Fun Headbanging Too short
Having been on all 3 iterations of this ride (Iron Wolf, Apocalypse and Firebird) I have to say this is probably the worst. The headbanging is the worst on this version. The layout is too short. All that being said, I do still enjoy it but in my opinion, it pales in comparison to other rides at Six Flags America like Superman: Ride of Steel, Batwing and Wild One.

Airtimes Layout Rattle
Good layout. Great airtime. Love how the layout utilizes the terrain. Really solid coaster.
-
Airtimes First Drop Ejectors
There are literally no downsides to Twisted Timbers, aside from the massive line that I had to wait in. This is an airtime machine. Much better than the coaster that previously occupied that space.
-
Intensity Smoothness Layout
I like everything about this ride. The operations are great and the line moves super fast. It has a great first drop. The zero G stall is it's best element.
-
Capacity Smoothness Layout
This rides much better than it looks off ride. It's good mix of elements and intensity makes for one of the better B&M coasters I've been on.
-
Inversions Headbanging Discomfort
The only cool part of this coaster is the roll over element. Other than that, this is a pain machine that has no other redeeming qualities. Hopefully the re-theme with new trains and new restrains will improve the experience somewhat.

Intensity Smoothness Layout
One of the best B&M's I've been on. It's got an incredible layout and for it being a relocated coaster, it's silky smooth. The overbanking turns at high speed and the interlocking corkscrews are my favorite elements. It's a near perfect coaster.
-
Airtimes Pace Ejectors Rattle
Aside from the rattle, it's an airtime machine with great pacing. It constantly delivers. It's my number 1 coaster and nothing I've ridden so far comes close.
-
First Drop Intensity Ejectors
The best coaster at Six Flags America and still one of my 10 favorite coasters to this day. It features an incredible first drop, an couple of intense helixes and a handful of hills that feature spectacular moments of ejector airtime. Probably the only coaster in the park that I'd wait more than 60 minutes for.

Nice surprise! Fun Theming
I was fairly surprised when I rode Skull Mountain for the first time. The outdoor facade is beautiful and yeah, the theming indoors could be a little better but good enough. As for the ride experience, it's a nice layout and is fairly smooth. There's also a good moment of ejector airtime towards the end of the ride if you sit in the back. Nice family coaster. Absolutely would recommend.
-
Intensity Headbanging
It's a standard Vekoma boomerang. I don't find these coasters fun and this one was I found to be particularly rough.
-
Pace Layout Rattle Discomfort
A nice layout and although this coaster does keep its pacing well throughout the ride, the roughness is a bit too much. This pales in comparison to the other woodie in the park.
-
Nice surprise! Pace Masterpiece
Wild One constantly gets overlooked by the other, bigger coasters at Six Flags America but it's a gem. You wouldn't even know it's over 100 years old. It's well maintained and rides pretty smooth for a wooden coaster. The double up and double down are great features and while the final helix may be a tad bit rough, it's a brilliant, intense element. I cannot recommend this ride enough for every enthusiast, especially if you love classic wooden roller coasters.
-
Intensity Duration
For a pretty standard out-and-back layout, this is pretty intense and rides much better than it looks.
-
Pace Layout
For being the original B&M floorless coaster, it's pretty impressive. Silky smooth and great pacing. Love the interlocking corkscrews
-
First Drop Layout Discomfort Lap Bar
I'd rate this coaster 5 starts if it weren't for the horrendous lapbars.

First Drop Smoothness Layout Dead spots
Brilliantly themed for a Six Flags park and a fantastic ride experience. It's my favorite B&M coaster and easily my favorite hyper. The first drop is one of the best I've experienced and the layout is fantastic. Still silky smooth.
