    Theming Smoothness Discomfort

Riddler's Revenge is decent. The ride looks quite imposing at the back of the park, serving a huge centerpiece for all to see. The ride has pretty decent theming for a Six Flags park, featuring decorative buildings and a nice station. The ride is quite smooth, however the ride is so uncomfortable around my feet. After the midcourse, the pain died down and I could enjoy the rest of the ride with no discomfort and it was fine, I even somewhat liked it. But that first half was not a fun experience for me.

    Inversions Fun Dead spots

Revolution is good. The ride is pretty fun and the vertical loop has good intensity. There are dead spots and the ride is pretty boring overall, but when I had considered the history of this ride, I had to rank it higher.

    Airtimes Fun Layout Discomfort

Twisted Colossus is a great ride. However, people overrate this thing a LOT. The ride has great airtime everywhere and every element pops but some elements like the green side high-five can be awkward and frankly uncomfortable. The ride also doesn't duel as much as designed to, proving to make a relatively less interesting ride experience than if it did duel more. This ride is definitely overrated, but it's still fun and one of the top coasters at Magic Mountain.

First Drop Fun Disappointing! Discomfort Dead spots

X2 is good. Although I was expecting an insane ride that would literally annihilate me, and got a tame ride with fun flips I still think the flipping and imposing looks alone make this one of the most intriguing coasters in the world.

    Launch Masterpiece Intensity

Xcelerator is AMAZING!! It has a dominating presence on the midway with it's tall tophat. Once you board the train, you'll notice the fantastic seats and restraints, the seats are quite comfortable and well equipped for the insanity you're about to experience, additionally, you have the amazing T-BAR restraint which is so minimal I honestly forget it's there. The ride begins with an INSANE launch out of the station, after, you enter the fantastic airtime filled tophat, receiving FANTASTIC lateral ejector on the way down! You then enter a tight pullout into an insane overbank, which is shockingly intense, you then transition, into a second, fantastically whippy overbank into brakes so intense, I genuinely consider them a ride element. Xcelerator is fast, smooth, whippy, intense, airtime-filled; frankly, there's so many pros to this ride I can't even list them all! Which is why Xcelerator is the best coaster I have ever ridden! :D

First Drop Intensity Ejectors Rattle Capacity

HangTime is a great ride. The coaster mixes in great airtime, with fun intensity, hangtime, and inversions, the only issues I have is that it can be somewhat rough, especially on the corkscrew, this ride has pretty low capacity as well, making a pretty long wait. Otherwise, this a very well done ride.

  • Zach N.

    Airtimes Intensity Layout

Silver Bullet is a great ride. The coaster starts off somewhat poorly with that first drop, it's not as bad as people say it is; but it is no doubt the worst element on the ride. After that, you go into 6 fantastic inversions bringing crazy positives, the ride also throws in some airtime for good measure. Very great B&M invert!

  • Zach N.

    Launch Fun

Pony Express is good. It has a decent launch with otherwise, good elements. It's just a family coaster, which is why it doesn't rank as high as other rides (Obviously). But it's a good ride.

  • Zach N.

    Airtimes Fun Layout Capacity

GhostRider is AMAZING!! The ride is filled with fantastic airtime moments, throwing insane laterals into the mix; that final helix is so crazy. The drop off the midcourse brakes is also fantastic. If there is one complaint, it is that this coaster's capacity is AWFUL. I've never seen the ride under a 90 minute wait which is absolutely ridiculous. Besides that huge issue; this is a fantastic ride. :)

    Launch Fun

This coaster is awesome, the launch is exceptional and it's kind of upsetting to me that it's not being preserved, the first loop was pretty intense and the first spike was the only "dull" part of the ride to me. After going through the same intense loop again you speed down the launch and go full speed into that back spike. Even though nothing is happening during this straight segment, the speed and pacing of the ride at that point just makes it so fun. Then you speed all the way up that back spike, this is my favorite part of the ride, I love just taking in the view and waving to people on the ground. I'm very sad that this coaster isn't being preserved better, but hopefully the 2023 MonteZOOMa: The Forbidden Fortress is as good or even better than this version.

    Inversions Nice surprise! Intensity Discomfort

Boomerangs are very overhated, this was a good ride.

  • Zach N.

    Nice surprise! Intensity

Much more intense then I was expecting, quite a fun ride, honestly.

  • Zach N.

    Fun

Very fun, very smooth, worth the ride if you're at the park.

First Drop Inversions Intensity Harness Disappointing! Discomfort

This ride is very good however it is extremely painful on the shoulders. You really pay the price for that intensity.

  • Zach N.

    Inversions Headbanging

This ride is very strange for sure. The ride is basically a tour of the hotel.. for 20 bucks. In all seriousness though, the ride was ridiculously rough, but honestly, I didn't mind it. The new trains probably caused a major improvement. Most of the ride however is just slow rises above the hotel. There is one thing keeping me from ranking it lower, literally one of the best inversions ever, the dive loop. The quick snap to 180 degrees and then the tight pullout is just so intense and whippy. I wouldn't say it's worth the money but I also wouldn't say avoid it.

  • Zach N.

    Smoothness Theming

This ride is mediocre to the core. The ride is smooth and the second half has decent positives, however the theming makes no sense and I genuinely find it tacky to experience. If they retheme this to make it better than I will put it higher.

  • Zach N.

    Pace Disappointing! Layout

This ride was very disappointing for me. The vest restraints were ridiculously tight on my torso. The first drop is okay, I didn't really get that much airtime, it was just floater. The ride then goes through these random forceless inversions. The only decent part of the ride was the zero-g-roll type element which rises up, inverts, and then snaps to the right. You get weak floater but the transition out of this inversion is pretty intense. The final corkscrew is also relatively shakey, it's not strong but it's noticable. Emperor wasn't what I was expecting for a new for 2022 B&M.

  • Zach N.

    Launch Capacity Harness Disappointing!

This ride was just so overhyped. The capacity on this thing is AWFUL, I waited what should've been a station wait but it turned into 10 minutes, that's outrageous. I also got one very forceless ride. No element was as good as people had said. There was a decently intense backwards launch but I was just so upset with the capacity, pacing, and disappointment that I decided not to get back in line. Oh, and for good reason, it was constantly over 60 minutes for the remaining duration of my day at Seaworld.

  • Zach N.

    Comfort Fun Intensity

Tatsu is a great ride. This is one of the most underrated coasters I have ever been on. The ride has extremely comfortable seats and restraints, and the ride overall is just fun. The ride does have an insane element; the pretzel loop. This pulls crazy g's for 4.5 seconds and is the most intense element I have ever been on riding a coaster. People need to show this coaster more love.

  • Zach N.

Airtimes First Drop Nice surprise! Discomfort

Apocalypse is probably the most overshadowed coaster at Magic Mountain. It doesn't get much attention in any direction. It's not hated on like Goliath, and it's not gushed over like X2 or Twisted Colossus. But this ride is fantastic, the ride has great airdrop, a fabulous first drop, and was just such a surprise to me with how good it was. The only complaint I have is with the discomfort, this ride is rough, and it does jackhammer quite a bit, but it really isn't bad enough to avoid the ride. If this ride got a retrack like Ghostrider did in 2016, I think people would see this ride for what it is and Apocalypse would see longer wait times.

  • Zach N.

First Drop Fun Intensity Dead spots

Goliath is a great ride. This is genuinely so over-hated that it actually upsets me. First off, get your OWN opinion y'all. The ride begins with a first drop of malice that lasts forever, while there isn't much airtime, the duration of the drop is what makes it good. The pullout of the drop (And frankly every pullout of this ride) is very intense. The turnaround offers good laterals in all rows. The floater hill gives weak floater airtime for a consistent amount. While I do agree the hill is weak, it's better than Twisted Colossus' speed hills which people claim to "love". The midcourse is the only part of the ride that deserves hate. This kills any pacing and excitement during the ride, and heavily weakens the second half of the ride. The second half has some turns with decent positives, and then the crazy helix; this crushes your bones into it while also lasting forever, afterwards, the ride has a couple more turns into the brakes. If you hate this ride, please stop lying to yourself and get your OWN opinion. (Cuz is it really THAT fun to copy others?)

  • Zach N.

    Nice surprise! Launch Fun Capacity

Superman is a very good ride. It starts with a launch out of the station, although it isn't very forceful, you get yanked into your restraint if you're going backwards, the spike is insane, seeing the ground below you is absurd and I had so much fun. This is probably my 'favorite' ride at the park. The ride has pretty mediocre capacity though making wait times long, so do this if it opens late in the morning, after a breakdown, or at rope drop. The experience of Superman: Escape from Krypton is one I didn't use to love, but now that I do, I think riders should give this coaster a second chance.

  • Zach N.

    Airtimes Fun Hangtime

Full Throttle is a good ride. There's not much wrong with it besides the brakes on the drop. You get good hangtime, good airdrop on that unfortunately braked drop, and you have a lot of fun. Good combo for a good coaster.

  • Zach N.

    Fun Intensity Smoothness

Batman is good. There is really nothing bad with this ride. The elements are all quite intense and the ride is very fun and smooth.

  • Zach N.

Fun Intensity Hangtime Discomfort Dead spots

Viper is good. This ride is quite fun with great intensity in it's first half, with great hangtime in it's second half. However, there are a couple dead spots on the ride and the first half can be really uncomfortable. Regardless of the cons, this ride is a classic, and I wish so many people wouldn't avoid it.

  • Zach N.

    Pace Fun Hangtime Harness Pointless

West Coast Racers is decent. There's honestly no real problem with this ride (Besides comfort collars). The only thing is that the ride is literally just everything the park already had, specifically Twisted Colossus and Full Throttle. Making this ride obsolete and basically pointless. I did like this ride, but I don't see why I should wait in line for this when I can do the same thing for Twisted Colossus or Full Throttle for a better experience.

  • Zach N.

    Location Layout Discomfort Dead spots

Gold Rusher is decent. The ride has a great location on the hillside, giving what feels like a tour of the massive thrill coasters which sit next to it. I honestly find the layout quite fun, it even has a couple of intense moments of laterals. However, this ride's middle section has a large dead spot until the finale, while also being mildly uncomfortable. I enjoy this ride, and it's a good piece of Magic Mountain history I think you should hop onto.

  • Zach N.

    Location Pace Discomfort Layout

Ninja is okay. The ride has an excellent location right on the midway of Samurai Summit, it has a nice hill to go down throughout the layout. The layout itself has great pacing, keeping speed up until the brakes. However, the layout is also quite boring. There's not much swinging or anything of interest. The only good part of the layout is when it makes a high swing over Jet Stream's lake, giving decent positives. While also being boring, the ride is quite uncomfortable, having a bad transition at every turn. Ninja is a mellow ride if you are riding with family, which seems to be it's purpose.

  • Zach N.

    Inversions Rattle Pointless Layout

Scream is mediocre. The ride has a nice presentation but features such a terrible location, it's at a dead end of the park which makes wanting to even ride it pretty difficult. The ride begins with a small turn out of the station (The station which, has great music). The first drop is really shaky and unpleasant, the first inversion follows the same pattern but with little to no forces at all. The rest of the ride layout follows this same dynamic of the first 2 elements, excluding one zero-g-roll. The roll is quite nice, but it's the only good element on the ride. This leads into my next point; this ride is obsolete in it's own park, Batman (The inverted coaster) is a 5 minute walk from Scream while also being much closer to it's fellow attractions. Batman features better forces than Scream in every way and is much smoother. This results in Scream being completely pointless. Scream is mediocre, but deserves to be in a park where it won't be overlooked.

  • Zach N.

    Fun Intensity Layout Discomfort

This ride is awesome! If you ride facing backwards the lift is already exciting as you're fighting to stay upright. You go through a great twister layout, with great laterals, positives, and snaps. That helix is also insane, seeing as how it is a gray out moment on a family coaster! The spinning adds to awesome layout. The only issue I have is the roughness, there are definitely parts of the ride where it is shaky, but it's not detracting from the ride experience. If you have time at Knott's do this ride, it is so worth your time!
