomfort

Surprisingly good for a such small thing, except from lack of leg room (I have 1.81m and barely fit there) and no theming. Overall, still best child coaster in the park.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Pointless

I can not see any pros (even from a child perspective) of this coaster, so clearly 0.5 star from me, BUT thanks to the operator of this machine, who made a great party and made us laughing through the whole ride I give extra 0.5 star :)

    Nice surprise! Fun Smoothness Capacity

Based on my previous experience with Vekoma inverted rollercoaster (SLC), this thing was a really nice surprise! It is nicely themed and equipped with great sits with no handles. It changed a lot from my last ride two years ago - now there is water below the track, which makes the ride even better. After reaching the top, you've experienced really nice first drop from decent height directly into the dragon mouth which is followed by fantastic right turn - this is really good start. Remaining part of the track is also very intense, going above the station and close to the ground. The ride is perfectly smooth up to last two corners, where suddenly become quite jolty. Except from this (and the capacity - only 1 train, queues are very long) Dragon is great family coaster, with plenty of action. In my opinion - much better choice than Mayan.

    Theming Dead spots Layout

Well, this is my favorite for 'the most dreadful theming award' - this rollercoaster has absolutely no theming and additionally, it is painted in the same ugly colors as Limit which is right next to it. Given the age of the coaster, I was expecting terrible ride in terms of smoothness and comfort, but it is better than on Limit. The worst thing is the layout (you can really feel the age of this): the coaster is not high, the speed is low, the drop is dreadful, after the drop there is 30m of straight track (what is it for??). Ok, there are 4 inversions, but the only positive thing I can say about them, is that corkscrews are over the lake, which makes them quite nice. The last part of the ride (after all inversions) is absolutely pointless - nothing really happens there and it is very jolty.

    First Drop Theming Pace Rattle

Energylandia is very proud of this coaster and is showing off a little bit, as Hyperion is located just next to the main parking, really close to the entrance. But believe me, this thing looks magnificent and the showing off is understandable. It is also very well themed, in a style which reminds Star Trek a little bit. The station looks epic and creates a proper atmosphere thanks to the movies which are displayed, lights etc. It is a shame, that final part of the queue is located outside the building, on the staircase - whole atmosphere disappears. In my first ride I was sitting in third row, in the middle - sits are located quite high and I could not place my legs on the ground (which is perfectly possible on the outside). First drop: Wow! It is followed by nice airtime on another hill. Second part of the ride is different - track is closer to the ground, there are nice corners there and finally, there is great portion of airtime close to the end. I was shocked how good this thing is. I went for another ride and, unfortunately, it was much worse than the first one. I do not know what is the reason: maybe the place I took (last row) or train (people complain about train no. 2 on polish forums) - but the ride was very uncomfortable due to constant rattle. It is still, however, a great, intense, well-themed coaster with amazing drop, great pace and nice layout.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Fun Capacity

Let's start from the cons this time: the biggest problem is the capacity, as the queues are above 60 min for the most of the day. Trains (boats?) are designed only for 10 people, which is not enough. Second thing: theming. At least it exists, but the connection between speed and Pirates from Caribbean remains unknown for me. But let's move to the ride: elevator is really nice, first drop is not the best, but due to the angle it lasts quite long which is ok. Than there is first splash which does not make you wet and where, unfortunately, the speed is going down. Remaining part of the track is quite smooth, the pace is ok, but there is absolutely nothing worth mentioning. And the final... You can be VERY WET after the ride if you choose first or second row :).

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Headbanging Capacity Discomfort

Starting from the beginning: queues are usually very long because of low capacity. Theming is poor, ride is extremely uncomfortable because of very bumpy track combined with stupid restraints which caused headbanging, especially in the second part of the track. Overall, very unpleasant experience.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Smoothness

Very good family coaster with nice track going over the station. The train reaches the top really close to the end of the rails, which is an additional thrill element. The ride is perfectly smooth. By far the best sit-down family coaster in the park, which easily beats Frida and Energuś.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    First Drop Smoothness Layout

The ride is absolutely epic. Positive feelings appear before you even ride it. Lech is visible from every place in the park, beautifully located by the lake - it looks magnificent. When you get closer, it is even better: extensive medieval theming based on legend of Lech, who is considered as the first Polish ruler looks really well. But let's go to the mertis: the trains are the newest design from Vekoma and are really comfortable. After the start you have a few moments to enjoy the views and then the sensational ride begins: first drop is a masterpiece. And I really mean masterpiece. But the best thing is that the rest of the ride is extremely intense, with constant action, 3 great inversions, airtimes and lots of positive G's. The pace is great, and you can really feel the speed because majority of the ride is close the the ground, with some great sections over the lake too. Whole ride is very, very smooth, which is totally different from old Vekoma coasters. This thing is an example of how compact-size steel roller coaster should be designed.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Airtimes Fun Capacity

My expectations were set very high before the ride and I have mixed feeling about Colossos after the ride. First thing - it is huge. You can't see it from the park, as most of the track is hidden. But when you are on the top you see the beauty and size of this rc. After first drop the track goes up and down several times (separated by great 180 right curve), which gives you plenty of airtime, but every hill is more or less the same as the previous one. The second part is more interesting, mostly due to the fragment below the wooden construction (you can really feel the speed) and additional track close to "fire mouth" which is really nice trick used by the constructors. Overall, it was really good ride with plenty of airtimes, but with quite boring track layout, extremely long queues (90 minutes for most of the day) and disappointing theming.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Launch Intensity Theming Reliability

Actually, Desert Race is somehow similar to Krake: they both give you great 2 seconds (drop in krake vs crazy good launch in Desert Race). But in Krake, there is nothing more and here, after all red lights extinguish, the paradise come for 2 seconds AND you have decent (but a little bit to short) track with some nice curves and airtimes. That is the biggest advantage over Krake - Desert Race gives you fun which lasts much longer. The queues are shorter too. On the cons site, there are some issues with reliability (ride was closed for ca. 1h) and theming, which is dreadful.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Nice surprise! Pace Rattle

This thing was quite a surprise for me. Because of the fact, that you sit almost on the track you feel the speed much more. The track is quite long, has an indoor part. Due to construction of the track, the ride is not the most comfortable, but overall it is really nice roller coaster.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    First Drop Smoothness Too short

Despite great first drop (which is neither very steep nor very high, but it is over the lake, with great krake mouth below in floorless train), nice immelman, great splash which makes you wet after the inversion, legendary B&M quality and smoothness, I just can't give more than 3 stars. After the Immelman you reach the end of the ride in few seconds and just can't believe it is over. Maybe if the queue were short it would be worth going few times, but the waiting time for this is usually quite long and the reward you receive (which is basically the drop) is unsatisfactory.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Theming

Overall the ride is nice, but the indoor section is really bad - there is nothing there.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Inversions Rattle Headbanging Harness

Based on the reviews and the ranking I was expecting the worst, but... it is not so bad. Ok, the theming is dreadful, it is the ugliest SLC thanks to its colours, the ride is very far from being smooth and there is nothing which stays in your memory, but it is still quite intense thing with plenty of inversions.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    First Drop Rattle Headbanging Discomfort

The most important thing: choose first row if possible. Not only because of the drop (which is the most exciting in first row), but also for your comfort (last row is terrible). After 5 rides I had problems with driving a car on the day after (seat belts caused pain on my shoulder), whereas my girlfriend had bruises on her arms. First drop is nice, as well as the first inversion - they are by far the best elements of the ride. After solid cobra roll (up to this moment, it is 3.5 stars ride) the nightmare comes: the ride is very bumpy and uncomfortable. Additionally, the track layout after the cobra roll is poor: the breaking part lowered the speed, which combined with low height and dreadful last inversions make the second part of the track pointless. For the 2019 season, part of the track was replaced, but it is still very uncomfortable roller coaster.

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Nice surprise! Layout Capacity

This was quite a surprise for me: nice layout, which combines elements of wild mouse and 'normal' steel roller coaster, good theming (unfortunately, only from the outside). Overall impressions are definitely positive, despite the fact that it is not the smoothest ride (but much better than Huracan).

  • Krzysztof Czaplicki

    Capacity Comfort

This is good family coaster: ride is smooth, track layout is ok. The best moment is right turn close to the end of the ride - it gives fun.
