My rating is for the last time I rode this awesome woodie, which was in 1999. Of course, it was on the newer side then and didn’t develop the problems it had towards the end. I have great memories of the Wildcat in its heyday.

This coaster and the now-defunct Hercules in Dorney Park are by far the 2 worst (i.e. most painful) coasters I’ve ever had the displeasure of riding. The only time I rode the Big Apple Coaster was in the early 2000’s, so I unfortunately got the awful trains. But I remember the loop being so intense that I thought I would end up in a hospital after this “Welcome to Vegas” party ride was finally over.

This had the “feel” of cheap, cheap, cheap to me. A poor man’s version of Space Mountain. No imagination whatsoever was used in creating this ride. Hi...

There is nothing special about this coaster at all. I guess one could say it could be a good beginner coaster, but that’s about it. No thrills whatsoever. Totally predictable, boring ride. Look at the photos and they’ll tell you all you need to know. One and done.

This coaster is just right for the first-time coaster enthusiast-to-be! It offers quite a number of airtime moments, and with the buzz-bars, you’ll be enjoying the floaters probably more than you anticipated. I would rate this as the best introductory coaster to anyone who is just starting out with coaster riding or anyone who thinks all coasters are scary. Loved this coaster!

If this coaster was “themed” from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, weren’t Bill and Ted literally “headbangers” in the movies? I guess when these multiple clones popped up everywhere during the 90’s, we should have expected what we were given: headbanging at its finest!

OMG! I was waiting for this coaster to pop up on this list. When I rode Hercules in 1999, it was without a doubt the most brutal, back-breaking coaster I had ever been on, up to that point and ever since! There was nothing “fun” about this ride. The drop out over the water was impressive “looking”, but the ride was SO rough, I thought the coaster was going to implode or explode (take your pick). To make the ride even worse after the jarring roughness of the drop, Hercules proceeded to have the roughest, most BORING layout back to the station I’ve ever seen. Silly me went on it in a different seat for a second-chance ride. Dumb decision. I noticed that there was next to no line for this ride. When people rate bad coasters, I wish more would have had the opportunity to have ridden this terrible, terrible, terrible woodie.

Before I rode this for the first time (just before it closed), someone told me its nickname: Drachen Pile. After riding it, I can safely proclaim that up to that point in my coaster riding career, it was given a most fitting nickname, if I say so myself. Rough beyond all roughness. It was a one and done for me.
