    Intensity Layout Reliability

Batwing is a great Flying Dutchman ride with intense elements (especially the forward facing loop), but it suffers from reliability issues. It is a roll of the dice if the ride will be open as it is very technical and complicated. The dispatches are often very long as well. Still, if you are able to get on it, it is a blast from start to finish. I love the near miss elements and the low to the ground section towards the end.

    Pace Layout Rattle Headbanging Discomfort

Mind Eraser has the bones of a decent coaster but it suffers from headbanging and uncomfortable restraints. The ride has solid pacing and several near miss elements but you have to focus on riding it defensively the entire time.

  • Solar Winds

    Inversions Launch Intensity Rattle Reliability

A fun spaghetti bowl coaster. The launch provides a nice punch and the inversions are all great. The second half picks up in intensity. The only downside is the reliability, as the ride seemed to break down every other train. There is also some shuffling at times but it is nothing too bad.

    Airtimes First Drop Comfort

While I may prefer Orion overall, Diamondback is a very close second in the park. Offers some of the best floater airtime on any ride. The first drop is phenomenal and I love the splashdown effect towards the end. It's currently my 3rd favorite B&M hyper behind Candymonium and Nitro.

  • Solar Winds

    First Drop Pace Ejectors Harness

What an excellent addition to Great Adventure. The first drop gives awesome ejector and from that point on it is just speed and airtime galore. The restraints and trains can be a bit uncomfortable at times but it isn't too problematic. Overall a super fun ride and definitely a top 3 ride in the park.

  • Solar Winds

First Drop Layout Rattle Headbanging Discomfort

Green Lantern definitely has potential. The layout is solid and the first drop gives good airtime. However, the part that kills this ride is how horribly uncomfortable it is. There's a lot of rattle and the restraints cause a good amount of headbanging. It's worth a ride if you know how to properly ride a standup, but you definitely need to ride this defensively.

    Fun Dead spots

It's a fun ride and it's fairly smooth for its age. As long as you keep your expectations realistic, it is an enjoyable mine train ride.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes Fun Too short Discomfort

A surprisingly pretty solid family PTC. It has a good drop considering its target audience and there are some fun airtime hills. As long as you keep your expectations level it is an enjoyable ride. I think it is perfect for a young child or someone who wants to experience the general feeling of a roller coaster without starting with something they wouldn't be able to handle. It is a nice in-between from a kiddie ride and a more intense thrill ride.

    First Drop Pace Intensity

I knew that this coaster was going to be great going in, but it still managed to blow my expectations away. Definitely be sure to get a front row ride, the sense of speed is off the charts. The first turn is loaded with positive Gs and I found myself greying out twice out of my three rides. The turn after the first hill also provides some incredible speed. You just tear through the layout and the transitions are relentless. The ride is fairly smooth, but I found the back to have a noticeable rattle, especially during moments of higher positive Gs. Right after getting off I knew for sure that this was the best steel coaster I have ever ridden. It's just such a blast from start to finish. What a ride.

  • Solar Winds

    Lap Bar Discomfort Pointless Airtimes

Hurler is not that great, at least at this stage. There's a lack of airtime and the layout was very bland. The first half was fine enough, but the second half was extremely rough. It's my least favorite main coaster at the park. This thing is just screaming for the RMC treatment.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes Smoothness Layout

A great addition to Hersheypark. It's emphasis on floater complements Skyrush's focus on ejector. It's extremely smooth and has a great first drop. My favorite elements are the wave turn and the bank around the fountain.

  • Solar Winds

    Launch Fun Too short

My first Intamin impulse so I don't have anything to compare it to. It is a bit derivative but the launch is very forceful and the ride is overall fun.

  • Solar Winds

    Inversions Fun Layout Rattle

After my first ride in the 2nd row, I thought it was a decent ride but nothing too great. My 2nd ride in the back row couldn't have been any more different, though. The drop gave way more ejector and it was more forceful overall. I still prefer Dominator and Bizarro, but this ride is quite slept on. The JoJo roll is great, too.

    Nice surprise! Layout Discomfort

A fun little PTC. I doesn't do anything in particular exceptionally well but it's definitely worth a ride. It was a lot smoother than I was expecting, too.

  • Solar Winds

    Inversions Smoothness Layout

A very underrated invert. It's incredibly smooth, especially for its age. I love the layout and all the inversions. Definitely sit in the front row.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes Lap Bar Ejectors

The layout is similar to Magnum but it's way smoother. There's some incredible flojector airtime and a great sense of speed. The first drop in the back provides nice whip. It's definitely the best ride in the park.

  • Solar Winds

    Pace Layout Rattle Discomfort

GCI's very first coaster has gotten fairly rough over the years, but I still think it has a strong layout. You may need to ride it defensively, but it's fun for what it is. I think Hershey should look into titan track or some sort of retract, because that's the only significant flaw with the ride in my opinion. It definitely should not be torn down, due to its historical value and otherwise great layout.

  • Solar Winds

    Theming Inversions Layout Rattle

A solid B&M floorless coaster. The inversions are fun, it has a good layout, and when the effects are working it adds to the experience. Some of the transitions are a little rough but nothing too bad.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes First Drop Layout

A phenomenal B&M hyper with some of the best floater airtime I've experienced. The layout and pacing are also great. A definite must ride at Great Adventure.

  • Solar Winds

    Launch Fun Intensity Rattle

Along with Top Thrill Dragster, this will likely be the most intense 30 seconds of your life. It is a bit of a one trick pony and very brief, but the pure insanity of the launch more than makes up for it. It's almost so fast that your body hasn't even processed what has just happened.

  • Solar Winds

    First Drop Smoothness Hangtime Harness

A pretty underrated coaster. It was a lot more intense than I was expecting. It's very smooth and has some awesome headchopper (or feetchopper, in this case) moments. The first drop is pretty disorienting as well. The only complaint I have is the bulky restraints, but it makes some sense due to the nature of the ride. Overall, I have got to tip my hat to B&M here.

  • Solar Winds

    Inversions Intensity Layout

A true classic. I rode this in the front row and it was awesome. Very whippy inversions and it's overall very smooth. The bulky restraints can be a bit problematic, but overall I didn't find them to be that bad.

  • Solar Winds

Inversions Location Layout Rattle Capacity Discomfort

A solid ride that is unfortunately hampered by the restraints. They're very uncomfortable and provide very little wiggleroom. The layout is fine, but nothing really to write home about. There is a noticeable rattle and headbanging, but only in a few sections and I didn't find it to be too unbearable. Overall, I think Vortex is just okay. Most of my main grievances would be solved if it was converted into a floorless. It would also cut down on the long dispatches too.

  • Solar Winds

    Theming Launch Hangtime Capacity

What a fun ride. Some of the best hangtime you'll experience on a coaster, and with 2 solid launches. The theming is also great, especially for Cedar Fair standards. The turns and loops provide some nice positive Gs. Its compact layout reminded me a lot of Maverick, but considerably less intense. The JoJo roll at the beginning of the ride makes you almost fall out of your seat. Definitely do not miss this one while at Carowinds.

  • Solar Winds

    Location Intensity Capacity Discomfort

One of the scariest and most disorienting coasters I've ridden and I have 53 credits under my belt. The feeling you get plunging into the water with all your body weight on the restraint is a strange feeling. It flips you around a lot and half the time you don't even know what is going on. Nighthawk is definitely not for everyone, but it's a very unique experience. My only complaints are that sometimes the restraints were a bit uncomfortable, and the dispatch times are notoriously bad.

  • Solar Winds

    Inversions Pace Intensity Too short

A great invert that is packed full of great elements and intensity. The back row is seriously no joke. The only gripe I have is that it is a little short. Maybe just add another element or two and it has potential to be the best B&M invert.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes First Drop Pace

A very underrated hyper coaster. The layout is great and the floater is phenomenal. Some of the most fun overbanks I have been on. Definitely do not sleep on this ride. It's awesome.

  • Solar Winds

    Airtimes First Drop Pace

Amazing giga coaster. Spectacular drop and sense of speed throughout. It also has great pacing and elements. I think this is B&M's best work.

  • Solar Winds

    Location Smoothness Too short

A solid ride for children or people who want to work their way up to more intense rides. It provides some nice scenery but it's very forceless and really only worth a ride once. Not too much to say about this one. It may be a good change of pace after an intense ride like Skyrush or Storm Runner (which is right next to it).

  • Solar Winds

    Launch Intensity Layout Too short

NOW GET READY. HERE WE GO. An amazing hydraulic launch coaster with an insane acceleration. The Cobra roll is the highlight element here, but the heartline roll and snake dive are amazing elements too. It could be a bit longer, but that's the only gripe I have. It's just an awesome adrenaline rush and an experience you cannot miss.
