This B&M flourless coaster isn’t as bad as others say in my opinion. When I rode in the back row, I felt a bit of weightlessness on the first drop. The inversions are pretty forceful, like the inclined loop, and they make your legs tingle. However, it has some head banging, and a bit of a rattle. 7.5/10

Rougarou wasn't as bad as some people say it is, but it doesn't quite make the top tier for me. The inversions are nice. It tracks OKish, but there is definitely some shuffling. There are several near-headbang elements and an actual headbang (at least in the back, the only place I rode). I didn't find that too unpleasant, but as a stand-up, it would have been a real headbanger.

First ride on this since it was converted from Mantis, and it's even more rough than it used to be. They traded terrible groin pain for horrible head pain. Not sure if it's just because of my height (5'7") as my taller friend didn't have nearly as rough of a ride, but every single element of this coaster after the first loop caused me to violently slam into the restraints. I felt like I had Muhammad Ali on my left and Sugar Ray on my right just going absolute ape shit on my ears. It was the only ride of the ~70 or so I did on my most recent coaster road trip that truly left me in pain afterwards. It's a shame, because the first drop and loop are excellent and the rest of the layout is solid, it was just too painful for me to rate any higher

There are some inversions that are somewhat intense. There are several moments that try to be forceful, but they don’t do anything. This also was pretty shaky in an inside seat. It’s there, but it’s not really meaningful.

Eh. Rougarou is kinda fun, but completely forgettable. Some good forces and inversions in the first half, but nothing particularly memorable. The second half after the mid-course does absolutely nothing but meander around. The rattle is enough to be a bit annoying but it's not overwhelming. Cedar Point definitely made the right call to convert it to a floorless, and it's not a bad ride by any means, but it's by no means essential. Do it once for the credit, twice if this has a short line on a packed day. You're not really missing out on much.

The ride looks nice and has a good color scheme. The layout is great and only starts to let up a bit towards the end. All in all, Rougarou is a great ride.

Given how many of these I have ridden at this point, nothing about Rougarou really stood out to me, but I think it fills an important spot in Cedar Point's lineup. It has good intensity and a lot of inversions, but besides that it wasn't anything special. 7.5/10 - I love stand-ups so I would have preferred to ride Mantis honestly

Rougarou hit pretty hard for me. It was a much more dynamic ride than reviews would have suggested. I wasn't quite ready for its intensity and actually enjoyed this pleasant surprise quite a bit. Maybe it was my outside seat in the back that made the difference? I honestly don't know. But it had a seemingly unlimited combo of inversions and felt extremely forceful. The walkway across the moat was a nice touch as well...everything on the walkway moved just a little too much to feel comfortable - I loved this. Rougourou deserves a lot more love than it receives...

"Comfort" is only used compared to Mantis. Mantis with the stand up trains hurt the whole time, even if the layout wasn't bad. The floorless trains give a decent improvement, going from pretty bad to decent. It's rough, particularly on the corkscrew. There's other moments with headbanging as well, so it isn't a complete improvement. The layout itself is just like a floorless layout, just with a few changes including a non-inverted loop. That inversion isn't that bad, not anything noteworthy though. The biggest difference is that there isn't a zero-g roll, with most of the time is the best element on a floorless coaster. Now, it doesn't really have a standout element. It would be a better coaster at most parks, but at Cedar Point it just becomes irrelevant.

To begin with, while I love coasters, I have some pretty picky preferences. Unfortunately, for the most part, Rougarou fails. The main problem is the layout. Except for the final corkscrew (which is solidly snappy), the inversions are taken at JUST the wrong speed, neither fast nor slow enough to give many forces. However, the biggest offense are the fast transitions that occur during the middle of the ride. As opposed to the inversions, which are too tame, these are too INTENSE. Even with B&M’s signature graceful profiling, transitions like this on a ride with OTSR’s are a recipe for some serious headbanging. One major pro I will give though is the first drop, which is one of my favorites on a looping coaster. After the pre-drop, you do a 180 to the right, but unlike on many loopers, the drop is straight, and you unbank as you crest it, giving some very nice floater air-time that transitions from sideways to straight up. Apart from that, though, this ride sucks pretty bad. If you don’t go to Cedar Point that often (just like me, unfortunately), prioritize just about any other ride than this.

When i got off the ride and walked to the exit I saw people walking off the ride with bigger bags then mine. Terrible staff. Fix ur park cedar point.

Why is it that everyone thinks that this is the worst coaster at Cedar Point!? Just, I honestly don't get it. Rougarou isn't the best coaster at Cedar Point, but I still think it's very underrated and quite good, especially after my last ride on it. Unlike Raptor of Valravn, this ride is quite smooth and intense. I feel as if this ride's days are numbered since everyone hates it, so I guess I'll get my last rides on it.
