It's really just a series of airtime hills but that works really well for a racing coaster as it leaves the two racing cars directly parallel for most of the duration. Feels more like a "race" than nearly any other racer I've been on. If it wasn't actually racing properly I'd bump this rating down quite a bit, though it'd still be a charming woodie.

Really a pleasant surprise, this wound up being my favorite at KD (with Pantherian down). Flight of Fear is an almost unbelievably cleverly designed rollercoaster- on its face it looks like a mediocre launched coaster slapped with a nicely themed station but which mostly takes place in a low-light (but not super dark) warehouse. The light is the key, though- the launch shoots you into a pitch-black tunnel which makes it feel way faster than it actually is. The track twists over itself in the darkness of the warehouse such that it's difficult to tell what the next element is going to be and it transitions rapidly from disorienting repeated inversions to surprisingly fast low-to-the-ground turns. Even the super strong midcourse brakes feel like they add to the overall experience since they're just kinda unexpected. There's one bit that during the repeat inversions where I always have trouble telling for a moment or two whether I'm actually upside down. It's not the *most* intense or exciting but it's immaculately crafted, super fun and extremely re-rideable. (PS: during Halloween stuff the ride was completely empty because it's in a back corner of the park and indoors so if you want to really easily marathon it you have a good opportunity to do it then).

Probably my favorite B&M floorless so far but that's not saying too much. Far less headbanging than its contemporaries but there's still quite a bit in a way that feels wholly unnecessary for a ride that's not actually all that intense since it's mostly slow, sweeping inversions. Pretty fun though.

I remember being a kid and being SO excited for this ride to open. I watched all of the promotional material and somehow never quite figured out what it really was... immediately after you leave the lift hill and see the first piece of "theming" (walls floating in space to either side of you but strangely far away with, uh, the words "ha ha ha" written on them) I knew it was going to be awful. Seconds later we hit the first hairpin turn and I immediately knew, to my immense disappointment, that this was just a wild mouse stuck indoors with some truly abysmal theming. The thing that elevates it to a sort of avant-garde excellence is how comically unconducive a wild mouse is to theming, so all of the set pieces (which do sort of exist) are 10 feet above you and 90 degrees to the side- if you crane your neck all over the place you'll realize there's actually stuff to see but it's impossible to notice riding it, well, normally. With one exception- that is: there's one point where you head directly towards a piece of scenery which is well-lit and entirely visible. It's some barrels. Some weirdly prominently-displayed well-lit barrels. It hits like a punchline. The wild mouse is such a snappy, zippy, quick type of coaster, I can't imagine a worse foundation. For the sheer disappointment I suffered as a kid I have to give this 0.5 stars but i think it holds some value if, like me, you have the proclivity to ride a rollercoaster "ironically."

I did ride on a colder day after some downtime so it may have been running slow. Getting to do the first drop twice is awesome, though.

Very forceful, made terrible exclusively by awful restraints that focus every ounce of force from the coaster right on your thighs. I can see why people love Skyrush; if it's not physically painful to ride it has a lot going for it and really whips you around in a great way. Worth riding to try out and see if it hurts too much to be worth it at the very least.
