Wow, Gerstlauer really built a great ride here. This is no boring kids ride. For a family coaster it is surprisingly intense with quick transitions, airtime and a good first launch. The theming is top notch and the layout has a good length. Also its glass smooth!

The first half of the coaster was pretty good: get a great view of the city, nice long drops. But then as the inversions come, it gets really rough and your head gets bumped on those restraints, some transitions are awful (like that enter to the dive loop). Also the ride is pretty long and you exit with a headache for which you paid 14$. Thrill: 3.75/5

I expected a bit more and ended up liking Van Helsing much more. There are some great moments, like the Tornado room, the town room and the King Kong scene. Though the ride is over very quick and its missing some intensity. Also those cars are very uncomfortable and even as a short person you need to cross your legs to cramp them in the car

Even though SLCs are infamous in their reputation, I actually enjoyed this one. It wasnt that bad. I dont understand how you all rate it so far lower than Bandit, which I thought was worse. I rode it on halloween night which was a lot of fun. One hint: sit in the first half of the train, it rattles less

I got on this ride knowing from many sources that its very rough, so I was kinda prepared. Its not as rough as many say but its layout is also a bit lacking: the drops are shallow, long drawn out curves etc. nothing interesting besides the roughness

The waiting area is nice themed and the layout of the coaster is not too bad with the swing launch and the following inversions. Its a bit short though. Fun fact: on my ride a guy a few rows ahead of me lost a plastic bottle which went flying on the spike of the swing launch

Come on, why you hate all on this ride? I thought it was pretty fun. The cage like vehicle is cool and vintage sketchy, the vertical lift in that tube is unique and those dips at the end throw you around a bit but its not uncomfortable. Its a nice vintage ride that should be preserved.
