WOW! Unfortunately, while I was at Dollywood, Lightning Rod was closed the entire time, so I didn't get to ride it. However, Thunderhead was open and EASILY my favorite of all the others in the park. It rides like a wooden coaster, but it's way smoother than every other wooden coaster I've ridden while still feeling like out-of-control madness. Plus, that station fly-by is fantastic. Excellent ride overall that was only overshadowed by my NIGHT RIDES on Thunderhead. Which elevated it even more. Such a fantastic coaster. I wasn't sure I really loved wooden coasters until I rode this one.

Mystery Mine is a weird mixture of superb theming, great coaster elements, and BRACE YOURSELF discomfort. Unlike some rides, I do think the discomfort is worth it on this one, but you won't find me marathoning this coaster any time soon.

THIS is an Arrow looper?? I went on expecting to be beaten to death. Instead, I had a great time. Of all the Arrows I've ridden so far (17), this is the very best (except for you, X2). The first drop is a lot of fun, and the short, but action-packed layout, is a great time. This is such a well-designed and well taken care of Arrow!

I went on this expecting a Phoenix Rising type of ride. And it's very similar in many ways (and smooth), but this one actually has forces. PR is pretty forceless overall. This one packs a few moments in that remind you that this is an inverted coaster. The first drop (for a family coaster) is great as well. It's short and has bad capacity, but this one surprised me.

Big Bear Mountain is just SO re-ridable. It's a lot of fun, has some great launches, comfortable trains/restraints, nice theming, and is just so smooth and easy to ride. I watched 6yr olds get on this, looking terrified and coming off it shouting, "Let's ride it again!" And just as many adults saying the same thing. Easily one of the best family coasters in the world (that I've ridden).

Here's the deal. This thing is like EVERYone's favorite/top coaster. It's hyped to death. So you have to ask yourself, is there a reason for that? I visited CP for the first time with the goal of making Steel Vegeance the 100th coaster I've ridden this year so far. My very first ride was in the back row at night. And let me just say this. This is IT. You have arrived. This is an RMC masterpiece. It's long, it's fast, it keeps you guessing, and it constantly tries to yeet you out of your seat. Half this thing is inside its own structure. Because of that (especially at night), you have no clue what's coming next. Oh, a barrel roll? Great, I'll just lean into it. SNAP. We're going the other direction. It's full of little tricks like that. I was really worried about this being overhyped for me. I am quite happy to say that the worry was unfounded.

If I could describe Maverick in one word, it would be AGGRESSIVE. My very first ever ride on Maverick was at night. And WHAT A RIDE. I was deeply unprepared for what was in store for me. I was laughing maniacally the entire ride out of sheer surprise. You have no idea what is coming next. The whips and change in direction are incredible. But the star of the show is that second launch. Especially at night, nothing can prepare you for a 0 to 70 in 3 seconds launch that IMMEDIATELY banks you left with a SNAP. Intamin was absolutely diabolical for that. Loved Maverick so much. My only criticism is that at 6'5", the shoulder harness hurts something awful after multiple rides.

WHAT A MACHINE. After getting off this absolute masterpiece of a coaster for the first time, you just have a buzz all over your body. The three launches that build on each other. That great top hat with a view of Lake Erie and the park. And that spike! That spike is the real show stealer. You zoom 400ft up backwards, going 100mph, and the Earth just shrinks below you. Then you hang there for what feels like a long time before zooming past a head chopper on your way to 120mph. I think this coaster is really hard to rank and classify because it's such a wildly different experience than all the other coasters at CP. Incredible!

The Gemini logo, the look of the station, and the trains are just beautiful. However, when I rode, only the red train was running. As a standalone coaster, this was not a great time. Really bummed I didn't get to high-five people or race. I am sure it would rank much higher if I did!

Coaster #100 for me. I was going to make it Steel Vengeance, but when I saw that ZDT was closing its doors forever very soon, I had to make the drive before I missed the chance. Super fun and unique little coaster. Tiny, but great first drop. Neat trains. Really zippy layout. The spike was good fun too, and very out of the ordinary for a woodie. Definitely on the very bumpy side... but more "fun bumpy" than "hurt me bumpy."

Overhated. I just rode for the first time at what I assume is the roughest and worst condition it's ever been in (since it closes forever in 1.5 months), and I had a great time. Yes, it's on the rougher side... but compared to actually rough coasters (looking at you woodies), this is nothing. The music adds a super fun component to the ride and the coaster itself has enjoyable elements (love that non-inverting loop). So glad I got to ride it before it's gone forever!
