Goldrusher is 100% my guilty-pleasure at Magic Mountain. I have a soft spot for simple family coasters and this absolutely fits that bill. The ride is a fantastic tour of the mountain, Full Throttle, and Superman (RIP). Otherwise, the ride doesn't do much other than give some decent laterals, still a fun ride that I would recommend simply because it's fun. :)

Ride it at night! Goldrusher is what it is. Good for one ride on our typical visit to SFMM. But I added half a star as I recently took a night ride at Fright Fest. There are portions of this ride that are pitch black at night. It's darker than Space Mountain at times. It will give you a whole new take on this classic coaster.

Worth riding for the cool location alone. It's got a bit more kick to it than most of the Arrow mine trains from that era, but the transitions are jerky as hell and the layout feels like it doesn't quite take full advantage of being up on that hill.

I really don't understand all the low ratings on this ride. It was built as a fun thrilling attraction for all and it does just that. Really fun winding layout across the hills of Magic Mountain, taking its riders on a tour around the park. It even has a strong pop of airtime as it enters the brakes. My one complaint with the ride is the smoothness and transitions, it is a very old arrow and one of their first, so its completely understandable. It did give me a bruise one time, so that experience wasn't very good, but overall its a fun ride for all riders and a nice introduction to much more thrilling roller coasters.

De plus, son layout original avec les 2 lifts rajoutent de l'intérêt. Quelques G positifs et même des airtimes surprenant venant d'une machine comme celle-ci. Il utilise aussi plutôt bien le terrain, ce qui donne un petit effet de théma plus que faible dans ce parc

I was really hoping for a pleasant and scenic ride through the woods on this one, but unfortunately it's so slow and rickety that any fun to be had from the scenery is sapped from the ride. I wish this ride were longer, more exciting, and smoother, but through the same area on the hill.

I get Gold Rusher is an old coaster and everything, but God it was so bad. The layout itself is not bad, but this coaster was built in 1971 and it shows: it's rough, especially many transitions and also some curves, and you will be glad when it's over.

This classic Arrow mine train is situated on the main hill, and weaves around several of the other attractions. Because this is one of the original coasters, other rides such as Superman and Full Throttle were built on top of it, providing some fun interaction. Though the ride layout is mostly tame, the first drop and the helix at the end are good elements with decent forces. The main downside is the rattle, but that can be expected from a 50 year old coaster. While there are better family rides in the park, Gold Rusher doesn't seem to be taking up any valuable space, so it will probably stay put until the end of its service life.

Magic Mountain's first coaster (operating since opening day, May 29, 1971), Gold Rusher offers a scenic ride around Magic Mountain, offering rare looks at a great deal of the rides you know and love. The relatively chill rides still offers some fun from some great near-miss elements from the foliage and ride infrastructure, in addition to some nice lateral Gs. Just two things to keep in mind: the brake run at the end is more sudden than you would think, and can cause you to get punched in the stomach by the lap bar if you're not paying attention. More importantly, one of the near miss elements has you going right under Superman: Escape from Krypton's track; while the element itself is fine, there's a chance that Superman might launch while you're going through. Be ready to cover your ears if you get unlucky enough for that to happen to you, lest you wish to subject your ears to being mere feet from the loudest coaster in the world.

(merci de mettre des traverses en bois sur les mine train , car rails jaune sans traverse ça fait pas trés "mine").
