    Harness Discomfort

The Vekoma Flying Dutchmen are... ok. I'm not a fan of the flying position overall, the restraint system of the Vekomas causes long loading/unloading times and they all lack the Pretzel loop (which is the only thing a flying coaster is worth for).

    Airtimes First Drop

Floater airtime abound on this more recent B&M Hyper.

    Headbanging

The coaster looks good with the corkscrew over the pathway. For an Arrow looper it also rides ok.

    Capacity Intensity Intensity

Quite intense B&M inverter - which, like all others of its kind, has only four good seats in the whole train. No airtime.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Airtimes First Drop Comfort

The current epitome of B&M Hypercoaster designs (which is in fact a Gigacoaster). Besides its high speed and its mind-boggling size, it also has some surprises, like twisty turns and near-miss effects. If you love B&M Hypers (Silverstar, Shambhala etc.) this is the best thing to ride for you.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Comfort Smoothness

A B&M wing coaster with a layout which resembles more the layouts of their classic floorless or sit-down coasters. Nice views.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Smoothness

Surprisingly smooth Arrow coaster, an early Alan Schilke design before the company went bankrupt.

    Nice surprise!

This is a different beast compared to your standard Gerstlauer Eurofighter - I call it the 'small Fluch von Novgorod'. In contrast to its cousins, you often don't see what's ahead on the track, which adds a lot of surprising moves to the ride.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Nice surprise!

Not very intense family coaster with a few surprises during the ride.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Pace Intensity

GCI coasters don't get better than this. A wild 'out-of-control' ride from the beginning to the end. Has the first station fly-through ever built.

    Location Intensity Ejectors Harness

What a wild and intense ride! Love the "launched" lift hill, the pre-drop and the following "first drop". The rest of the layout hugs the terrain and was a little bit too hectic for my tastes (especially the quadruple down wasn't as fun as I expected - you are thrown against the restraints four times in a row). After riding Wildfire in Kolmarden, I also wish they had added an inversion or two, because RMC inversions are exceptionally great. But still, one of the best coasters I have ever ridden.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Nice surprise!

The indoor theming area begins to show its age. But the two Winja coasters are quite fun to ride, each with their own little trick.

    Pointless

This is one of the most uninteresting indoor coasters I have ever ridden.

    Theming Launch Masterpiece

So, Intamin finally manged to create seats which are not uncomfortable - still not on par with the Mack seats, but a good step forward. Phantasialand has created a mind-boggling setting called 'Klugheim' for this ride and the coaster is indeed roaring through the buildings and pseudo-stones. Especially the second launch is great - the rest of the layout is very repetitive. I don't say this often, but an inversion would have been a nice distraction from all the twists and turnarounds during the course.

  • Heiko Hartmann

Well, Junior Boomerangs are ok. This scores with the Klugheim setting build around it.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Fun

This tries to emulate Big Thunder Mountain in Paris and it gets close ... but does no reach the Disney original (which has still a lot more detail and theming). Comparable to Calamity Mine in Walibi Belgium.

    Theming Inversions Intensity Intensity

Absolutely great setting for the B&M inverter - which seems to hurl and burrow through the ground. Lots of near-miss effects. Unfortunately, for me, the coaster is a little bit too intense.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Nice surprise!

I actually preferred this over the original Eurosat in Europa Park. Theming in the queue line could have been a little bit better.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Smoothness

    The smoothest Wild Mouse ever?

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Airtimes Comfort Masterpiece

A copy of the Intamin Mega-Lite layout, but with the added comfort of the Mack seats. The layout is great, the smoothness is superb, one of the best roller coasters in Europe.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Launch Intensity Discomfort

This packs some punch - and is a little bit to nauseating during its course.

  • Heiko Hartmann

Let's see if the retracking solves the problem that this coaster was a little bit too uncomfortable at times.

  • Heiko Hartmann

For a family coaster this is quite good (better than the Vekoma Junior Coasters).

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Theming

More a darkride than a coaster. The ride through the big hall is nice and some theming stations are good (but not all of them are top).

  • Heiko Hartmann

The VR option is good on this ride.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Theming Location Headbanging

The two towers, the radial lift hill, the music - all great. But the ride is very uncomfortable during its second half. The later models of this coaster type like Dwervelwind were much better.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Inversions Intensity Theming Intensity

Still not a fan of inverters (even if they come from B&M) - which have only four good seats on the whole train. This one uses the layout of the Raptor from Cedar Point and is quite intense. Operations and the non-exisiting theming are bad. Fans of B&M inverters rate this high, but I think in Europe Katun, Oz'Iris, Black Mamba, Nemesis and even Batman La Fuga (in Parque Warner Madrid) are better ones.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Capacity

For a Vekoma of this type, this is surprisingly smooth to ride.

  • Heiko Hartmann

    Capacity Disappointing! Pointless

After the retracking, the comfort is ok for a woodie. Unfortunately the train is way too slow, creeping over some hills. No airtime.
