I can tell you when you need to give up on a coaster, and I don't think Gemini's quite there yet. It still plays its role at the Coaster Capital of the world extremely well, being the out-of-the-way capacity monster that is always open for a fun time. You never need more than one ride, but there's always time for one good duel.

The racing feel it gives is iconic and nostalgic, and it stands through the test of time and continues to be an icon to this day.

This awesome racing coaster is so fun! It has a slow lift that gives great views of CP. It has some great turn arounds where you can high five the other train. There is a tiny bit of airtime on some hills. But just brace yourself for the helix finale because you get slammed into the side of the train of someone else.

WOW! I went in expecting nothing from this ride and I was absolutely blown away! The drops have fantastic airtime, the entire ride is glass smooth, the slow turns are a great opportunity to high-five people in the other train, the hills all have this heavenly flojector, the trains are really well padded actually, and the helix at the end is VERY intense! This is one of the best rides in the park and I prefer it over Magnum and Top Thrill Dragster.

The layout definitely feels like a wood coaster, but it obviously tracks a bit better considering the steel track. There are a few janky moments (of course, given that it is an Arrow), but overall it is smoother than most mine trains. This side (blue) might also be a bit less janky than red, but that may also be my imagination. There are a few moments of good floater airtime, which surprised me given that it is an Arrow but perhaps shouldn't have considering how it is apparently designed to be like a woody. The racing definitely makes it more fun. This is the first coaster I've ridden where people can high-five each other between trains, but sadly I was on the wrong side of the train to be able to do that.

If I were to choose a ride to blow up it'd be this one. The coolest part is being able to reach out and give a high five to the cars next to you. That's about it though. Rickety. Old. Not particularly...

This side was down for 2 of my 3 days this last visit, so I guess I can’t say anything about it without the racing feature. It might not be as janky (my memory is more from the red side so who knows), but it still has some pretty bad profiling. The turnarounds aren’t boring while racing unless one side is way ahead of the other. When it’s not, it’s the perfect time to high five people on the other side. There are those weird airtime moments on both sides. Because this side wins most of the time and I’ve had a better experience, it’s the better side for me.

I always love a racing coaster, so I figured I would have a good time with Gemini. I was shocked that the ride was actually as good as it was. The airtime in the back was surprisingly strong, and pretty comparable to most seats on Magnum (with one obvious exception). Interaction with the other train is really where racing coasters get to shine, and Gemini excels with those iconic "high-five" moments. It might not be the smartest idea, but no one can resist doing it on those turnarounds. This ride is certainly worth your time, even at a park with as crazy of a coaster lineup as Cedar Point. 8/10 - those brakes hit the hardest of any ride I've been on

Really easy to get on. But generally speaking, this ride didn't do it for me. The racing element added a little bit to an otherwise dull experience. I rode this in between riding Maverick and Steel Vengeance, so it understandably felt a bit pedestrian. But I think this just might be a boring wooden roller-coaster.

I rode this in 1979 when it was brand new and was one of the biggest and fastest coasters in the world. I bragged to all of my childhood friends about "surviving" it. It still holds up well four decades later. (Am I really that old?) Yeah, it's gotten a bit more shaky, but I still enjoy this classic.

On ne sait réellement pas quel train va arriver le premier, et comme il n'est pas aux normes d'aujourd'hui, on peut toper la main des ridders du train rouge !!!! Les virages sont un peu longs et lents.

Gemini isn't really as extreme as some of Cedar Point's other rides, plus it's quite outdated. However, that doesn't stop me from having PLENTY of fun on this coaster. When the ride is barely warming up, the ride isn't really that great I'll admit. But once the ride fully warms up, it goes from meh, to wow. The hills offer very fun airtime, the smoothness of the actual ride makes it even more fun, and best of all, the racing gimmick makes this ride for me. Gemini isn't perfect, as the final helix is a bit jerky, and like Magnum, its lap bars are very floppy, but that doesn't stop me from having fun! Overall, Gemini is a very fun ride that surprises me every time I ride it.

Gemini is a very fun ride. It doesn't really do anything exceptionally well. The racing aspect is fun, and serves to make the dead spots in the layout more fun. It's not a standout coaster by any means, but it holds up well and you should ride it if you're at Cedar Point.
