Ejectors Headbanging Discomfort
I used to love this ride. In 2010, we rode this 13 times in one day. It was our go-to coaster because it often had short lines while there were long waits elsewhere. It had slight shaking, but nothing that was uncomfortable. By 2018, we did only two rides and no longer enjoyed it because it had become so shaky. Sadly, this went from one of my favorite coasters to one that causes me pain. It's just not fun being thrown from side to side and having the lap bar punish your thighs on the bunny hills at the end.

Airtimes Ejectors
Some of my fondest early memories of riding coasters was marathoning this ride with my brother when we were younger and too scared to ride TTD and the likes too much. The janky airtime hills are fantastic and just silly fun. Love the history as well.

Location Discomfort Lap Bar
The airtime on this ride was unbearable for me. Constantly slamming you into that horrible lap bar! The best solution in my opinion is to give this coaster Morgan trains then it'll be somewhat enjoyable. 5.7/10

Airtimes Location Rattle
I almost guarantee that this ride would be in my top 10 if I rerode it today, but I can only judge it of my one ride in 2018. I was just becoming an enthusiast back then, and my tolerance for roughness was much lower back then. I do remember the incredible view, and some great airtime, but until I can get a reride, it's one of my lower ranked coasters.

Discomfort Tear it down! Dead spots
I haven't hated a roller coaster this much since Skyrush. This ride is a slow, boring, painful, rough piece of garbage. The ride spends the first half doing nothing, except slamming you around on that joke of a turnaround, and the second half treats you like a ragdoll, slamming you into your hardly padded restraint over and over again. There is nothing enjoyable about this ride.

Airtimes Lap Bar Ejectors Layout
This is one heck of a coaster! Every hill gives powerful ejector airtime and the lap bars feel really open, allowing plenty of room for airtime. My favorite part of the ride is the finale with the triangle hills, because of how violent the airtime is! The best seat on this ride is by far the back row, but the magic seat being row 3 also slaps! Despite the layout being a little bland, Magnum XL 200 is a powerhouse and is truly one of the best hyper coasters out there!

Airtimes Discomfort Lap Bar
Airtime is so violent, but the lap bar is so crappy, that it hurts. Maybe it should get new trains where the lap bar doesn't staple your thighs...
-
Airtimes Capacity Location Disappointing! Discomfort Lap Bar
Magnum is the king of an inconsistent ride. Uncomfortable, rough, but can give an ok ride at times. So I say ride it yourself before you judge it. But as for me I'm not the biggest fan, and mainly respect it for his it's historical value.

First Drop Layout Ejectors Discomfort
This ride may still be iconic, but it’s sadly not aged too well with it’s roughness.

As much as I love my triangle airtime hills, really nothing else about magnum is that good in my opinion

I got a lot of airtime on this

Don't listen to haters, this thing doesn't really hurt except for the trim brake. I was laughing on this lol.

Airtimes Location Ejectors Dead spots Lap Bar
This ride, even after 30 years of operations, manages to be one of the greatest hyper coasters I've ridden. The ejector airtime is absolutley amazing and is better than on some RMCs even. The only complaint is that there are some dead spots and the lap bar isn't the best but overall it's an absolutely incredible ride

Harness Discomfort Airtimes
Airtime has never been more painful. Easily the worst hyper coaster I've ridden.

Airtimes Masterpiece Ejectors
My favorite coaster on the planet when I first rode it in 2004. After 2 subsequent visits in 2015 and 2018, and even after having ridden over 100 other coasters, nothing has changed that. To me it is as good as it gets. Sure, it isn't liquid smooth like some modern coasters, but I think that is what makes it so great. That rattling and shaking ups the intensity vastly. The first drop is spectacular, the second, decent. The turn around suspended way up in the air on the supports is fabulous. Then, and oh boy, THEN, the return trip back to the station. That is where this thing earns its money. The airtime hills are truly the best there are anywhere--in the right seat. It is way better than decent in any seat, but get it right and it is pure ejection city. To me this is coaster perfection and still my favorite coaster I have ever ridden.

First Drop Intensity Ejectors Rattle Discomfort
It's a bit rough, but it's still a must ride in the park due to its historical value. It also has a pretty great first drop and awesome ejector moments. I love the 80s space/futuristic vibe. It's almost always a walk on, so you can just marathon it.
-
Magnum is absolutely incredible and very underrated. The airtime is very extreme, especially on the return section. I really don't remember it being rough or painful either. In my opinion this is a top 3 coaster at Cedar Point, and sometimes I can't decide between this and Steel Vengeance.
-
So fun!! It's super rough. It gave my friend black and blue thighs

Airtimes Capacity Location Discomfort
Absolutely phenomenal ride which never has a line. A bit rough, but not to the point of it being painful. The airtime will slam you into your lap bar though so be prepared for that, especially in the "magic seat" (car 1 row 3).

Airtimes First Drop Masterpiece
Magnum is an absolute treasure. I have this in front of Intimidator 305, Gate Keeper, Raptor, and it's neighbor Top Thrill Dragster. Some of it maybe it's history as a trailblazer for the industry (this coaster started the coaster wars) and my childhood, but still, this is a one of a kind world class roller coaster and it's a tragedy it's not a Top 100 coaster here. The first drop is strong, the intensity is visceral, and the ejector airtime is incredible... Now granted, you can't go into this ride expecting Fury 325 or even Millennium Force. It'll probably rough you up a little bit, and getting stapled can be especially brutal. You need to remember that this is a 40 year old Arrow, sit up in the seat a smidge, and be amazed.

Just amazing. My favorite traditional hyper. It hurts a little, but doesn’t take away from the experience that much.

Airtimes Location Ejectors Disappointing!
I wasn't disappointed when I first rode this because I was transitioning into an enthusiast and I didn't know too much about Magnum but I'd call it overrated. If that was an option I'd definitely choose it. Even though it has been overrated recently, it's still a great ride with painful airtime. (which is a good thing when it comes to airtime)

Lap Bar Location Ejectors Discomfort
Though it is janky in some parts of the first half, no coaster makes me giggle quite like Magnum. A beautiful beachside location is a great backdrop for floater airtime and loud tunnels before the famous final act. The triangle airtime is so sharp that it's painful, but the simple lap bars soften the blow. Magnum is such a fun coaster, seemingly on accident, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Airtimes Lap Bar Ejectors Discomfort Dead spots
The fact that this uses a mine train chassis and opened with skid pad upstops genuinley scares me, balls to the wall bareback violent ejector on triangular hills, riding with one click is a spiritual experience and a must do for any enthusiast worth thier salt, untrimmed is when it becomes genuinely scary.

Strongest airtime ever. My legs hurt for the next day. I love it.

Masterpiece Intensity Ejectors Discomfort
Unforgiving, uncompromising, and unforgettable, Magnum still manages to blow minds more than 30 hears after its opening. The rough Arrow Dynamics-jank we've all come to expect at this point can be argued to be a positive on this ride; while it may make some of the transitions a bit awkward and uncomfortable, it also gives us truly insane ejector airtime that simply never lets up throughout the entire ride. The aggression this ride displays when traversing the elements on this ride is something I wish Millennium Force had a bit more of.

Location Masterpiece Ejectors
Magnum XL-200 is the best steel coaster ever created. Ride it in 1-3 for the most powerful ejector air of all time.
-
Brutal, fast, thigh bruising and giggle inducing. This ride is definitely one for masochists, but happens to be an awful lot of fun. Final ride of our last visit went to Magnum. It is of course an utterly obsolete design, but the character flaws are what make this thing work it's magic. The first hyper, and easily the best of the Arrow's. Long may it continue.
-
Airtimes Location Smoothness
The OG Hyper. This massive arrow is very good. There are some great airtime moments throughout and it’s layout right up against Lake Eerie is really awesome. The coaster is surprisingly smooth for an older Arrow as well. The only reason I don’t rank it higher is because of the lackluster layout but you can’t expect too much from considering it was the first of its kind.

Location Intensity Ejectors Discomfort Dead spots Lap Bar
She's tall, she's fast, she's reasonably smooth - until you get to the jank transition into the turnaround and remember that pre-CAD Arrow built this ride. The triangular airtime hills give great ejector, but the transitions are nowhere near smooth and the lapbar is quite uncomfortable even when bracing. Maybe a Morgan retracking or new B&M trains would make this a great ride, but for now, I just lament that Schwarzkopf and Stengel couldn't have designed and built it instead.
-
7.8 out of 10!. My first ever on 200 feet coaster. I think the trains just need to be updated, as I think it slows it down.

Airtimes First Drop Duration Rattle Discomfort Reliability
Magnum XL-200 was the first hyper coaster ever made. In other words, the first coaster to reach past 200 feet tall. It opened decades ago in the 70’s and it’s tracks have not been replaced yet, not like Kennywood’s legendary airtime coaster Phantom’s Revenge. Because of its elderly state, this ride will try to throw you out of its seats like your bull riding. It’s very rough, but not as rough as Blue Streak. It’s speed will make your legs bang around and your neck and back will get a few beatings while riding. This thing just doesn't stop dropping because of its intense hills and incredible speeds. I do like the drop and the tunnels that it travels through on the way back, but it is a rattling and rough experience.

Airtimes Fun Discomfort
I have grown to love this roller coaster. Sure it is rough but it isn't too bad, it's still tolerable. This is definitely at least a top 25, but since my coaster count is still somewhat low it is a top 15 as of now.
-
Masterpiece Discomfort
Overrrated! All Arrow hypercoasters have some strangely bent tracks and are overall not very comfortable to ride. This started the "Coaster Wars" back then, where every park wanted to have the highest roller coaster. Didn't stand the test of time very well. I prefer the Morgan hypercoasters.
