I wish the first launch had more punch to it, but it's such a complete ride that it deserves 5 stars. It was a blast and just ludicrously fast. Back row was amazing on the reverse peak and the hihat airtime.

Il possède un des launchs le plus faible du monde et je pense que si on fait une course à départ arrêté on peut limite courir plus vite tant c est mou. Une fois arrivé en haut et quand on retombe en arrière ca devient enfin intéressant car le train prend énormément de vitesse et c est cool . Petit moment en apesanteur sur la flèche et on passe une dernière fois sur le launch qui nous propulse en haut du top hat et on arrive à la meilleur partie du ride : un gros éjéctor de plus de 100 m de long qui vous envoie dans l espace voir plus loins, incroyablement violent je vous invite a vous tenir si vous êtes a gauche du train car vous vous ferez aspirez comme une merde sur le siège droit et impossible d y échapper ! arrivé en bas on reviens dans notre siège zone de frein et c est finit . Il serait tellement plus haut dans mon top si il était plus fiable et avec un meilleur débit . j aime pas faire comme tout le monde mais force est de constater que zamperla c est quand même vraiment un constructeur de merde . . .

The most surreal riding experience of my entire life. The amount of context and drama that led up to my very riding of Top Thrill 2 - from the terrible accident that fateful day in 2021, to my growing dehydration and hunger while in the queue - all came together for a moment that straight up did not feel real. I never even thought I was going to ride this, and it's not like there's anything you can do to prepare yourself for a 120 mph launch and a 420 ft top hat with a spiral. I haven't even gone that fast before. And somehow the bumps added to the otherworldly experience too? I could do a moment-to-moment review of this, but that would betray one of the strangest and most striking rides on a coaster I probably will ever have in my life. I just wish I could have ridden Dragster (or Ka) in their original visions.

C'est bien simple, j'en ai oublié Karnan, Hyperia, Iron Gwazi ou toute autre drop de coasters qui font pale figure comparés à ce monstre. Les launchs sont certes mous en accélération, mais la vitesse est impressionnante. Mention spéciale à la spike qui offre une vue imprenable sur le parc et le lac Erié. Enfin, aucune vibration gênante à signaler, mais la fiabilité du ride oblige à prioriser son créditage dès que possible au risque de le voir vous passer sous le nez

I list "rattle" as a con, but it's really more of a wobble that is there on each launch. I guess I was expecting the smoothness of the original TTD. The wobbling isn't uncomfortable, but it's annoying, and it took away some of the "top thrill" for me. The spike and top hat were very smooth, and those are my favorite parts. The hangtime on the spike is great! The lap bars are really comfortable, giving you the freedom to enjoy the forces.

I have no words other than: stellar. Literally. This ride is stellar. I am a huge lauched coaster lover, and this one has 3, the backwards one and the forwards right after the spike being two of my favorite elements of ALL TIMES. The spike was one of the signature elements of my former #2 (Toutatis), and TT2 elevates it to a completely new level. It actually feels like you're flying, the sensation is incredible. And that top hat man...so forceful, especially the drop (I rode it in the night in the back row). Even if it could seem incomplete to someone, a perfect ride for me must have launches, surprises, sustained elements, airtime and a good duration. And this ride has it all, so I don't care if it doesn't have a "traditional" layout. What a spectacular ride. Straight into my top 3 without a shadow of a doubt.

Got on opening day of 2025, and man. The wait was worth it. While no part of this ride matches the sheer gut punch of the original hydraulic launch, there's more than enough to make up for it. The lsm launches are fun, but the stars of the show are the back spike, and the additional forces you get up and over the top hat. I haven't decided if I like this more than the original, but it's absolutely a worthy replacement. Here's to a successful 2025, make it happen cedar point!

Though none of the launches beat the original one, it offers a one of a kind experience unlike anything else you’ll find. I got lucky and sat back row and the spike was absolutely mental. Obviously the biggest issue with this ride is downtime. The launches were good but nowhere near as punchy as the old one.

My num. 1 coaster...no doubt Since when i became passionate of roller coaster and amusement park in 2009 i dream about ride this type of strata coaster unfortunately i didn't ride kingda ka in time but this new version of top thrill dragster yes and a can say pretty sure that this new version is best ten the older one based of what i like on a coaster. this was the best experience i done in my entire life,not only in an amusement park the biggest injection of adrenaline and the craziest minute i experienced i absoloutely loved every inch of the track,specially the spike and the descent from the top hat,these 2 was the craziest airtime moment ever and i felt like i could do everything and i stood on the top of the world during the three ride on tt2 no one person of earth was more happy then me. visit cedar point and ride this coaster meant that i archieve my biggest goal and dream in my life as enthusiast i travelled from italy,i spent a lot of money and i waited 4 hours the first time...but i would repeat everything right now. best travel in my life and i can't wait to be back at cedar point unfortunately this coaster is very unreliable,it was closed therr days straight before i arrived at the park and it reopened just in time but even during my visit and while i was in the queue tt2 suffered a lot of problem it seems about the launch.... this in nt the best thing...because i risked to not ride tt2 and this thing could ruined my entire year....everything goes well in the end but....

Truly, mind-blowingly insane. I really don't have words to properly describe this coaster. It starts off with a slowish forward launch, but still manages to have a good kick at the beginning. That part isn't hugely exciting, but it is just the pre-show. The next launch, being launched backwards at 102MPH up the spike, is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. For a few seconds during this ride, I actually set a new personal overall land speed record while traveling in reverse. The fastest I had ever traveled on land was backwards. That's just crazy. Then, there's the spike. I already knew sort of what this was going to feel like because I have ridden Pantheon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, which has a similar but much-smaller element. That could never truly prepare me for this one though. Pulling up into the spike pounds you with positive Gs. Being that high above the ground and staring straight down at the people and things on the ground is an insane experience. Plus, there is excellent floater airtime for most of the time the train is on the spike. Then, it gets even more insane with the third launch up to 120MPH. That obviously set a new personal land speed record for me, and being in an open-air vehicle going that fast is an unreal experience. The pull-up into the top hat once again delivers extremely strong positive Gs. I might have grayed out (I was certainly very dehydrated when I rode this), but I'm not sure because it happened so fast. As soon as the pullout is complete, it is airtime, airtime, and more airtime until the next pullout. The 90° whip into the crest of the top hat delivers a burst of strong laterals along with more airtime. When the train was cresting the top hat, I could look down at the top of Millennium Force's lift hill. That coaster was of course once the tallest in the world and is still high up in the rankings., which is yet more insanity. The way down delivers yet more laterals on the "heartline roll" and similar positive Gs as before on the pullout. That ends the experience. It is short but very, very sweet. The restraints are very comfortable for my tall, leggy frame. I would describe them as on-par with Intamin and Mack over-the-shoulder lap bars, which they resemble closely. They also have no seat belt at all, which makes for a quick restraint check (and the ops are hauling). I have but 2 complaints, only one of which is about the ride experience. The train does vibrate some while traveling at high speed. I don't suspect this would normally cause me any discomfort, but I did get a (manageable) headache from my ride, likely due to my dehydration, which brings me to my next point, reliability. This is just not a very reliable ride at this stage, and I had to wait in line for about 2 hours through multiple breakdowns in order to ride (which is why I was dehydrated). After the longest breakdown (which involved work being done by a Zamperla engineer who was already on-site), they announced that the ride was back up and everyone already in line would get to ride, but it would be shut down again for maintenance afterward. I sincerely hope Zamperla and Cedar Point can get this thing working reliably, as it is an excellent ride and I hope as many people as possible get to experience it.

Before they added the triple launch I might not have even bothered riding it. But I had a fast pass so what the hell. Yeah, it's short. Still makes me go "so...wheres the rest of the coaster?" when I look at it. But if it hadn't broken down immediately after I rode it I'd for sure have gone on it 2-3 more times. Honestly it doesn't even need the hill, it's just so fun getting launched really fast lol. A lot of people complained that it was getting rough and the track is old, but I thought it was perfect- there's a perfect amount of rattle and vibration to the trains during that second and third launch to really make it feel like you're being accelerated to insane speed, faster and faster. If they made a coaster that was just like, half a mile of flat track with an LSM under it and then it turned around and deployed a parachute to slow you back down again I'd still think it was awesome

As someone who rode Kingda-ka years ago in its prime, this blows it out of the water. It’s a tiny bit slower and shorter, but since the king has fallen, this is the new number 2 fastest in the world (for now). It also kills kingda in excitement as the best part is hitting the launchers backwards to 100 mph and then hanging you upside down just to scream back to earth and relaunch again. It’s also smooth and with new cars super comfy. Hard to pick my fave at cedar point between this and steve. Want to add a quick con, which is reliability. I would have jumped back on this bad boy several times if it was open, but in the rain it was the first one down and over the two days I visited it was only open about 30% of the time. Lots of people just sitting in line hoping and never getting to ride. Doesn’t take away from the quality of ride, but if you’re headed there for tt2, then I’d check on how often it’s been down recently.

Absolutely incredible. The spike is awesome, the backwards speed is crazy, and the top hat and downwards spiral have absolutely insane ejector. The lap bars are also super comfortable and allow you to really feel that airtime. It absolutely lives up to the hype, and easily #3 in the park, and debatably could be higher. This park’s already crazy stacked lineup is now unreal. 10/10

Waited over 2 hours both times I rode and went down several times throughout the day but it was worth it. The backwards launch and spike are incredible. In the back row going over the top hat I got some Steel Vengeance level ejector airtime. I was out of my seat almost the whole way down the drop. The ride rattles a little but it doesn’t hurt the overall experience.

The tophat is one of the single most intense moments on any coaster out there. I honestly wasn't expecting to even be in my top ten favorite coasters, but it might be my favorite coaster I've done (I know most people probably disagree 🙃). I never expected to be able to ride this after the incident that occurred in 2024 and the brief shutdown at Coastermania, three days before I rode this. Even though Zamperla made major mistakes in their train design, they still managed to bring us one of the best coasters out there.

Despite the hype for TT2, it actually exceeded my expectations! While I do miss the overall intensity of the first launch on the original design, I believe that this reimagined version is actually a superior design. The first launch is nothing too intense but serves as a good appetizer that makes the second and third launches really hit you hard as you feel the difference in intensity with each successive launch! Riding backseat gives you an incredible view with awesome airtime as you get launched up the back spike! I also was not expecting to get a little bit of ejector air time as we crested the top hat leading to a noticeably strong whip on the corkscrew. Reliability issues keep this ride out of the S-Tier for me but solidly in the A-Tier.

I cant believe how much better the back row is than the front, the amount of time you spend stranded in the stratosphere is awesome, the slow launch at the start then the insane vertical backwards spike is amazing. I was lucky to get 7 rides on this monster of a ride. Some of the most comfortbale restraints as well, the only downside is the rough turn up the 420ft top hat, everything else is just perfect.

This ride is still just confusing to me and at first not what I expected. On one hand some elements I found to be quite overrated like the top hat and backwards launch, on the other hand I really enjoyed the spike, 3rd launch and the snaps on the top hat. The downwards spiral in particular is so insane and not even all in a good way. If you ride right seat and ragdoll it is so unnaturally snappy that it’s not even fun, it feels like a freak injury. When ridden properly it is a very insane yet still fun element. Overall it’s a hard ride to rank for me because it feels different every time to be but when I get a good ride it can be a great coaster, it’s just a lot of times parts of the ride are either kinda boring or too insane.

The first launch and climb are not much in terms of intensity, but the backwards launch into a prolonged moment of airtime with the spike is excellent. The final launch section gives you a prolonged sense of speed while launching you even faster into the original top hat. Finally, the higher center of gravity on the new trains combined with a slightly higher top speed make the airtime on the top into the spiral drop much more intense than Dragster ever was. The seats and restraints are very comfortable, and operations are currently quite good, often hitting around a 90 second dispatch interval. Hopefully this ride will operate successfully going forward.

i was not expecting this to be as great as it was. we waited for 2 hours for it to open, called it quits, the came back when it was running in the afternoon. the crowd was electric and i loved the atmosphere of it. the operations were incredible, hats off to the TT2 crew, they dispatched a train as soon as the previous went over the top hat. and the ride... wow. that first launch doesn't look like much, but it's pretty fun, but the next 2 were incredible. the second one was even better and you get hella airtime on that spike. the third launch hit me like a bullet train, and that view at the top was immaculate. the only gripe i have with it is a bit of a rattle, but it was sort of like diamondback's rattle, where it doesn't ruin the ride experience, but it was noticeable. this ride is a pretty good reincarnation of its predecessor, cheers to zamperla for getting their shit together.

When it kicks into second gear going backwards, that's where the real fun starts. Serious positive G's going up into the spike. The hangtime on the spike is surreal and feels like it lasts forever. Only a 20mph difference between the second and third launches but that third launch feels like it's doing an extra 50. Airtime on the tophat is crazy but not as crazy as the ragdoll-level laterals when you hit the spiral. Highly recommend keeping your arms down for that part. First ride to actually halfway pull my ponytail out.

Also, the airtime on that top hat and the intensity of that spiral drop there is amazing, something I don't think I could ever get tired of. The launches kind of suck. That first launch especially has no bite, and it looks pathetic while sitting in the stands and watching the ride run. The 2nd and 3rd launches are more akin to boosts than actual launches since they are just helping the train get up to speed. Sit in row 1 for the best experience. The sense of speed is the best there and I argue the airtime on the top hat is better there too. Sit in the back if you want the best experience on the spike.
